Honestly, your right, phone camera quality have been becom REALLY good but there is a difference of the color but not too big of a difference. Also if you are looking for a good rugged vlog camera, just get a gopro. They record 8k 60fps or 4k 120fos.

Pretty troublesome behaviour. If you want to test a camera either go to a camera shop and ask to test it or hire the model you're interested in.
a quick test at the store isn’t enough to really know if a camera suits my needs
