Thank you for putting this video together. I really appreciate it. You make it look so easy, but it is HARD! my Shih Tzu will be 15 in November. She is deaf and very anxious. We have taken her to five groomers in the last year and she has bitten every one of them. Our vet gave us medication to sedate her while she’s being groomed. The last Groomer was afraid to muzzle her because of her age and the sedation. Needless to say, we are never invited back, and I honestly don’t blame any of these groomers. I have to learn to groom her myself. I will watch your videos again and again until I get this right. Thank you again.
You could try the bubble cone or Elizabeth collar to clip the body and legs. Then take your time trimming the head. At some point your dog may just have learned to react in that way to stop the groomer doing what they are doing. Starts with a small warning or trigger then progressively gets a harder and harder bite. Comfort is better than looking neat in this case. She will be better you doing it. Will take you time and patience but as long as she is comfortable that’s the main thing. The tablets helping her to relax. Also sometimes restrains can be an issue so if you have some one trust worthy to help you hold her. Each dog has there own ways. They can be hard to read especially when they are anxious. Fear aggression. I feel your pain, but time and patience you will get there. I hope the videos help you. If I can help more let me know x
