You have no idea how amazing these guys are as lyricists. Seriously. Not just the rap songs. My guys are artists. Do the ff next with explained: Idol Spine Breaker Baepsae (Silver Spoon)
I want to point out that I disagree (slightly) with David's interpretation of the "frog in the well" metaphor. He makes it sound like RM is bragging about BTS having grown bigger than Korea and is mocking those who have not. But RM is very proud of Korea and that's not likely something he would say. A frog in a well is not limited to physical space, it is a mindset. RM is talking about people who can't get past narrow minded thinking and criticize BTS for operating in a way that's outside the box of expectations. It's not about going out of Korea it's about daring to be different from what they were told a rapper had to be, or an idol had to be. So when you see the line "I hope you die in your well", many people take that as "I hope you die" as a savage line, but it's actually a really chill line. Think of "until you die" as just another way of saying "for the rest of your life" He's not wishing them death, but saying 'if you're happy there in your little box, then stay in that box as long as you live, and good luck with that - we're not staying in it with you.'
personally I do think it's a pretty savage line even though he doesn't mean a literal death. he still means a metaphorical death. not just "fine, stay there" (imo), but "if you're gonna be myopic, I seriously hope you stagnate and rot within the industry's status quo."
Whatchu gotta say? What I got to say is ddaeng!!! So glad you listened and watched the explanation video. Actually, DKDKTV's "Idol" Explained video is also very helpful. Adam, please react to the MMA 2018 performances by BTS with the whole crew!!
MMA 2018 performance is out of this world good. DKDKTV has a great explanation, but ByStorm is also very informative (watch both for your own information even if you only react to one.
DKDKTV had a few more explained videos for other BTS songs: Idol, Baepsae, Spinebreaker, and Persona. There could be more but these r what I remember off the top of my head. U should definitely check these out too!
These 3 are geniuses!! RM literally wrote a song while he was recovering from a minor surgery. Simple procedure equals another hit RM song. Who would've thought?! Love ya
Not all ARMY are young. Juvenile, Birdman, Hot Boys, a teenage Lil Wayne, I remember when Cash Money first started, way before Nicki & Drake helped the label become top tier. Of course now the label has kinda fell off. But this video is not about Cash Money its about my boys Bangtan Sonyeondan and how mind blowing their rap line is. You guys really need to react to Outro:Tear, as much as I love Ddaeng it has nothing on Tear especially the live version. When I first saw them perform it at the United Center last October I was in complete awe. Seeing them perform it at Soldier Field for the second time was even more amazing. Love the reactions by the way can we get a few of their older b-side tracks especially some of the more R&B influenced tracks like Let Me Know, House of Cards, Love is Not Over, Moving On, & Hold Me Tight. These along with Butterfly & Save Me are the songs that first made me fall in love with BTS.
I'm gonna be off topic a bit on Cash Money. But, hearing you list off people like a very young Lil Wayne instantly sent me into my own teenage years. My very first rap group I ever encountered was Run DMC back in the early to mid-80's. I was completely hooked from then on on hip hop and rap. I dove right into learning everything. I remember learning how to breakdance and do most of the hip hop moves from watching videos that I would record off of tv. I would watch movies like Breakdancing and replay it over and over until I got down most of the moves. Then when I heard Will Smith's Prince of Bel Air, it changed my perspective on rap lyrics. I started paying more attention to the lyrics instead of just the beat. I even changed the way I wrote poetry because of that. I realized that I could be funny, witty, satirical in my poetry and still be poetry. It didn't always have to be dark, introspective or even romantic (yuck!). I still loved hip hop but couldn't enjoy the rap part once it all became over violent, over sexual, over greedy, and lazy. When I encountered Eminem I started to like it a little bit, but nowhere near how I loved it before. Then here I am... an old woman... totally loving rap again because of BTS. I had almost given up on ever loving this genre again. But BTS's rap line is a breath of fresh air for me. And J-Hope's moves have got me dancing again! I haven't danced since 1994. I can't believe myself right now, but I'm happier than ever! Sorry for the long reply that is totally off topic, but I was inspired to write something because you made me reminisce in a good way. Thank you! 💜

Ddaeng that was a good reaction!! For a few minutes while David was on, there were 3 handsome men blessing my screen 🤣. Dkdktv is a good source for BTS insight, well the David half lol.
If you watch what happened at the Muster concerts this summer, you will understand the power this song has live and how much of a fan favorite it is. This is a true concert banger and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it incorporated into their live set at some point. The crowd involvement is at top tier the handful of times they have played the song live. Also, the Musters displayed something that is pretty damn cool, which is the boys fanboying over each other. That's what comes across to this ARMY anyway and we love it.
Yay finally And something that I've heard was the part where RM stutters Is talking about people who really didn't pay attention to them and now they're so star stuck trying to talk to them It's amazing honestly
Actually his stutter is for a different reason than that but still just as epic if not more so! muish.wordpress.com/2018/06/16/bts-ddaeng-english-translation-and-ramblings/
Thank u for appreciating the work of art of our geniuses (Boys), thank u for giving them the credit they deserve that western media doesnt even know or research on, they only see the surface but not beyond that to know how intelligent and gifted BTS are. Yup! There is pure genius in this group. I can’t wait to to watch you. I find what you point out in the music. They are far more than just a Dancing Boy Band. Thanx!
As always, I enjoyed your video and it feels good when reactors like you spend time getting to know BTS deeper. For us ARMYs, understanding every lyrics of their songs are automatic behavior because we already know we can rely on them to write good lyrics with deeper meanings. It has always been that way since the beginning. So when we introduce BTS to non-fans, it's always our desire for them to look deeper than what they see outside (the good performances) because we already know they're more than that. That's also why ARMYs have created contents like this which we recommend to explain what BTS is about. So thank you. When you watched the movie Bring The Soul of BTS, that's even going above and beyond because it's already going the path monetary support. You paid money to watch the boys and maybe in the future, watch a concert too even just for the experience of it. Thank you again. Looking forward for more. Here are 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Great reaction! I’m glad you checked out DKDK’s explanation too. I’ll add my vote in for SpineBreaker and the explained by DKDK. I think you’ll really like that one.
RM is a rap genius. When I found out he had his own stuff, I went and listened to it all. I am not sure if I have all his stuff, but I have a good portion of it.
During the explanation of Suga's part, it doesn't really mean "don't care about you low class goods" but more like it doesn't matter how big haters influence are because he (BTS) is a ddaeng
After I heard this song the first time about two months ago I got hooked. Now every time I hear someone say dang I instantly start singing Ddaeng in my head...Thank you for taking the time to react and learn the meaning to this song.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜😍😃
I really really like your reaction ,you and your brother ( like always). I like the fact that you take the time to really understand the meaning of this song and I also appreciate the respect you show for their work. 💜
RM's part in Ddeng is my favorite. Flaunting his brilliance in a way that just floooooors me. Love it. I feel like the whole song was leading up to him - that feel. Gah. XD
Spinebreaker MV with eng lyrics is one of the most hilarious BTS videos I have ever seen and was one of the first ones I watched that cemented in my mind I was going to be stanning those lovable, talented dorks 😂
Of course I know Cash Money! Still REALLY want your brother and you see *3J Dance Practice* .. there’s a performance video but the angles don’t show off the dance that well so it’s behind the scenes type video. 3J stands for the dance line: J Hope, Jungkook, and Jimin. It was before V became a part of the dance line.
Thank ya'll for looking in to the guys deeper than just the typical surface review. All of the members are so talented in their own ways.... I am STILL waiting to see a reaction to Cypher Medley LIVE from 2017.... Ya'll gonna do that one? It is a great compilation of the cyphers with Supreme Boi on the table and you can see the SWAG drippin' off of them. THANKS again!!!
WhatchaGot2Say WhatchaGot2Say imma little sad.... Cypher Medley Live 2017? 😢😢😢. Thought you were gonna react...... have I missed it? Ya’ll ok? 😢😢😢😢😢. 💜💜💜💜💜💜. Hope all is well.
The frog in the well thing really makes sence when rm was talking about the other korean rappers being comfortable in being famous only in Korea because most of them don't know real rap culture like they do
Next would be...... Spinebreaker the mv first then the explanation... The spinebreaker was filmed by bts themselves on their own... Its very epic hence its very deep in terms of meaning..... I am really glad you liked ddaeng!. See you next time!
Yeah don’t get into the habit of pausing too much or reading the lyrics too carefully! The groove of the song is also so important. If you pause right before a beat drop it’s not as effective. Love ya guys!
“A bee that stings but not deadly” ~~I like that metaphor u just did !! Actually if they’ll be dead then they won’t feel pain anymore thus keeping them alive while agonizing in intense pain to the point that they wished to be killed instead is the worst situation that haters could get but they deserve it anyway.. I’ve experienced what they did to us BTS & ARMYs on a daily basis since I entered the fandom even until now so I have no mercy for them. 🙄
Don't know if anyone's mentioned but the fan translators' reactions when this song dropped were crazy funny. They were all so stunned by the amount of wordplay and all had pages and pages of notes trying to explain all the references and context. I remember waiting excitedly to read the lyrics for ddaeng 😄
We may think that their song as re just simply as it is literally... but with BTS, there is no such thing... There are reasons, explanations and story behind every line of the song... to make it more complicated, their MVs are taking us more deeper and giving us more head ache in deciphering all those hints..
I always love how you guys conclude something positive from all BTS's video. I will definitely spend my time to marathon all your BTS's reaction. Thanks for entertaining me. Love from Army
What I love about Ddaeng is it's a diss track but it's not cursing at haters directly. It's a diss track but not a diss track you know what I mean? Lol
Yay! I always look forward to your reactions! Honestly all their songs are well written, so what ever you choose to react to will be great. I hope you check out their solo stuff too, their heart 💜 is in everything, from beats to lyrics. When it comes to dance video I would recommend “boy in luv”. They have a dance practice video. I think you would love it! It’s from very early in their career. They’ve been killin it for a long time.
Hey. geaux NOLA, yes I know. What's Lil Wayne up to these days? Ddaeng really is jabbing at the 3 big 'competitors' in S.Korea. Those groups tried to block BTS journey with boulders. But every hater was silenced with love and harmony by ARMY. You're right, BTS is brilliant with the positive spins on negativity. Suga once said, if everybody (or more) people would speak with positive words, it will change everything. Edit: after the second video.....all I got is 'ddaeng'.
soooo army do u think its time???Well i do!!!HOPEWORLD is just waiting(as am i!) for u to react.Baseline,Hangsang,Daydream, and the entire album is a jhope(and supreme boi) masterpiece! So very proud of jhope who produced the whole thing himself! U guys should put hopeworld on ur "to do" list!
The talk abt the positive "dissing" reminds me of this one song ARMY jokingly calls BTSs diss track to ARMY. It's called Pied Piper, referencing the fairy tale abt the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The song basically talks abt unhealthy fan culture and advises ARMY to not fall too deep down the rabbit hole. On the other hand, in the same song BTS also acknowledges their hand in the cultivation of fan culture, and promises to only lead ARMY to good things. I would love to see you guys react to that one as well, preferably with Mika💜
I’m so happy you finally reacted to this amazing song, ddaeng is my ultimate favorite, from the music to those awesome lyrics and word play. I’ve to say I learned it for a contest and thankfully won. BTS never disappoints with their music, you always learn a lot.. Thank you for your reactions guys. ♥️👑
WhatchaGot2Say thank you! Been studying the korean language for a while so I guess with the contest it kinda paid off my efforts in a way. Even wanted to upload a cover here but I’m sure it’s gonna flop 😆
Nico, your referring to the BTS Rap Line to a non killer bee was genius!! Check out BTS 5th Muster this year where the rap line lets the Vocal Line perform this song. Its Classic!
Of course we know Cash Money Records. Fun fact: Aziatix (A Korean-American group which Flowsik, a South Korean rapper, was a part of) used to be under the label. But unfortunately, they parted ways even before releasing their album. That group was tight back in the days. Now I guess they all went separate ways and you should check out Flowsik's solo songs.
RM is a beast with korean wordplay (I am trying to not use the term “monster’). I think he’s passed his diss track days, but if ever provoked, I will pity the poor soul who does.
I wish you 3 could watch the prom party performance of this, which is what David is showing in the video, at 12:18 the audience goes quiet during RM's verses.. I love how everyone stops and listens when the president is speaking.
I think you guys would really enjoy their other explanation videos as well! The ones for IDOL, Baepsae, and spinebreaker are really great ones as well. One that I would also really recommend is BTS’ song “paldogangsan” and then “paldogangsan explained by a Korean”
Hahahahahaha I liked this! I love love love this song when Namjoon does the stutter 😍😍 I die everytime.! And then you hear the explanation and you realize the genius that is RM/Namjoon/Joon/Joonie 😍😍 Thats a 146 IQ for you DDEANG!! One of my many fav song, ddaeng!
All time DDAENG!!! so hooked up with this song 💜
I was waiting for this reaction!!!! Loved it! Ddaeng is probably my fave rapline song!!
P.s check out his explanation of Idol if you haven't already!
Check "Idol" explanation by the same channel and "Spine breaker" too
*The rap line is like a bee that doesn’t kill you*
I LOVE that.
RM's part in Ddeng is my favorite. Flaunting his brilliance in a way that just floooooors me. Love it. I feel like the whole song was leading up to him - that feel. Gah. XD
Come and get that Outro:Tear reaction! Ddaeng is a lyrical masterpiece, but damn Tear is something special.
Look forward to Outro: Tear
Check out
Spine Breaker lyrics + explanation DKDKTV
Baespae dance practice + explanation DKDKTV
'Idol' MV + explanation DKDKTV
Yes, outro : tear lyric + live performance esp with the dior outfit
C P Yeah definitely. Should have it out this weekend 🤓😏
@@WhatchaGot2Say whooooo whoooooo!!!! Thank you!!!!!
yeah I'm waiting on the Cypher Medley LIVE & Outro: Tear reactions myself.....I like Ddaeng ok but it's not my fave
WhatchaGot2Say WhatchaGot2Say imma little sad.... Cypher Medley Live 2017? 😢😢😢. Thought you were gonna react...... have I missed it? Ya’ll ok? 😢😢😢😢😢. 💜💜💜💜💜💜. Hope all is well.
im a New Orleans native, lived here my whole life so damn well i know bout Cash Money records lmao i cracked up when yall mentioned that
haley n You a REAL one 😏🤓
Man.... when Namjoon stutters his lines - some one said it was him making fun of his haters... my favorite part!
You may want to watch as well the DDAENG vocal line version it was lit be looking forward for that
Yeah don’t get into the habit of pausing too much or reading the lyrics too carefully! The groove of the song is also so important. If you pause right before a beat drop it’s not as effective. Love ya guys!
“A bee that stings but not deadly”
~~I like that metaphor u just did !!
BTS ARE DEFINITELY INTELLECTUALS
Don't know if anyone's mentioned but the fan translators' reactions when this song dropped were crazy funny. They were all so stunned by the amount of wordplay and all had pages and pages of notes trying to explain all the references and context. I remember waiting excitedly to read the lyrics for ddaeng 😄
if you wanna check another rap line song i suggest outro: tear ITS A BOP
So now is time to react to Ddeang live AND Ddaeng from 5th muster where vocal line rap 😎
The bee analogy! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ddaeng 😂
We may think that their song as re just simply as it is literally... but with BTS, there is no such thing...
There are reasons, explanations and story behind every line of the song... to make it more complicated, their MVs are taking us more deeper and giving us more head ache in deciphering all those hints..
They said such hurtful things so calmly in ddaeng 🤣🤣
I always love how you guys conclude something positive from all BTS's video. I will definitely spend my time to marathon all your BTS's reaction. Thanks for entertaining me. Love from Army
Being a BTS army has taught me more creative colourful language like “ tasteless ratatouille” and I’m loving it . Great reaction as always 💜💜💜
What I love about Ddaeng is it's a diss track but it's not cursing at haters directly. It's a diss track but not a diss track you know what I mean? Lol
Also yoongi produced the beat with another producer from bighit the two of them produced it and it’s a banger cuz it SLAPS..
This is now one of my favorite video reaction that you guys did!!!This just shows how unique and amazing BTS are as an artists!...Just my POV😊
Glad you finally did this one! ^_^
Thank you for your reaction. Yes Armys agreed BTS is smart and respectful
Ah this was great !!! Thank you💜 Agree with you.
I am seriously enjoying your videos!
That means a LOT to us. Thank you and glad we could add some goodness to your day!
soooo army do u think its time???Well i do!!!HOPEWORLD is just waiting(as am i!) for u to react.Baseline,Hangsang,Daydream, and the entire album is a jhope(and supreme boi) masterpiece!
Gigi Kim Whoa you learned this?! Shout out to you!
WhatchaGot2Say thank you!
Been studying the korean language for a while so I guess with the contest it kinda paid off my efforts in a way. Even wanted to upload a cover here but I’m sure it’s gonna flop 😆
watch the presentation at Wembley please !!
"good" is such an huge understatement for this song and it's lyrics. lol
Nico, your referring to the BTS Rap Line to a non killer bee was genius!! Check out BTS 5th Muster this year where the rap line lets the Vocal Line perform this song. Its Classic!
Tanya Perez Haha thank you🙏🏼 and good looking out🤓
Yasss!! I was waiting for this video to come out 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I usually check out the comments while watching the video but im SO early that there aren’t even any
Laura Pham same 😂
Laura Pham Shout out to the Early Birds!
Of course we know Cash Money Records. Fun fact: Aziatix (A Korean-American group which Flowsik, a South Korean rapper, was a part of) used to be under the label. But unfortunately, they parted ways even before releasing their album. That group was tight back in the days. Now I guess they all went separate ways and you should check out Flowsik's solo songs.
afagyel oh crap never knew that
React to BTS Golden Disk Award 2018 Dance Practice. As a dancer you got to see this it's amazing please react.
yall need to watch the DKDK explaining Baepsae and Paldogangsan
For these rappers of BTS, lyrics are important. Not just being cool or having bars, but they sends messages through them
Love how you guys are delving into deeper meanings of their lyrics!
I wish you added the live performance to this reaction. It was super cool
BTS 7 KINGS SO SMART...👍🤴💜
Hahahahahaha I liked this! I love love love this song when Namjoon does the stutter 😍😍 I die everytime.! And then you hear the explanation and you realize the genius that is RM/Namjoon/Joon/Joonie 😍😍 Thats a 146 IQ for you DDEANG!!
DKDKtv has alot more song explained by a Koreans the are really good I like them.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA ADAM JUST EXPOST YOU!! You know we be watching you👀👀
Im so IMPRESS-ED man Your POSSIBLE inglish!! LOL Exposed! 🤓
Thank you guys so much for appreciate BTS on thier talented skills, especially BTS Rap Line these guys are intelligent writers, producer, and knows how to play their words bars into a true meaning psychology to show 'Haters who they are and how much they achieved or accomplished on another level, so thank you for hating us because all you do just motivated us guys to be even more better, and clever intelligent skillful to keep fighting to be the best of what we do so thank you low class Haters out there who's hating on us Army's and BTS we will continue do our best to stay on top while you still struck into your small well doing nothing but hating peace..✌💜😂
Waiting for Baepsae reaction and explanation by DKDKTV too and “Spinebreaker”. Thks for the great reaction as always 😘
YES SPINEBREAKER!! The most hilarious video and one of my favs for the deep meaning and willingness to tackle social issues. As a new ARMY, Spinebreaker helped cement my love for BTS and willingness to stan. 💜
Maybe...or hopefully you please react to BTS' Spring Day with explanation and Spinebreaker with DKDKTV explanation too! And BTS' Idol with DKDKTV explanation as well.
There is a behind the scenes Ddaeng video also. That shows a little them making the song and practising the performance. Would be cool for you to check that! There is english subs ones for it.
Going back through some of your older reactions lately (since I've seen all the newer ones). Really happy you did this song, I've been listening to this one a lot lately. Insert the more you know meme here lol but honestly, I'm happy to know more about the meaning of this one. Thanks for that.
