This is by far one of the best Johnny Cash movies that was ever done complete with some of his music Who could ask for better It teaches us despite whatever difficulties we face in life that we should never give up and that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself
Try "Murder in Coweta County" with Andy Griffith as the racist king of a County and Johnny as the incorruptible sheriff of the County next door. True story. And very good quality film. Cash really shone in these films. I worked with some people in the service and later as the guy who hired others in construction who were illiterate. It was a very sad thing to see. The company ended up paying for lessons to get the GED's. They were so proud to accomplish that! And I was so glad to see them move forward.......

@@BoomerChannel_YT He took a lot of crap for being against the War. But he still went to Vietnam, on his own to Long Bihn to entertain the troops. Front line! No Bob Hope and Raquel Welch. Evenhelped kick start the EPA with a letter to Nixon. He was a unique man, with June at his side. She wrote a really good autobiography called "Among My Klediments" (souvenirs) which included her time in NYC before meeting Johnny in July of 1956. She went to study acting. Elia Kazan persuaded her to move there to study acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in 1955/1956. She even wrote a song about it. It was called "I Used to be Somebody". If you ever see that "Murder in Cowetta County" film (true story) you will see that her time there was well spent! The book is heavy on gospel references, but that was who she was.
Although the music side of Cash’s career in the ‘80s suffered, the acting side of his life flourished. Gems like this are proof.
