This video was helpful! The Harlequin Troupe sounds very fun. It seems like they have their own mini-quests, or achievements, which they're trying to accomplish during the battle.
It’s a really fun team. Little bit of a learning curve with them. But once you get that down, you have so many ways to play them because of that mechanic

I binge bought too many Craftworld models to get back in (played 3rd and 4th with other armies) 8th and fucked around too much. Even in 9th I'm behind on the rules and such and I don't have a usable army. Was thinking of just doing Kill Team and small 40k battles to encourage me to tackle the pile of grey and get some games in.
It’s a great game for that! Games Workshop did say they are making 10th edition a lot simpler and the initial codexs will be free, if you want to jump back into 40k I think 10th ed is specifically meant for that (Not that it’s out yet, just from what they are saying)
As much as having a medic is nice for the Corsairs, you really gotta play into the right positioning to be able to survive an attack and use the heal cuz I find that if any of these models take like 2 or 3 hits they just die since 8 wounds.
last i heard about the eldar, they were a meek civ in the middle of a battle between toads and emos, then when the war started, they slipped into the webway with a bunch of toad tech and started blossoming in their own lane until they had nothing to do but grow pop, which made slanesh very much alive. But hey, my sources summed it up in like 40 seconds, so if they actually were a super power and not pompous tech thieves, thats cool too xD
40k isn't the most consistent thing on lore. I think part of the problem is there's the Eldars version of the history. And the Imperium's version of the history. And they might all be missing pieces. So a lot of what we read of 40k lore is coming from someone's perspective, and that person might not have the whole story. So the toad tech might be more accurate that anything I've said lol.

is it possible to add a 1 sniper from the rangers to the dire avengers, swapping out a rifle unit?
