I really appreciate the transparency! I find stuff like this so interesting and educational, so thank you for making this video :)
Thank you so much! X
I was pleasantly surprised how cheap your rent is!! In London, most students pay nearer £300 pw for a room with a shared kitchen. This was such an interesting and useful video!!
You don't have to spend that much in London. I'm a student at UCL and I'm spending 132 pw.
I pay £170 a week in Central London, so can definitely be cheaper then this
In Leeds most students I know in private shared housing pay ~£80-£120 for rent & bills so as Lydia says Denmark is much more expensive in comparison
It’s £215 PER WEEK!!!! Over £900 a month! It’s so expensive

genuine question, how??? I will be moving to London in September for uni and all the accommodation I can find online is insanely expensive, even receiving a full maintenance loan and working part time still wouldn't be enough with these prices :(
Please, don't feel bad for being able to pay for all the expenses. You work really hard to cover all the costs and have a good lifestyle whilst studying.🙃
Of course, lots of students struggle to maintain high living standards even though they have other jobs.
Therefore, it's great that you appreciate what you have but you should never be ashamed of that. :)
Thank you for your lovely comment :) x
This was incredibly clear and to the point. It helps a lot thank you!
love your vids as always! would loveeee them to be longer, they're so relaxing to watch :) xxx
absolutely love the video Lydia xx
I also drove past Maeve the other day and I got so excited 😂
Wow it’s so much better than I was expecting! The prices seem very comparable to Australia and like rent, the gym, alcohol and eating out seems way cheaper than our prices im feeling so much more relived now 😅
Hey Lydia Violeta I love your vlogs so much and I can’t wait for your new video on Saturday morning.
Really interesting, def agree that costs are v similar to London (except maybe the coffee, but not by much!)
Hey lydia,
I love you soo much! ❤✨
love love love this! currently working as a digital nomad in Europe (lol hate that term) and this is very helpful!
How cool, I’m glad it was useful!
i reallyy lovee ur videos!! and the thumbnaill is amazinggggg💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you!! X
As a Dane, I would like to add that £215 pw for student accommodation is the most insane thing I've ever heard !! I'd say the average is about half of that.
Yes I’m realising recently just how expensive my student accomm is in comparison to other options! X
Very informative, thank you this helps immensely :)
Literally just got back from a holiday to Copenhagen last night! Gorgeous place, but so expensive! It’s a good job the coins are so cool😂
Hope you had a lovely time!
This is so helpful! I'm looking to move to Copenhagen within the next few years
I’m so glad! X
Well done! You do you!
How long are you studying at CBS for? I did an exchange at CBS too and loved it so much! I lived in the Svanavej residence. I still dream about my days in Denmark. I’d love to move back there and do a Masters one day. Thanks so much for making this lovely video! ❤

You’re welcome, I hope it was helpful :)
Props to your for filming this! Idk if I would be able to, haha. But I really enjoyed watching! This was so informative and interesting. Cannot believe the price of the salad though 🤣
Thank you lovely! Hahaha yes so expensive x
Been long i hv seen a vdo of yours 💕🥺😌
Your thumbnails!! 😍
Thank you!!!
Just one comment: Don’t be embarrassed of your financial ability. Be proud. If living by the Danish spirit of the law of Jante, keep the “proud” feeling to yourself. A typical Dane making a video like this would simply state the fact. No more no less. Although being in Denmark (Dane or non-dane) you are of course free to do what ever you like! I would go for the “proud”, even though I am Danish.
Just a small easy cost saver if you are going to stay in Copenhagen for a longer period. With a fairly high frequency Danish police have bicycle auctions. If you are staying here for more than a few months I would recommend going there and bid in cash to get a cheap bike. Ask a Dane where to find the auctions. You can look at the bikes before going under the hammer. You can get a functioning bike for 200 Kroner, 500 for a durable functioning bike and 1000 (and upwards, there can be pro bikes there as well and then 15.000 can be called) for a good quality bike whether you go for speed or durability.
Great timing! i am trying to move out of home.
Hello, this is a really nice video, helped me a lot in my research about studying in denmark.
But a question, since there are less courses in english, how difficult is to apply from a EU country?
Thank you
Compared to prices in Boston this is sooooo cheap oh my god. You’d pay $8-10 for a beer here, $15 for a cocktail, my 1 bed 1 bath right outside the city is $2100 per month, a typical entree at a normal restaurant is probably $22-28, a coffee will usually run you around $2-5 at a typical cafe, etc. anyone else in the US relate? Makes me feel better about maybe studying in Copenhagen. Thinking about moving their w my partner in the next 2 years :)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ wonderful
so interesting! is there a particular reason you know of as to why copenhagen is so expensive compared to other places?
Happy Saturday
The funny thing is, this is pretty normal even living cheap in the U.S.A.
Can you do a travelling / city breaks cost video!
Definitely, if there’s enough interest in this :)
well done to you vid was good to watch and interesting - post post and post so we can make you some dosh, thanks
I can't live there as a Turkish student. The prices are insane for us!
Yes i lived in Turkey and every thing was cheap even for someone like me who is from a poor country.
shop in netto rema lidl fakta føtex is too expensive remember when you get a job you will be ok in DK
its like sweden but alcohol is more expensive in sweden
Hi, thanks so much for this video, really helpful! could you give the name of you gym plz ? :)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I visited Copenhagen, I got just a shot of espresso… and it was 5€🤯
Any reason you don't get the maintenance loan whilst in Copenhagen? I thought you would still get it during study abroad
I think she's choosing not to get it since she has a good income
Yes you can still get one! I just chose not to x
Hi!! :)
Hi, I'm coming to Copenhagen at the end of April for 6 days, how much money do you think I should prepare for six days, not including hotel, only for transportation, food and maybe a little shopping?
As a dane i would say between 4000 or 5000 danish kroner. How much did you end up spending?
@@ofthenote7162
8,391.95 kroner, but I ended up buying a lot of gifts for relatives
Yesterday I paid £4,75 for a flapjack in Leeds🤧 Love the inflation
Hope it was a nice flapjack hahaha!
do you regret your study in DK ??
No not at all!
