Also, back in the earlier days the haters would often mock RM and says he stutters too much in his rap songs so it's a nice throwback as well.
Taehyung is the biggest rap line fan in fact out of all the rappers his favourite is Yoongi. That’s why when it was Yoongi’s verse he suddenly appears and starts jamming, he then proceeds to hype Yoongi up. You’ll notice in the rapline songs he keeps singing Yoongi’s part the most.

@@Cerita__Dunia I truly don't see why ARMY is suddenly overrun with you shippers, solos, mantis of all sorts. Where did you get your need to attach them boys exclusively one to one? Are these blinders y'all have on? V popped off on second verse beause SUGA was doing it, and by matching SUGA's energy he made the whole performance better. If he tried to clown when President Namjoon came in with that ice cold bar, he would've detracted from it. There's other videos where he popped off on RM's verse in cyphers, or where he's syncing to JHope's flow when he's feeling it.
Tae, as all his bandmates, is an artist and appreciates great art. But even more importantly, he has a large enough heart and mind to stan all three them geniuses in the rapline. It's actually not hard to appreciate all the Bangtan 7, ARMY used to mostly be like it. I promise if you take off shipper goggles or whatever it is you got on, it'll be clear as day that every single Bangtan member makes the others better and props the other 6 up, and separating them each into different corners is detrimental.

V is the president of the rapline fanclub, and it's so dang precious. Ddaeng is a prime example of the rap line showing of the lyric genius, and I love, love, love to see and hear it.
One of my favourite bits from the rehearsal is that JK, the actual maknae, is silently sitting in the back looking like a proud dad, whilst Vmin go crazy like toddlers hyped up on sugar 😂 Although if Jin didn’t have to miss out due to personal loss, we’d likely have seen him and JK playing about.

You'll never find bigger fans of BTS than BTS themselves, so Jimin's and Tae's enthusiastic support is natural. I love that when Tae couldn't hold back during the live performance and bounced onto stage, the others didn't seem to mind at all. In addition to the braniac wordplay of Joon's part, it's the soft voice he uses to deliver those scalding phrases with, sounding so dismissive, as if the haters aren't even worth his raising his voice over. The impact for me is enormous.
I love how in the Behind The Scene of Ddaeng you can clearly see Hobi enjoying the song, then understand that something isn't of his liking, slowly stopping to understand better, comment on it, fix it and then going back to enjoying it!
Those little details makes you appreciate the time and the dedication that Bangtan put in their music even more!
Watching RM's face when working is like night and day from our daily RM.

Ok you know you're AWESOME(SUGA) when V takes off his shoes & gives you his hat(& then when Suga gives V the opportunity in concert to show his appreciation of V supporting him & V absolutely kills his verse).Then he activates RM. I'm just so humbled & amazed at the professionalism, comradery, &, just outstanding support BTS have among themselves. Too be honest I really don't see anybody in the industry right now that can ever come with in a millimeter of them.That's right I took it there millimeter(1/1000th) of an inch(I'm a Math Teacher I know this).BTS is just too great!!
2 things about RM writing that line about eating ramen before bed
1. A couple months ago they did an interview where the members were commenting on RM's face because it looked so puffy and he said he'd eaten ramen before bed lol (this was long after those lyrics were written) I think Hobi actually said it was shocking.
2. Don't know if anyone noticed this - during the Grammy announcement video with JM, JK, V and RM Joon says "I'm hungry" and gets up to get something to eat. Jimin says "get back over there and sit down - we have a shoot tomorrow" hahaha
This is something I understand well as someone whose every gram of salt shows up under my eyes the next day lol I know they're international pop stars and they need to look good, but as an American the expectations of idols to look a certain way isn't something I can't totally get behind. That's not being judgy - it's a cultural difference and also my opinion for what it's worth. L💜

I also fell fully in LOVE with this rap too. (I am a 66 year old grandma from the States... I have never ever listened to rap nor had use for it before. I am totally humbled, "brought to my knees" and "blown away" by the power of genius driven BTS rap line and this song.
I am seeing their rap practice for the first time too. I howled with you guys when Tae-hyung threw his shoes off and when Ji-min bullet Tae-hyung's shoe.
The vocal weren't practicing for their performance. They were just being supportive and hilarious. Prom Party was in 2018 and the vocal line performed Ddaeng in 2019.

U don't see suga later cuz he was awake all night finishing the song, RM told him to go to sleep , that they will finish to check their parts. U see these scenes in the memories of 2018 of the festa when they first released this song.

There are actual videos dedicated to V's dislike of shoes and in those videos, you will see Jimin tossing the shoes or yelling at him because it messes something up! Keep up the good work, guys!

I’m glad that this explanation was provided about the multi use of the word “ddaeng” in this song. I can enjoy and appreciate it that much more now. Tae is definitely the biggest hype/fanboy for the rap line. I was watching the muster package & he practiced so hard to do his part. First night he was not happy so he practiced harder for the second night. His face was so proud. It is so cute to see that even back to the No More Dream Era there are behind the scenes clips of VMin rapping around the rap line. One time they were in Hawaii & they ran up to Joonie playing one of his old raps.
I am always smiling, jamming & laughing when I listen to this sing because of all of the behind the scenes & other clips I have seen play in my head. I am so very grateful that you all went so in depth with this song.
