I'd think if you were really trying to show the true hood of Memphis than you should have took the scenic tour of New Chicago,Binghamton,Frayser, p###y valley, Orange Mound and New Willow that would've definitely give off the Worst most dangerous Parts of Memphis Vibe, A little street smarts and Memphis isn't so dangerous as long as your a valid canceal carry permit holder🤔😁 Great video but sad to say this is my hometown
Aint trying to brag bout which hood the worst.....but when you said a true hood I had to say hold up....statistic show where he just drive thru is the most dangerous part of memphis and tn as a whole.....4th and EH Crump is where a lot of the real old school g's where from that area consisted of Fowler Homes..Gaston.4W...Cleaborn Homes(3rd) Lemoyne Gardens (LMG) Foote Homes (4V)..Lamar Terrece.. Tex Crt Kan Crt...RivaCide, Mclemore, Sth Parkway, TriggnLauderdale...was a real zone....them facts
Yea, Frayser is the worst. Me and my family live there. So many shootings. Two of my friends have died from shootings. But they have an amazing elementary school here called Libertas. My younger siblings go there.
Great upload as always Chris!! But after watching this.. I have NO IDEA why people like to compare Louisville to Memphis!?? Besides population wise (city and metro) L’ville is nothing like Memphis”?” Memphis has MUCH MORE crime than L’ville and L’ville isn’t near as “run down” as Memphis (I think) 🤷🏼♂️
Which area of Memphis is worse between Whitehaven or Hickory Hill? Between these two I like Whitehaven better because there are a lot of well established middle income neighborhoods.
South Memphis along with all other sides consist of different neighborhoods and the worst part is not in South Memphis smh.... Show the upscale black communities instead. This whole video showed only 1 part of south memphis which is not bad as it looks to a stranger.
as of today its ranked number 1 for highest homicides and gangs activity, I live on the worst street in Memphis every night a shooting I mean every night, children have been shot and killed, women have been shot and killed and not long ago a man was shot and killed at my back yard he laid upon my fence and ground, cops everywhere, I got up and went and slept on my couch that night, after tonight I will be in Florida getting out of Memphis..by the way I live in the mitchell hieghts/ known as Binghampton off National and Tutwiler talk about slum city
Too bad it had to come to that. Memphis used to be my home away from home. I use to enjoy going to Mud Island in the downtown part of the city and hanging out at the Ramada Inn on Brooks Avenue. What do John and Thelma and Lavonne have to say about it? How about La June wants to say about this? And what would Captain Nail want to tell us about it? John and Thelma Russell and Lavonne and La June were good friends of mine in the town.
My father grew in south memphis off South Parkway and Bellevue. He said it was a decent neighborhood during the 70s up to the mid to late 80s when crack hit the scene, hasn't been the same since
Bro I’m a native Memphian you only Got a 4% taste of the worst hoods of Memphis

Just looked at some of those places on street view. I'll try to remember to check those out if/when I go back
Also how bad is Whitehaven and Hickory Hill? I don't think Whitehaven is as bad as many people make it out to be.

You should've kept straight when you were on Third St and bussed a left on South Parkway and went down Lauderdale
You were just circling Downtown
I was thinking the same thing. He made all the wrong turns!!!

At least we tear down our condemned houses unlike Detroit and Baltimore! Memphis looks damn nice compared to those cities!

Well, Whitehaven has Elvis.
I work in Whitehaven. Highest aggravated assaults in the city and it is between 1 and 2 each day for homicides.
You weren’t even in the worst areas. Should’ve went to Fraysure, orange mound, riverside, or whitehaven to name a few.

Whoa. That's awful! Glad that you were able to find somewhere else to live.

Memphis is so bad even the trees wanna leave.
Your music is scary. It gives the atmosphere like a crime is about to be committed.
I think that is the whole point.
@@dvferyance Exactly.
Southern hoods almost always look like sprawling hick towns.
Farrell Calhoun, worked there for 35 years. Definitely a plus side of Memphis.
Run the red light. Nobody's going to see it.
I am from m town
Memphis worst than st Louis but ion kno bout bailtmore and Detroit
I lived in south Memphis
What was it like living there?
My father grew in south memphis off South Parkway and Bellevue. He said it was a decent neighborhood during the 70s up to the mid to late 80s when crack hit the scene, hasn't been the same since
I was expecting rich piana to come out 😄😄😄😄😄

Funky town 😅
All of Memphis is gone!
There seems to be no re-investment back into the local economy Mike 01
I think the government through years of doing nothing has let the city to get beyond repair.
Yea it petty much the Detroit of the south
Damn so ghetto
Yeah it is lolol
