I am from India I follow lot of travellers,,,your blog are also good, but make sure u do provide every detail in how you travel ,what public transport you took, how much does it cost,,each and every small details ,,etc,,do not miss that please,,
No need to buy an oyster card if you have a contactless credit/debit card, it works in the same way and will cap the cost of your journeys to the price of a daily travelcard. London doesn't have to be expensive, there are plenty of good cheap places to eat, you just need to know where to look. Good fish and chips is hard to find in London, the best places are the Golden Chippy in Greenwich or Ollies in Herne Hill. Also, you can get decent quality cheaper accommodation if you stay outside of zone 1. You can get an entire room for yourself for the price you paid for a hostel bed, travel into the centre is quick and easy.
Thank you
I am going to London in November. Can you recommend neighborhoods to stay cheap?
@@yaharalaviajera avoid staying in the centre (Zone 1 or 2) as you will being paying a premium. Zone 3 or even 4 have good enough transport links to get you into the centre quickly. Check Earlsfield, Tooting, Streatham, Crystal Palace, Peckham and Lewisham for cheap AirBnB.
That budget is feasible if you stay in a hostel, eat in the markets or buy sandwiches from grocery stores and yes use the oyster card. There are a lot of cheap restaurants in the streets of London if you know where to go. The museums are free.
No one in the uk really tips for cafes like that, I'm sure it's appreciated when you do but it's definitely not expected. It's more of a thing when you go out for dinner, like to an actual restaurant, even then, service charge is often included in the bill, so tipping is really for exceptional service
YES !👍💜🥁🐉🎵🎤🎶🎃🥧🍪🍭🍬🍫☕🍵💕💞Please stay safe !
It's a thing I hate about London. Everywhere likes to give you a huge service charge. Rarely happens outside of London.
Treat it like a tip. If you would tip them, pay it (they may get less than I would have without it)). If you don't feel they deserve a tip, ask not to pay it. It's not mandatory and it's essentially trying to force a tip out of people.
In the UK a tip is extra and shouldn't be expected like it is in the US. So if you weren't happy with the service, don't tip.
This is a place I missed visiting 2 years ago on a very cramped UK visit of 2 weeks: from London to St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Canterbury, Cambridge, Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Rye, Hastings and Battle.
So nice to see St James park...when I was in London for medical treatment, every day after my radiation we'd buy 4 loaves of bread and head to St James to feed our furry ad feathered friends...after a fer weeks they'd recognize us and start to follow us to the bench we sat on. Love London.
Wow! Amazing video! Blessings to you and Carol!
Very nice impressions of London 😊
Looks also good coz you got a smooth hand on editing (no nervous cuts, nice beats)
Cool. Nice to have a video showing the reality of travelling on a budget in a city like London. Hard.
Yeah sure is!
I think london has great culture, history and architecture as well!
It sure does :)
I'm not going to lie but out of all the places you have been why London? way to expensive way to over populates and polluted and at night great to get robbed I'd prefer Somalia and I live in the UK 😂😂
London beautiful landscape hope you guys enjoyed the trip
Carol did not look to impressed, i feel you i am from England living in California Something about the Sun makes you smile a little more love the content.
Glad you both made it to London England. I only came across your channel the other day and I'm glad I did. Very interesting! Your both awesome keep up the good work. I have British background, but live in Canada. Glad you enjoyed the sites and the food. Fish and chips is a must. Cheers.
I love those sunglasses Carol. You look like a Hollywood actress. Love you guys!
I just wanna say that both of you are very good looking people inside and outside and thanks for sharing. God Bless the both of you!
great vlog guys....thank you for giving a very nice perspective of london.
Big Ben - or the building which houses the clock - is nearly 200 years old so was covered in scaffold while necessary repairs were carried out.
I’d like to visit England. Two nights in London and the rest of the week on other popular places... Very nice video!
I've been watching all your videos for the last few months as I plan to travel to Brazil. Never knew you guys came to London and It's weird seeing you in my neighborhood, Kings Cross.
Great video, thanks for your enthusiam! If you can up ypur budget a bit you can get a proper, if basic, hotel for less than double that hostel... juat checked prices and as I type, Travelodge London Tower Bridge is £54 for a double room tomorrow night, and Liverpool street is £51.
You two are great!... Thanks for the vlog.
Hi. I am currently following your Philippines lockdown. I live in the Chelsea area in London. Married to a filipena. Go to Davao city and Cebu Subic bay every year. Nice to catch this video when you visited London.lots of free museums in London.
I am glad you guys are gaining more subscribers as i have noticed. Enjoy your quaratine stay in the Philippines..
London to the title of “most fun” city in a poll of travellers. The German capital was among cities ranked according to categories such as “bars”, “clubs”, “shopping”, “adult entertainment” and “activities”. Public transport is generally better coordinated in Berlin, e.g. with the same tariff for all buses, subways and trains within Berlin.
I will be touring London & UK in a few days, so your video was helpful to me.
Carol is shy and sweet.
I hope you enjoy your stay in London, England!
Sure did!
nice to watch being lockdowned in london my home town!
Great vlog, those bikes you can use with your oyster card too, I bet you both slept well all that walking, good old English weather always raining :)
Wow London, England. Greeted by fish and chips yum awesome. Thanks for a nice scenic ride in the underground. Kings cross with double deck bus.. time to look for the hostile. Awesome tour of London through your eyes...thank you.
It is a great place to visit for sure :D
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
Good job on the orange juice Carol. 15:42
Amazing! Thanks for the video!
I love London, a lot of history
its so amazing your accent sounds english but has a bit of american, irish and other cultures!
Hello Cris. & Carol
I’ve been working in London for 32 yrs but last year Dec 2019 before COVID 19, I decided to go back for good in my own country Philippine’s.
Oyster travel card is cheaper to travel around London after 4 swipe it’s already free so you save money you can go by underground and buses.
Aw you’re from Manchester it’s 4 hrs by train. I used to support Manchester United lol.
Helpful! Thank you. Helen.K
Having lived and worked in London although I am from the Midlands region of the UK (Nottingham - city of Robin Hood), I can tell you how expensive it is. East London is quite cheap compared to rest of London. Oh yes bring your umbrella - always lol
You have also walked past one of the places I used to work along Green Park close to Buckingham Palace.
Like you, I have travelled quite a bit and seen amazing countries and cities but no matter what London is the best city even though I'm being a bit biased.
The hostels in London are awful but you should have find a guest house which you will get at decent price and it is comfortable and private. Some of the hostels around Kings Cross isn't good at all - it is quite a seedy area.
And I think you got ripped off with the Fish and Chips as well - you can easy get great Fish and Chips around London at a cheaper price than what you paid
Just saw your London video. When we were there July 2018 Big Ben was all covered up due to renovations. So like Carol I never got to see it 😞
thanks for the video and information
I've been to this hostel this year, I was shocked by the state of this place...it didn't change a bit...I got chills on my spine when I saw this place from hell again. Thanks god it was for just one night. It would be better sleeping outside.
Still to this day the worst! Horrendous place 🤢
I looked up some reviews and it was dreadful. Lots of better hostels in London. Definitely look at price + ratings.
Thank you for doing this..
Thanks for watching :)
Nice to see a different type of background for a change (:
Finally right?! although it is about to be more beaches in southern portugal lol but still very different to anything in southeast asia either way :D
so nice!!! how much did it cost for the hostel in london?
Personally i would only leave a tip in an high end restaurant rather than a cafe and tipping in pubs is not customary in London. There is also a 24 hour price cap on your 'pay as you go' oyster card, meaning from 4.30 am until 4.30 am next day you will only be charged £7.00 in zones 1-2 (goes up a little more in 3-6 zones) no matter how many journeys you make on the underground buses and DLR, hope this helps.
Yeha big help mate! Had no idea, are you from there?
@@JumpingPlaces Yes born and bred, spent a few years in Thailand in the mid-nineties but back in London now.
Nice! What made you ditch the beaches of thailand?
@@JumpingPlacesWell i had money and went on the tear which lasted 3-4 years partying mad in the company that i loved and now miss but i think travelling and life has all those things that you have to do because you have to it , take care guys bye.
What services do you use, that you can put all these different kind of music on your videos? thank you for your advice
good info what camera are you using
Coming from England MATE, I'd have thought you would have know about London, It's the same as most other capital cities, whereas it's geared up for the tourist industry. For example, a can of coke will cost anything from 80 pence to £2 in the west end, but can be bought for a lot less a bit further out. It's the same in all our cities even Manchester.
There are many cheaper parts of London just outside the tourist sectors.
Yeah same with any city mate. I lived in Amsterdam and saw tourists paying £2 for a can of coke, and £3 or £4 for a slice of pizza, microwaved lol, often from the day before. Go 15 minutes on a tram and you get a whole pizza for the price of the slice, and the can is 50p in a supermarket
Thank you for this
Mew eu adoro o Vlog de vcs !!
Sou brasileiro morando em Londres e casado com um irlandês hahahahha me identifico muito com o estilo de vida e lugares onde vocês visitam . Sucesso
Man i really liked you guys Vlog!!!
I’m Brazilian living in London and I married with a Irish man lol i do appreciate and can see us in your life style and places that you’ve been. Success
Vlw!
Thanks!
After over 50 visits to the UK, I believe Britain offers such poor value for your money. The accommodation even at 5 star hotels is most often crummy, sagging beds, threadbare carpets and towels and stained linen!
Thank you for this video! I'm going to London in June and this was very helpful. Btw, what are you using to film - just your phone?
we always use a gopro mainly and sometimes our phone for some close up shots
You don't need to tip in London. Hostels in London start from £8. London buses cost £1.50 for 90 minutes.
60 minutes
Grew up in London, now living in Australia
Aw I just seen its an old video from the summer
Nice video, plan to go to London in April. But didn't get what the museum is called, what is the name of this museum? Is it the British Museum?
Wht the name of thet restorant on the kingscross?
you didnt show HMS Belfast which is on the thames near London bridge.
you should register your oyster on tfl.gov.uk and the oyster lasts for life so never throw it away the amount of money you leave on it will always stay there. But definitely register it in case you lose it you can block it, report it lost etc just like a bank card ;)
Thanks for the info!
When you walked from Trafalger Sq to Big Ben, you walked past the Prime Ministers road, 10 Downing Street.
Really lol, had no idea!
Been there September 2018. Walked the same street. Loved London.👍
I have done same thing but with budget of £60
The building at the start of the video was the one the used in the Oasis video for Supersonic
wow..sana all makapunta jan..
Hi Guys, great videos, the guys in Saudi told me about your videos, had to check them out, really enjoying them, looks like you’re having a blast! I was in London yesterday at terminal 2, small world! Enjoy exploring guys! Gary 👍
Hey mate, didn't expect you to be commenting here haha. Had no idea anyone in Saudi even knew I had a channel, nuts lol. Bruce King commented a few days ago so that also surprised me. Glad you enjoyed them anyway, hope everything is going good with you :D
All good dude, busy, you know the script haha. Keep having a blast! 👍
Cheers! You too :)
And the square is near by the Buckingham palace
How often has Carol cried to go back to Brazil? Curious
You guys have to come over to Ireland
Ireland's even more expensive than London .....
Carol looks so sad at the beginning of the video! 😢
Hey do you know how is the breakfast place called? The one where you had falafel 🥙 Looks very nice! Thanks:)
I noticed yoiu were in Neals Yard.
What is the name of the breakfast place?
I love london🥰🥰🥰
You are a very cool guy. I have enjoyed your good nature.
Nice video.
What time of year were you in England?
I was trying to work out where your from and thought I could hear and Manc accent..
Welcome to London don't forget to have a bite of fish and chips
best in London highgate hills
What is the name of the first breakfast place?
British TV! TV Europe!
my gosh. 100 usd for 1 day, really high price. Chris, you really got an interesting mix of blood 😊👍❤
Haha yeah, would be hard to do it cheaper than that too i think!
carols face at 0:55
can we hop on to buses as well, with that oyster card? or is there any other card with which we can take any public transport? P.S: Great Video
yep, but I recommend using a debit card instead because it's cheaper. Oyster cards cost £5 for the card alone but it'll charge you the same if you use a debit card
Omg you made it over
Hey, can someone tell me the names of the restaurants? O.o
Nice vid guys, although i think you were both a little tired by the end…lol.
That’s almost a hundred dol. converting to Philippines peso that will last you 3 days or even 4 days worth of foods but of course it all depends what you eat and where you wanna eat.
Hello! Please ask Carol what's her impression about London? Would she live here?
Hey! I don’t think she would want to live there, too busy!! I think overall we still prefer a more tropical climate with beaches
It's amazing 😉❤️
The guy has a slight north east UK accent coming through, I can hear it.
Great video! Whats the name of the cheap restaurant you went to?? :)
I want to know too please! I’m from Mexico and I will go this year to London.
Can Carol talk about her packing tips?
We have 2 vids on our channel showing what we pack :D
That big old building at Kings Cross is where the spice girls shot there music video Wannabe 🥳 geeky fact 🤓
Nice video!
Cheers!
What do you think London compared to US?
Nice
What brings you to London, England?
Just visiting 😁👍
You founf the most expensive place to buy drinks .
So lovely place
Sure is :D
