You're one of the few guitarists who realizes that there are many ways to play something and i love that you accept that. And you have a great voice :)
Can't stop listening to the tune! And watching this, polishing my version! It's a fantastic tune and a fantastic tutorial. Thanks again Peter. In a bit. Marc
I have been a viewer of your video for quite sometime georgiarose. I wanted to say thank you for essentially being my guitar teacher over the past year, thanks to you I have learned alot of songs from my favorite band and am also developing as a player. Hope to see "dying of the light" and "god help us all" tutorial and covers soon. Cheers my good friend!
Hi Tuition is fantastic, you have helped me so much with Lessons and I agree the Epiphones are great,I went to Wembley a couple of days ago and met Noel before the concert what a geezer, again thanks for all the videos and tuition
Spot on Peter! This is the best song in alot of years it's f@"kin AWESOME, and your right! That c chord progression is the best part in the song, it just lifts the song to another level! "Scouse me if I spoke too soon, my eyes have always" - Brilliant! In a bit. Marc
@PageGallagher15 Dunno. I plugged it into a 'chord namer' thingy and it told me it was an A7sus4. I think it would be an Asus4 if the top E was left open.
Tip top once again! I herd this a few weeks ago and at first listern I thought it was just alright. After buying the album and haveing a few more listerns I just fell in love with this song. So where do I go to learn how to play it. This fella of course!! Keep it up mate!
@georgiarose16 Noel performed "If I Had A Gun" and "AKA What A Life" on a acoustic live set for the german radio or TV "einslive" , a chance to be teached by the master itself. The link can be found on the NoelGallaghersHFB facebook page, i can't paste it here, don't know why
Mate thanks. Loved how you took your time and went through the whole song slowly for some of us beginners. I'm with everyone else, strumming pattern please!!
It doesn't really matter which C chord you use however, if you want to play it like Noel you should use a full C major with a G bass note. If you watch the live performance of this son on David Letterman in 2011 you can see Noel use this chord very clearly. Thanks for the tutorial mate!
Hey man. Don't know if you are still looking at comments, but thanks for making all these tutorials :) You are great, and i might add that you have an absolutely amazing singing voice! :)
who hates tutorials without a rough idea of the strumming? c'mon, just a tinsy clue to get me on my way!! not asking for the whole, song just a bit. and yes, i have listened over and over! please help. cheers. ps, it another great tutorial from pete :)
try strumming D,D,DUUDDUDU there's some parts where you need to split strumming between chords. eg, g, D,D, DU Asus UDDUDU not saying its perfect but seems to work
@Fitzroyboy1 I know it sounds hard if you're a beginner (I was one only some months ago) but you really just need to listen and try it yourselve until it sounds right. It's not that hard, believe me!
This was the first song I could play all the way through on guitar..a proud moment of mine, thanks Pete!!!!
hows ur guitar now 8 years later 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Pete, you are awesome! If I’m trying to work out an Oasis song on guitar you are the man I go to first. Good on you 🙌🏻
@themarcsman007 yeah Marc - depends if you play or mute the bottom E. I think in this case you would not play the bottom E. So x02233.
Thanks mate really helpful 👍
Thank you so much for this vid, it helps a lot !

The strumming pattern Down, down, down, down up *Chord change* down, down, down up *Chord change* and so on sounds good.

Thanks for this, but could you do a tutorial for angie by the stones...please
excellent video, but what about strumming pattern?
you can just use down-down-down-down-up for a basic strumming pattern, but as you play you'll probably add/drop little bits here and there.
I get, A7sus4/E on my chord finder too!
Thanks man
@Fitzroyboy1 I know it sounds hard if you're a beginner (I was one only some months ago) but you really just need to listen and try it yourselve until it sounds right. It's not that hard, believe me!
