We could build websites that adapt to this form-factor. I found this video because I was thinking what if I want to design my own watch face or smartwatch calculator with web technologies?
Yeah, the web being adapted for smartwatches is a cool idea that could be the future (much like how the web was in the last decade adapted for smartphones), and I wonder if web apps could be made to work for smartwatches as well at some point. Currently however, with the limited resources of a smartwatch, apps written as native apps seem to be the only way to have truly useful and responsive apps. I come from a web design background and liked being able to build once and deploy to various platforms. But when I looked at making apps for the Pixel Watch/Wear OS, I found the only way right now is learning Kotlin and building a native app.
@@Datyell What an interesting thought. Building for the web is (imo) a lot easier than writing native apps. Thanks for this video - I'm writing some watch-targeted web apps now!
Hi! I have a Google Pixel Watch, so I cannot confirm if it is available for the Samsung Galaxy Watch, but the app is available for the Pixel Watch in the Google Play Store and works.
Yes! You can, and and it will remember you're logged in even if you close and later reopen the app. It appears to support cookies and saved site data much like a standard web browser.
