I am from India I follow lot of travellers,,,your blog are also good, but make sure u do provide every detail in how you travel ,what public transport you took, how much does it cost,,each and every small details ,,etc,,do not miss that please,,
No need to buy an oyster card if you have a contactless credit/debit card, it works in the same way and will cap the cost of your journeys to the price of a daily travelcard. London doesn't have to be expensive, there are plenty of good cheap places to eat, you just need to know where to look. Good fish and chips is hard to find in London, the best places are the Golden Chippy in Greenwich or Ollies in Herne Hill. Also, you can get decent quality cheaper accommodation if you stay outside of zone 1. You can get an entire room for yourself for the price you paid for a hostel bed, travel into the centre is quick and easy.
@@yaharalaviajera avoid staying in the centre (Zone 1 or 2) as you will being paying a premium. Zone 3 or even 4 have good enough transport links to get you into the centre quickly. Check Earlsfield, Tooting, Streatham, Crystal Palace, Peckham and Lewisham for cheap AirBnB.
That budget is feasible if you stay in a hostel, eat in the markets or buy sandwiches from grocery stores and yes use the oyster card. There are a lot of cheap restaurants in the streets of London if you know where to go. The museums are free.
No one in the uk really tips for cafes like that, I'm sure it's appreciated when you do but it's definitely not expected. It's more of a thing when you go out for dinner, like to an actual restaurant, even then, service charge is often included in the bill, so tipping is really for exceptional service
It's a thing I hate about London. Everywhere likes to give you a huge service charge. Rarely happens outside of London. Treat it like a tip. If you would tip them, pay it (they may get less than I would have without it)). If you don't feel they deserve a tip, ask not to pay it. It's not mandatory and it's essentially trying to force a tip out of people. In the UK a tip is extra and shouldn't be expected like it is in the US. So if you weren't happy with the service, don't tip.
Carol did not look to impressed, i feel you i am from England living in California Something about the Sun makes you smile a little more love the content.
I'm not going to lie but out of all the places you have been why London? way to expensive way to over populates and polluted and at night great to get robbed I'd prefer Somalia and I live in the UK 😂😂
So nice to see St James park...when I was in London for medical treatment, every day after my radiation we'd buy 4 loaves of bread and head to St James to feed our furry ad feathered friends...after a fer weeks they'd recognize us and start to follow us to the bench we sat on. Love London.
This is a place I missed visiting 2 years ago on a very cramped UK visit of 2 weeks: from London to St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Canterbury, Cambridge, Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Rye, Hastings and Battle.
Personally i would only leave a tip in an high end restaurant rather than a cafe and tipping in pubs is not customary in London. There is also a 24 hour price cap on your 'pay as you go' oyster card, meaning from 4.30 am until 4.30 am next day you will only be charged £7.00 in zones 1-2 (goes up a little more in 3-6 zones) no matter how many journeys you make on the underground buses and DLR, hope this helps.
@@JumpingPlacesWell i had money and went on the tear which lasted 3-4 years partying mad in the company that i loved and now miss but i think travelling and life has all those things that you have to do because you have to it , take care guys bye.
Great video, thanks for your enthusiam! If you can up ypur budget a bit you can get a proper, if basic, hotel for less than double that hostel... juat checked prices and as I type, Travelodge London Tower Bridge is £54 for a double room tomorrow night, and Liverpool street is £51.
London to the title of “most fun” city in a poll of travellers. The German capital was among cities ranked according to categories such as “bars”, “clubs”, “shopping”, “adult entertainment” and “activities”. Public transport is generally better coordinated in Berlin, e.g. with the same tariff for all buses, subways and trains within Berlin.
Coming from England MATE, I'd have thought you would have know about London, It's the same as most other capital cities, whereas it's geared up for the tourist industry. For example, a can of coke will cost anything from 80 pence to £2 in the west end, but can be bought for a lot less a bit further out. It's the same in all our cities even Manchester. There are many cheaper parts of London just outside the tourist sectors.
Yeah same with any city mate. I lived in Amsterdam and saw tourists paying £2 for a can of coke, and £3 or £4 for a slice of pizza, microwaved lol, often from the day before. Go 15 minutes on a tram and you get a whole pizza for the price of the slice, and the can is 50p in a supermarket
Having lived and worked in London although I am from the Midlands region of the UK (Nottingham - city of Robin Hood), I can tell you how expensive it is. East London is quite cheap compared to rest of London. Oh yes bring your umbrella - always lol You have also walked past one of the places I used to work along Green Park close to Buckingham Palace. Like you, I have travelled quite a bit and seen amazing countries and cities but no matter what London is the best city even though I'm being a bit biased. The hostels in London are awful but you should have find a guest house which you will get at decent price and it is comfortable and private. Some of the hostels around Kings Cross isn't good at all - it is quite a seedy area. And I think you got ripped off with the Fish and Chips as well - you can easy get great Fish and Chips around London at a cheaper price than what you paid
I've been to this hostel this year, I was shocked by the state of this place...it didn't change a bit...I got chills on my spine when I saw this place from hell again. Thanks god it was for just one night. It would be better sleeping outside.
Hi. I am currently following your Philippines lockdown. I live in the Chelsea area in London. Married to a filipena. Go to Davao city and Cebu Subic bay every year. Nice to catch this video when you visited London.lots of free museums in London.
Hello Cris. & Carol I’ve been working in London for 32 yrs but last year Dec 2019 before COVID 19, I decided to go back for good in my own country Philippine’s. Oyster travel card is cheaper to travel around London after 4 swipe it’s already free so you save money you can go by underground and buses. Aw you’re from Manchester it’s 4 hrs by train. I used to support Manchester United lol.
After over 50 visits to the UK, I believe Britain offers such poor value for your money. The accommodation even at 5 star hotels is most often crummy, sagging beds, threadbare carpets and towels and stained linen!
I've been watching all your videos for the last few months as I plan to travel to Brazil. Never knew you guys came to London and It's weird seeing you in my neighborhood, Kings Cross.
you should register your oyster on tfl.gov.uk and the oyster lasts for life so never throw it away the amount of money you leave on it will always stay there. But definitely register it in case you lose it you can block it, report it lost etc just like a bank card ;)
Glad you both made it to London England. I only came across your channel the other day and I'm glad I did. Very interesting! Your both awesome keep up the good work. I have British background, but live in Canada. Glad you enjoyed the sites and the food. Fish and chips is a must. Cheers.
Wow London, England. Greeted by fish and chips yum awesome. Thanks for a nice scenic ride in the underground. Kings cross with double deck bus.. time to look for the hostile. Awesome tour of London through your eyes...thank you.

Hey mate, didn't expect you to be commenting here haha. Had no idea anyone in Saudi even knew I had a channel, nuts lol. Bruce King commented a few days ago so that also surprised me. Glad you enjoyed them anyway, hope everything is going good with you :D

You don't need to tip in London. Hostels in London start from £8. London buses cost £1.50 for 90 minutes.
60 minutes
Very nice impressions of London 😊

Big Ben - or the building which houses the clock - is nearly 200 years old so was covered in scaffold while necessary repairs were carried out.

I will be touring London & UK in a few days, so your video was helpful to me.
Just saw your London video. When we were there July 2018 Big Ben was all covered up due to renovations. So like Carol I never got to see it 😞

Is all that in the museum stolen from Asia and Africa? Scary
That hostel had all the ambiance of a prison.
