Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men's game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy-which has been awarded to the winner since 1916-is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.
The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

Every time the PGA has had a tourney at Valhalla, they've had some memorable finishes. I hope they come back.
I understand the trouble on Fri may nullify that. Hopefully Valhalla will redesign the entrances for players, volunteers, and visitors. I'm pretty sure that is possible.

It was a great tournament and absolutely needs to be on a rotation, putting simple over or under pass at the entrance is easy and should have been done before, thoughts for the families of those injured or killed

I don’t think that course is worthy of a PGA championship. 20 under par It’s obviously not the best test.

if that was the case, why couldn’t everyone shoot that score? everyone is capable of playing well and deserved their spots into the championship based purely on their skill level and ability to play golf at the highest level, yet a majority of the field was less than double digits under par and even the amounts that were double digits under par, couldn’t reach -20? in fact only two golfers in the entire field could reach that number. it has nothing to do with the course, and everything to do with players being able to score well. course conditions should also be taken into consideration when making comments like that. dustin johnson managed to shoot -20 when he won the master’s in 2020, does that mean augusta is not a course worthy of hosting the master’s? they could hold a tournament on the easiest course in the world and it would still be a great test for professional golfers and their ability to go low, and in the end, only one wins no matter what. competition is still competition, and the better golfers will still outperform the latter.

not to mention, valhalla is a legendary course and has hosted the pga championship for decades. it’s not always about the course difficulty, but also about the beauty, tradition, and the meaning each course possesses to professional golf.

@@squeegeesen well said. I enjoyed every minute yesterday. Haymakers left and right from the best in the world. Just like you said about DJ at Augusta. Give these guys a soft course and no wind and they are going to tear it up! And quite honestly it was only a select few that did. In the end 3 guys pulled away. If not for them the tournament was around 14 to 15 under which is about normal these days. We don't need even par U.S. Opens for every major. I truly enjoy watching these guys go low. Just shows how good they are!

@@thomasrobinson5190 agreed! i’m kind of tired of courses trying to make players struggle for a par, it’s not enjoyable to watch golfers shoot bad scores. far more enjoyable to see them go as low as possible!
