I watched random episodes when I was younger.
When the super paranoid conspiracy theorist survivalist calls you a nut. You're probably normal. That line from Burt Gummer always makes me chuckle.
That statement would hold water if Burt wasn't constantly proven right.

This show was a lot of fun! Wish it could have gone on longer. Bert is always a fun character to watch.

I loved the fact that the late great Richard Biggs was in this r.i.p.
He was Dr Franklin in Babylon 5, at one point he sits at a computer screen & the sci fi geek who's name I forget says "this reminds me of a scene in Bab5 where Sinclair sits a computer. . ." he gets cut off before he finishes the line. The script writers missed a trick there, he should have asked Richards character "did you ever see that show?", what a missed opportunity

I actually had my suspicions that Tremors 4 was actually planned as a flash-back episode of the Tremors TV series, but when the series was cancelled, they liked the idea so much they decided to give it a larger budget and proceed with it anyway. Finding out that it was being filmed during production of the first season of the show is odd...but I still think the concept started out as an episode planned for the show, but the concept and story were so large that it would either take several episodes to accomplish, or a feature length movie.
I really need to find this show yesterday. Not only do I love the Tremors film series, but I also love monster of the week shows, so this sounds like two great things that should have been great together and damn sci-fi channel for screwing this over (I refuse to write their name the way its spelled now because its stupid)

i originally thought it was in the right order when i first watched it, but what you say makes a lot of sense, thank you for clearing all that up.
I remember this! I used to watch NeGE anime when it was aired in Finland (where I live) like 2005 or something, and this is what came fron that channel before it, and sometimes I even enjoyed it more than my main event (NeGE's little... challenging). I've been seeking for this for a some time, which has been hard, since I didn't even remember the name of the show... To tell the truth, since it was always shown KINDA late at night (like, 1.00 am), I half thought that I might have dreamed it!
I did enjoy the series early on, but thought it started strong then fell apart. BTW: my favorite line came from the episode with the modified shriekers; "Back-up, back-up generator!!"
I watched first episode when this show first aired, didn't like it.. years later got the DVD set binged them and loved the heck out of them, Gross acting is consistent and superb throughout the entire thing, the new monsters were interesting and cool cameo by Chris Lloyd, truly underrated show
Tremors 3 back to perfection...setup the story for the series...I hated that this show was cancelled though by scifi
I remember learning about this show awhile back, and marathoning it on youtube. I don't know if the entire series is still up now though due to youtubes crackdown on that kinda' stuff.
As for the show, there were actually some good episodes... and the show was overall, worthwhile.
Also, one of the two mixmaster scientists was played by Richard Briggs in his last role before his death. He's remembered for his role as Doctor Franklin on Babylon 5.
Long lost relationships showing up. Lol! Foreshadowing Tremors 5 in 2015. I wish this show hadn't been canceled. I was a HUGE Tremors fan back in the day and still am. My dad and I were BIG Syfy fans and were planning to watch the premiere together but he got sick and ended up in the hospital so I had to watch it alone. FARSCAPE was his favorite show.
I used to dislike the idea of the Mixmaster stuff BUT now I like it! It shakes up the formula (Pun Intended) for the Perfectionites

the sad part of this is it makes the idea of burts monster hunting videos seem more real. i mean in tremors 5 they mention big foot gremlins and what not. this series could have introduced them. also RIP FRED WARD. always has been my favorite character.

Great video, can't wait to see more! Tremors was one of my favorite movies; I didn't mind that it went down a more comedic route in the sequels as long as the Graboids were there. I never did see the tv series; I remember being excited when I heard a new Tremors show w/ Kevin Bacon was being made but it was cancelled before it was even aired :(

As an update for these responses.... Michael Gross has confirmed that he has not been in contact, 'nor been contacted in the past by Kevin or anyone at Amazon (the ones doing the miniseries) to appear in ANY capacity. So no, no Burt Gummer, unless they do a last-minute decision. Stupid decision on Kevin's part. Having Gross in it in SOME capacity, even for one episode, would help pull in the Tremors fanbase to help the show. On another note: Tremors 6 is confirmed. Michael Gross said so awhile ago.

I don't remember ever watching this show, but somehow every episode seems familiar. Maybe it was my backup show for the commercial breaks during something else.
Loved the movies, Did a little love wee ,when I found out about this show, but I cannot find it being on any channel ever in the UK, so I did manage to track most of them down on the web, and they are brilliant, especialy the ideas for what was going on, it should of being a long running show, and I love to see Family ties Mr Keaton kick ass as Burt Gummer.

Thanks to you I do remember this show still am a fan of the movies was geeking out when I heard about part 5 an now looking forward to part 6 but being a 90s baby(95) it was hard to catch it on the air since I was into cartoon but I did see the "green gas" episode it was the only 1 I seen im glad I watch ur review being 22 it made me wish the show kept going wish I watched it as a kid an hope there's more to come

I always thought that Dead Meat was Melvin's dad due to Melvin's reaction after he was sucked into the tire.

I miss the tremors series :( I have all the episodes that they made on my laptop and I was going to watch them all to find out what happened to el blanco because I watched the fifth movie and I wanted el blanco but what I got was no el blanco......not even a little bit of el blanco and that really pushed my bottons so now I just watch the tremors series over and over and over again so I can see el blanco
Dud those future episode plots sounded amazing (the vampire one sounds weird to me), I’m really disappointed they cancelled the show but I’m glad with what we got.

How can sci-fi hate the shriek and destroy episode that's was ones of the most badass episodes and if you think about it really appeals the tremors name
I think I kinda get where they tried to go with the second environmental episode. I've heard a lot about how cliques in college and university can peer pressure someone into drastic changes in opinion to feel "accepted" and the like, which is kind of a problem when you're away from home and all you have is the campus echo chamber. Maybe the message was more about that, but could have been handled better?

I think that if the show was allowed to at least finish it's first season it would have had a higher chance of having multiple seasons. But at least a new TV show is coming soon with Kevin Bacon returning as Val so all's not lost!!
I used to have the hots for Victor Browne back in the day, when he was on the soap opera "One Life to Live." If I'd known he was on this tv show, I might've been interested in checking it out. I guess it didn't get much promotion?

Water Hazard is a GREAT episode so is Shriek and Destroy and Night of The Shrikers
412 is still ONE OF THE COOLEST MONSTERS in The Tremors TV Series Allison even if The CGI for the monster was horrible even for 2003
I actually have the entire Tremors series all 7 movies on Google TV. The first four movies on a DVD 4 PACK and The entire Tremors TV Series all 13 episodes on DVD The CGI of The Monsters are absolutely terrible even by 2003 standards But whenever Burt Gummer and the cast of characters are in danger I actually believe it 💯% because the character acting is top notch. The writing of the characters is also top notch as well as the directing I FUCKING LOVE THIS SERIES
i think it sucks that they've never settled things between he and heather and he's carried that torch for almost 30 years and never really moved on. You know that his crisis of meaning that broke them up probably could have been solved following his repeated calls to arm against graboids and derivatives, at least in the earlier years of the franchise. Plus you know he could have easily used his relative fame as a way to bag a new woman just like heather if he really wanted to but he just keeps to himself, pines over his lost love, and waits for new opportunities to send graboids to hell. I think he also seems to be suffering from a lot of monster-related PTSD but they use the parasite to write off those symptoms in a cold day in hell
The lost episodes that feature Val and Earl would have made the show 10 out of 10 but I still like the show imagine Sasquatch go 1v1 on a Graboid
i liked only the episodes with the Tremors monsters... i hated the episodes that had other kinds of monsters.
P.S. Night of the Sheekers and A Little Paranoia are my 2 favorite episodes.
What the series should have been about was that the each episode the Graboids in other locations around the country/world have several new metamorphosis ... that would have made the show awesome!

Wow I never knew there was a TV show I loved the first one and kind of liked the 2nd one. Pretty sure the 3rd and 4th installment were made for cable haven't bothered with tremors 5 yet. Is it any good?
I was pretty disappointed with Tremors 5. It didn't have the right kind of Tremors spirit. Although, that could just be because the movie had a completely different production crew (writers, director and all).

Stewart Damien And there's more: The monsers were mainly CGI. Compared to how Tremors 1-4 mainly utilized practical effects, the only thing that wasn't computer-generated was when these two Graboid tentacles attacked Burt. A tremors movie with nothing but cartoon monsters! What a new low!

the effects aren't amazing.. and a few moments of weird.
but i liked Tremors 5 more than 4, 3 maybe tied depending on what you like about the series. I prefer the non monster moments of 3, but the monster moments in 5 (sans the ending, it wasn't as creative as i wanted is all)
but really for me. I just do not like the new character they put in 5. If he wasn't in it I think i'd have liked it more.
2 is the best, then certain TV episodes, then 1, then 3/5 and 4.

I loved this show and picked up the DVD set a while ago and am glad they're gonna bring it back in some form. I always associated Dean Norris with this show rather than Breaking Bad. Also, those ideas they had for later in the series were awesome as fuck.
Before Tremors 2 Aftershocks was released there was an idea for making a Tremors TV series back in the 90s.With Val,Earl & Burt.Called out to kill reported monster sightings it was all part of lost episode featured on Official Tremors 2 Aftershocks fan page.Also in the show before it was a show a white graboid would show up as Val and Earl and Burt would try to capture.In true fashion of never throwing away good ideas Tremors 3 introduced to El Blanco.Along with the premise of the show.SCI-FI channel along with Universal approached S.S.Wilson and Brent Maddock on the show.Expect they didn't want to be like Tremors films with Graboids,Shirkers and Ass Blasters.And when SCI-FI screwed the original order of the show also during the time showed aired where I lived storms would knock out the satellite.Oct 6Th Tremors 5 Bloodlines will be released returning Micheal Gross as Burt Gummer and Jamie Kennedy.
