You know the thing that hit me the most emotionally, When she said “I love you”, You could see the shock and happiness in Lucifer’s face. It sucks because he’s been chasing her (since season 1) 😂 And now that she realized and admitted how she felt about him... he had to leave. 🤧
Her little laugh when she’s trying not to start crying kills me. It’s the moment she realized she wasted what time they could’ve had to be together because she let her fear control her. Lauren’s acting was so on point this whole season. 😭😭
Her acting was amazing in this scene. You could see her heart in her eyes and the way she tilted her head like an innocent finding the greatest love of her life. This scene just kills me. Watched it 10 times and the tears keep coming. God sent him to hell and for eons Lucifer saw it as punishment for his rebellion. It took love and sacrifice for him to return to Hell knowing he would never see her again. I am wondering at how amendadeil, maze and Linda will react to this depth of courage. This story is about Lucifer's redemption.

He knew that his rebellious son was the only one in heaven that could have governed over the rebellious souls because it took him forever but he finally found his real purpose & realised his real role in the scheme of things. Love that it took his love for Chloe to find his way back. Also love the fact that in this moment she finally saw that his love for her transformed him from what he thought was a monster to being the most sacrificing angel of them all complete with white wings. He gave it all for love. Think about that slowly for a second. Lucifer returned to hell because of love (for Chloe). Personally think God knew all along that Lucifer was the only one with the strength. Amenadiel was the dutiful & serving son & the others all had agendas but Lucifer had the strength to follow his own heart ❤

I guess it takes someone so strong to do what he does. To be the Good Version of Bad guy. Coz they can take it. Strong enough to withstand punishment coz he started it all. With freedom of choice and thus ensuring the rise of humanity than to just be a mindless Robot. In a way he gave a choice and we made it despite of how dire the circumstances were!. But we need to blame so there he is 'The Devil Made me Do it'.

I like how they did it with the view leaving Chloe down and next showing him up, sitting on his elevated throne. It's kind of symbolize how far from each other they are now.

I kept saying this for like 2 years now. It's how it should have finished, period. He's going down in the hell again, but not like a fallen angel, but like a protector. AND, he do this in his HUMAN form, signal that his hate for the human specie is now completely gone. Till the 4th season is a solid 8,5/10, with the other 2 is almost a 7.

Mannnnn, I was fine holding it in until the Angel wings came back and then the waterworks came back. We know the way the Angel's see themselves is based on their self image so we see Lucifer go full Devil while admonishing the Demons and ordering them to obey, stop and go back to hell but that must've meant he was feeling really guilty and the hate for himself crept back in but simply seeing the two Angel wings show us that he has accepted his charge, opened up about how he really feels and in turn feels worthy enough of her love. That being said BLOODY HELL I CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 5 (I also just read if everything lines up and they can make a deal with Tom Ellis we might even get a Season 6!!!!!) I just really want them to be happy and it's really looking like they'll only be happy together :/
It seems complicated to me since Lucifer, after having created the breach in the world where his mother went, threw the blade of Azrael at him and returned his pendant to Amenadiel. (Which is in the morgue, attached to Caleb). And so for Lucifer's mother to return to Earth, Lucifer would have to have the blade, but he can't get it since it is with his mother. Do you understand what I'm saying?

It's a literal show about God and Lucifer and supernatural powers with little to no laws except the ones the show-writers create. Nothing would be easier then write a way for his mother to return. For one, It could be a sort of gift from his father to his son, and God can always be written as 'all-encompassing, able to do anything'. The show creators have the most literal form of deus ex machina on their side to exploit, the character of god.
There is 1 reason I believe there will be more....and yes the reason might sound dumb. But it comes down to one thing that stuck out to me....his wings. Well, the directors and writers always wanted to continue the show, everyone did, it was just about whether or not Netflix would renew the show for another season. Netflix picked the show up for season 4 after Fox cancelled it. So many fans wanted another season so netflix thought they could earn money from it but season 4 was just a test, they wanted to see how much they'd earn from it and based on how well it did they'd continue making more seasons. It seems like they cared enough about the show to want it to have a well finished ending that actually feels like an ending and not just a season finale so they've now picked the show up for season 5, however this will be the last season of the show. I'm guessing they didn't earn enough to want to risk seeing how it did with yet another season and therefor they just gave them one season to wrap everything up neatly without taking many risks...
Remember when uriel said "or I'll take back what dad gave you" he's saying that god gave chloe to him or a reason that god gave chloe to lucifer as a gift. Not a distraction.
This scene shows one thing above. Doing the right thing. Taking your responsibility. It's his job. He may love Chloe but Lucifer understands his job of guardian of hell to protect the mortals.
This scene is the first time in a very long time and by long time I mean in my lifetime where it completely SHATTERED ME! I walked out of my room after watching and had to cry it out again but with company. And currently a day after finishing season 5A, I'm just completely an emotional wreck. I have all kinds of favorite shows but this one emotionally dug deep into me, soul deep. And the song just was overwhelming and perfect.
I don't know who chose the music for this show but each piece captures the mood of each scene perfectly. The choice of Claire Wyndham "My Love Will Never Die" sums this scene up so well. It has biblical overtones "sea may rise, sky may fall" that reflect the depth of their love for each other and hints that they will be partners forever.
Just this scene is enough and it defines the true eternal level love of Lucifer and Chloe❤️💞💞.I would rate this is one of the all time best scenes in Tv Series.
Chloe screwed Lucifer over so bad. He wouldn't have had to return to hell if she hadn't betrayed him by helping Father Kinley. All of his torment through season 4 is entirely Chloe's fault.
Not to mention, he gaslighted, ghosted and turned Chloe down for most likely every time he made a breakthrough. And because Chloe's a normal person, so there're no big deal, no big result to that. Cause all the things he did just only made her broke apart. :)))) And when she was so lost and conflict, she had no one to share her feelings with. She isn't a therapist like Linda. She's obviously a normal human with strong protective instinct. She trusted a "FATHER" in the church. Which is quite understandable. She did tried to send Lucifer back to hell, but she stopped - not because Lucifer realize and stop her, she stopped way before that. She stopped because She realized the angel in Lucifer. What did Lucifer do at the time then? He immediately went to Eve. (he did it first with Candy, some others woman/man as well,.... and then Eve)... Chloe broke inside but still chose to fix thing between them. :)))) AND YOU BLAME HER? Why don't you blame 13 billion years-old immature devil. If he acted differently, it would never have to be this way. If he was supportive and patient enough, it would never have to be this way. If he didn't go for Eve, it would never have to be this way... Why people are very defensive over male-ish stuff? Chloe's the one who has been broken, and hurt over and over again by Lucifer's action and things related to Lucifer... :))))

Eve needs to focus on herself in Season 5. Among established cast members I'd like to see Maze with Dan or Ella. Although once Eve finds herself I'd ship her with Dan a little.

This scene is the first time in a very long time and by long time I mean in my lifetime where it completely SHATTERED ME! I walked out of my room after watching and had to cry it out again but with company. And currently a day after finishing season 5A, I'm just completely an emotional wreck. I have all kinds of favorite shows but this one emotionally dug deep into me, soul deep. And the song just was overwhelming and perfect.
I don't know who chose the music for this show but each piece captures the mood of each scene perfectly. The choice of Claire Wyndham "My Love Will Never Die" sums this scene up so well. It has biblical overtones "sea may rise, sky may fall" that reflect the depth of their love for each other and hints that they will be partners forever.

Chloe screwed Lucifer over so bad. He wouldn't have had to return to hell if she hadn't betrayed him by helping Father Kinley. All of his torment through season 4 is entirely Chloe's fault.
Not to mention, he gaslighted, ghosted and turned Chloe down for most likely every time he made a breakthrough. And because Chloe's a normal person, so there're no big deal, no big result to that. Cause all the things he did just only made her broke apart. :))))
And when she was so lost and conflict, she had no one to share her feelings with. She isn't a therapist like Linda. She's obviously a normal human with strong protective instinct. She trusted a "FATHER" in the church. Which is quite understandable. She did tried to send Lucifer back to hell, but she stopped - not because Lucifer realize and stop her, she stopped way before that. She stopped because She realized the angel in Lucifer.
What did Lucifer do at the time then? He immediately went to Eve. (he did it first with Candy, some others woman/man as well,.... and then Eve)... Chloe broke inside but still chose to fix thing between them. :))))
