As a 12.07 ptt player, I have several comments to mention here 1. How to read Arcaea Charts - All sky notes have a shadow on the track. By tracking the distance between the note and its shadow, you can figure out the height of any sky note. Also, especially in the easier and older levels, when arc notes change height, they usually travel completely from the sky to the ground, or vice versa. They rarely stop in the middle, although it does happen like in Rise FTR or Red and Blue PRS. And the trace notes are meant to help you figure out where the sky notes are. Usually, they're at the sky input, but if the trace notes fall below the sky input, the sky notes can end up there too. 2. Indicators in the Corner - You mentioned that there are indicators in the corner for when arc notes are going up or down. *THIS IS ONLY IN PRESENT LEVELS.* Other types of levels will not have such indications, and you will have to figure out for yourself when a note is going up or down (refer to comment #1). 3. Track Speed - Someone else has mentioned this but you can change the track speed in settings. I know you know this because you've clearly done it already, but I would like to add to the other commenter that you should change your track speed depending on the difficulty/speed of the song and whether or not you can handle that speed. If you can't find a balance point between those two factors, then the song might be too hard for you. Try an easier song and come back to the song later, when you're ready to try the song at a faster track speed. 4. Hit Sounds - I play with hit sounds, and I recommend you play with hit sounds if you want to time your hits as closely as possible with the music. I remember the moment I played with hit sounds, it's much easier to get Pures in the song. This doesn't really matter if you're going for a full combo, but the potential (ptt) system (a measure of your skill) in Arcaea measures your play level by your score, which is measured solely by your accuracy (not by combo). 5. Difficulty Conversion to Project Sekai - As an Arcaea player who has tried project sekai. I have created an approximate conversion of the difficulty numbers between Arcaea and Project Sekai: Multiplying the Arcaea difficulty number by 3 would get you a good approximation of the Project Sekai difficulty. That means it would take about the same amount of skill to "complete" a 15-17 on Project Sekai as it would be to "complete" a 5 on Arcaea. However, Arcaea demands a wider range of skills, so you would still need some practice to get used to the new patterns on Arcaea. 6. Please Continue Playing This Game - I would really like to see you continue playing this game. The game's unique mechanics is what caused me to love this game this much. Due to the 3D nature of the game, there are certain charting patterns in Arcaea that don't exist in other rhythm games like Project Sekai. And some patterns can require certain techniques that won't exist in other rhythm games (although this might be exclusive to thumb players like me).
A few things to say here: 0:26 There is actually a 4th difficulty called BEYOND which has the level range from 8 to 12 (As of this comment, only 38 songs have the Beyond chart and the one and only Lv.12 song is Testify), and those sky notes can go OUTSIDE the playfield (The playfield is the shape of the floor lanes from below the sky input) 2:34 Wait until you play Arcana Eden or Tempestissimo lol 6:27 There are plenty of songs in this game in which the note speed changes, but they are not as cancer as Yaminabe chart 8:14 This game DOES have hitsounds, you can disable/enable it in the Setting button If you have any question, you can ask me freely if you like

Few notes. I recommend mastering the "Present" difficulty first since I noticed that you're actually quite in "Past" difficulty but still struggling at "Future" (don't get me started at beyond). Set the note speed around 3-4 (speed it up or slow it down, it's your choice) And the world mode system is how you unlock the other songs in the "Arcaea" pack. It's basically grinding. Playing in world mode also levels up you characters so they get better stats as you go through world mode. Based on your performance (I'm a PTT11 player). You're actually quite good for a beginner. For the free pack in Arcaea: Past level goes to limit of 4, present goes 7, future goes 9+ and beyond goes 10. If unlock other specific song pack, 4 different difficult would can up to maximum 6/9/11/12
16:53 you won't get many notes from pst, prs and ftr 7-9 (some) tracks, and you might want to unlock the byd versions of some of those songs such as vexaria or kanagawa cyber culvert. Though inkar usi doesn't have a byd chart if I'm not wrong.
11.8x here, ready to help out you poor souls - definitely for one increase the speed if you can barely read the song, you may think this is counter-intuitive, but it works, somehow - logging into a fresh account will give you the ability to unlock songs via world mode, buy packs, and have a potential system (aka the number at the top of this comment, basically shows your, well, potential) - the potential system shows how good you are at the game (well not really), better scores on songs increase the number, while ranking lower scores can decrease it. only real use is pretty much primitive lights, saikyo, aegle, and beyond chapter, speaking of which... - the beyond chapter is only unlockable at 9.00 ptt and above, where you can unlock even harder versions of the song with a new song jacket, new chart, harder limitations, and sometimes even an entire new song! - in general, you should definitely try some of the harder present difficulties to definitely get your skill up, like clotho or sakura fubuki, i would recommend oblivia especially to increase your skill with arcs, and if youre brave enough, you can attempt the future difficulties again, some recommended ftrs are inkar-usi, vexaria, and rise good luck on your arcaea journey, and hope you get better with this info!
I am playing for an year now, at 9.5, I've started struggling hard, like unable to full clear some 8ftr and 8+ftr and 8+present, forget the 9songs, I did increase my speed to 3 after reaching 9.4 but it feels like I've gotten hardstuck, unable to identify patterns or even I do, not able to hit it fast enough Ohh and I can't hit pure memory in any difficulty, always far one note atleast

So here something else that you might find around Arcaea, If you have made an account: - Just remind you here that you should log in every 1st January. You will receive 100 Memories for free. (and must play at least once during that year) (Edit 2) - *Fragments is NOT TRANSFERABLE.* Even when you have an account, only Memories will transfer to your new device. Bonus Stuff: You can add 'Hikari' and 'Tairitsu' to your friends list by add their Friend ID: 000000001 (Hikari) and 000000002 (Tairitsu) _(*1 Edited: I came to think it again and even with the reason of 'There was the requirement to unlock the song by playing chart from old version to new version in order'. That is not something even myself would like to do in daily routine play. I mean, I did group chart sometime when I was trying to look for song that I haven't achieved EX yet. But when I consider chart design over each version of the game. That is quite reasonable as chart design back in the day was simple, Linear Arc, not very complicated note pattern looking, etc. To these days an 'Thunderbolt'/'Sawtooth' Arc, Wide Arc rotation, unusual note position after an Arc, etc. Even myself, struggle a bit to play modern Future 9/9+.)_
Some things to note: I cannot stress enough how important it is to get a good offset (should be obvious but it sounded off on the video to me by quite a lot unless it's the recording software) You can change the notespeed in the settings (if you haven't done that already) You hit the notes when they are above the line in Arcaea, not on the line If you ever purchase memories your first packs should be (in any order) Adverse Prelude, Eternal Core, Luminous Sky and Vicious Labyrinth Avoid Black Fate and Final Verdict until you've done the packs mentioned above. Those 6 packs are main story packs and you should generally go for main story before doing other packs, even if you have to do lower difficulties for them (especially Black Fate and Final Verdict) After that if you want more charts you can go for other packs
Imma wait here for your reaction to some late game stuff and yeah the main story and side story are really really good (if you have at least 50-100$ spare since most song here are properly requested and licensed)
Ah yes…the project sekai player struggling to play arcaea, how amusing! Anyway 11.26 ptt user here, i dont really know if you want tips but the songs here are really fun and nice to listen so here! •for arcs just follow the way it moves, it might take some time but once your used to it its really easy (as expected) •dont immediately progress to harder stages! It will be confusing, start off from present difficulty and then when you feel like you’ve gotten enough experience to progress practice some ftr 7 or 8 charts, then move on to the others •it will take some time to get good at the game, so i recommend to play the game every now and then (mostly everyday, but of course if you cant its fine) and play for abt 30min-1hr or higher, it may look little but it does alot over time •if you wanna get good at the game (or really good) this tip is optional but you would need to buy “song packs”. Song packs are the ones that would usually include 5-12(?) songs in them or higher. Sometimes they’d come in separate packs which would cost 300 memories (applies to collab packs aswell). If you plan to buy one someday (again optional) buy ambivalent vision pack, absolute reason, ephermal page, groove coaster pack, divided heart pack, sunset raidance , or dynamix pack (i really recommend the dynamix pack, it has 7-10 difficulty songs which is also a great beginner pack starter). I feel like theres more so i’ll come back later •refer to the tip on top, when buying packs MAKE sure your good enough at the game to at least clear (or fr/full recall and pm/pure memory) the packs i wouldnt recommend to buy for beginners are “main story” packs, “esoteric order”, lanota collab pack, CHUNITHM collab pack (Trust me, i DO not recommend this for beginners) , and ongeki pack. •if your on intermediate stage, you can buy songs in memory archive. Packs id recommend for intermediate players would be maimai pack, world extend (since its limited, but quite expensive which cost 700 memories, so wouldnt recommend somehow) and binary enfold. It can go really far so if you see a line thats really far from the note just click them at the same time. •there will be arcs that are cut into pieces, just hold them to still have your combo intact. •btw i think you’ve experienced the note speed change in pjsekai too right? Well you have to prepared because from what i know theres a decent amount of songs that has note speed changes…make sure to practice songs with note speed changes!! (Very vital!) •PLEASE do this tip!! Watch some arcaea videos to know how harder note patterns work, it will become necessary overtime. As a 10.90 PTT (Just give me 11 pls and thank you xD) it's better to relax in the beginning and get used to different patterns. Later down the line stamina will become an issue together with the increasing song speed. Chart views are a potent tool to learn the chart and increase the score (around 150k score increase just after watching one for the old boss song)
Amd if you think that you are really newb here i recommend tou not to play any song that charted after version 3.0.0 yet especially after 4.0.0 i think these charter take some kind adrenaline before charting

Arcaea is quite unique for the mobile rhythm games. Needs to retrain with lots of practice due to play types.

Have your speed at at least 2.0. With faster songs you may want it faster so you don't see a million notes at once
I am playing for an year now, at 9.5, I've started struggling hard, like unable to full clear some 8ftr and 8+ftr and 8+present, forget the 9songs, I did increase my speed to 3 after reaching 9.4 but it feels like I've gotten hardstuck, unable to identify patterns or even I do, not able to hit it fast enough
Ohh and I can't hit pure memory in any difficulty, always far one note atleast
Hi there. I’m a 12.22 PTT and just hope you don’t compare yourself to other by PTT or score cause it just not always the same situation for each person(I once saw a person clear the hardest song at 11.6-11.7 while some 11.9-12 struggled a lot)

So here something else that you might find around Arcaea, If you have made an account:
- Just remind you here that you should log in every 1st January. You will receive 100 Memories for free. (and must play at least once during that year)
(Edit 2) - *Fragments is NOT TRANSFERABLE.* Even when you have an account, only Memories will transfer to your new device. Make sure to spend your Fragments before transfer your account or Delete Game Data.
- I'm just suggesting _*1_ that to grouping the chart based on the game version (Tap 'None' repeatedly to change it to 'Version'). The chart design has been more complicated in each version and might be a bit tricky to pick it up. Just slowly make your way from 1.0 to 4.0.
- If you want to try something crazy, play during April 1st. April Fool chart will be waiting for you.
- If you feel 'Recollection Rate' Gauge (the vertical bar on the left side) is too lenient, try to switch Partner to change gauge. (Unfortunately for F2P, only two Partners. To get more Partner you have to buy a pack (and some of them require grinding more in World Mode), a song related to that partner or buy Physical Album)
- If you liked/love some song, slide that song to the right to tick 'star' check, and it will be added into Favorites section.
- Songs in 'World Extend' have a limited time to freely unlock it (Available at 'Event'), If you were missed during that time the only way to unlock it is to buy 'World Extend' pack.
- Once you understood how the Arcaea pattern play, make your way until you reach Potential 9.0. 'Lost Chapter' - Beyond is waiting for you.

- Once you have a decent amount of free song unlocked. If you want to test your skill that you can make it through, 'Course Mode' is waiting for you. You will be play four songs in a row, no pause, 60 seconds break between song and Hard Gauge that carry between song.
- And just remind one more thing that you can not place multiple tap on the same arc or use the same tap on the different arc color, useless it was overlapping each other.
Btw 20:22, the highest play grade is EX+ (getting score 9.9M and above).
Bonus Stuff: You can add 'Hikari' and 'Tairitsu' to your friends list by add their Friend ID: 000000001 (Hikari) and 000000002 (Tairitsu)

That is not something even myself would like to do in daily routine play. I mean, I did group chart sometime when I was trying to look for song that I haven't achieved EX yet. But when I consider chart design over each version of the game. That is quite reasonable as chart design back in the day was simple, Linear Arc, not very complicated note pattern looking, etc. To these days an 'Thunderbolt'/'Sawtooth' Arc, Wide Arc rotation, unusual note position after an Arc, etc. Even myself, struggle a bit to play modern Future 9/9+.)_
Your tips are quite good tbh. But the grouping is a personal thing so let them choose what they want(I go for Difficulty order and no grouping)

Some things to note:
I cannot stress enough how important it is to get a good offset (should be obvious but it sounded off on the video to me by quite a lot unless it's the recording software)
You can change the notespeed in the settings (if you haven't done that already)
You hit the notes when they are above the line in Arcaea, not on the line
If you ever purchase memories your first packs should be (in any order) Adverse Prelude, Eternal Core, Luminous Sky and Vicious Labyrinth
Avoid Black Fate and Final Verdict until you've done the packs mentioned above.
Those 6 packs are main story packs and you should generally go for main story before doing other packs, even if you have to do lower difficulties for them (especially Black Fate and Final Verdict)
After that if you want more charts you can go for other packs
Imma wait here for your reaction to some late game stuff and yeah the main story and side story are really really good (if you have at least 50-100$ spare since most song here are properly requested and licensed)
50 dollars should be enough to buy all story packs but it's worth going for if you plan to keep the game for longer also Black Fate reee

Anyway 11.26 ptt user here, i dont really know if you want tips but the songs here are really fun and nice to listen so here!
•for arcs just follow the way it moves, it might take some time but once your used to it its really easy (as expected)
•dont immediately progress to harder stages! It will be confusing, start off from present difficulty and then when you feel like you’ve gotten enough experience to progress practice some ftr 7 or 8 charts, then move on to the others
•it will take some time to get good at the game, so i recommend to play the game every now and then (mostly everyday, but of course if you cant its fine) and play for abt 30min-1hr or higher, it may look little but it does alot over time
•if you wanna get good at the game (or really good) this tip is optional but you would need to buy “song packs”. Song packs are the ones that would usually include 5-12(?) songs in them or higher. Sometimes they’d come in separate packs which would cost 300 memories (applies to collab packs aswell). If you plan to buy one someday (again optional) buy ambivalent vision pack, absolute reason, ephermal page, groove coaster pack, divided heart pack, sunset raidance , or dynamix pack (i really recommend the dynamix pack, it has 7-10 difficulty songs which is also a great beginner pack starter). I feel like theres more so i’ll come back later
•refer to the tip on top, when buying packs MAKE sure your good enough at the game to at least clear (or fr/full recall and pm/pure memory) the packs i wouldnt recommend to buy for beginners are “main story” packs, “esoteric order”, lanota collab pack, CHUNITHM collab pack (Trust me, i DO not recommend this for beginners) , and ongeki pack.
•if your on intermediate stage, you can buy songs in memory archive. Packs id recommend for intermediate players would be maimai pack, world extend (since its limited, but quite expensive which cost 700 memories, so wouldnt recommend somehow) and binary enfold. Those are the only ones i got ahaha
•if you plan to buy songs in the memory archive section here are my recommendations and picks: (i’ll list by bullet)

To summarize, anything below 9+ or higher is a great starter song for beginner players to practice, 9+ or higher is a way for average / intermediate players to practice.
•some songs will have confusing notes such as four holds, the spin sky notes, notes or sky notes out of play boundaries etc. i recommend you watch song gameplay with those kinds of confusing notes as a way to practice and prepare in advance in case you ever encounter one
•a few more tips, i saw you struggled with the sky note + note combination kind of pattern, you have to click both of them. It can go really far so if you see a line thats really far from the note just click them at the same time.
•there will be arcs that are cut into pieces, just hold them to still have your combo intact.
•btw i think you’ve experienced the note speed change in pjsekai too right? Well you have to prepared because from what i know theres a decent amount of songs that has note speed changes…make sure to practice songs with note speed changes!! (Very vital!)
•PLEASE do this tip!! Watch some arcaea videos to know how harder note patterns work, it will become necessary overtime. It may not be alot but you will be prepared somehow!
•THERES WAY TOO MUCH TIPS HERE!! But the more the merrier i suppose ahaha, sometimes there will be certain songs (beyonds mostly have this type of pattern) where theres a note in a arc. Just act like it isnt there as technically if you still act it as a arc it will still be pressed (note in arc)
•lastly, if you feel like your having so much fun its time to make a arcaea account! There will be more varied songs when you do so and you’ll have way more fun!!

The Switch version is a lot of fun too if you want to play with a controller
I found it more user friendly for beginners because it had most of the packs unlocked + most stories
(the game has hitsounds they just default to off if you're on android because offset is usually really bad)

@@HushR0nnithere should be free memories to buy 1 song every new year (2 if you decide to save them until anniversary sale), and from the 5th anniversary 2 years ago, they might be giving out a pack ticket every 5 years. you can still get packs as an f2p in arcaea
As a 10.90 PTT (Just give me 11 pls and thank you xD) it's better to relax in the beginning and get used to different patterns. Later down the line stamina will become an issue together with the increasing song speed. Chart views are a potent tool to learn the chart and increase the score (around 150k score increase just after watching one for the old boss song)
