A Lifestyle Edition of 612 UK Skoda Felicia Fun Pickups with only 17,301 miles.
    EQUIPMENT
Type 796 pick-up body with 2+2 seat configuration, sliding rear bulkhead to reveal 2 folding rear seats, full body kit with integral bull bar, large bumpers, roof rails, roll-over bar, unique Yellow Fun paintwork to body, contrasting dark yellow body kit paint, Frog Prince C-pillar and rear door decals, Yellow leather/cloth upholstery with Frog Prince logo, rear storage lockers, wooden load bed protector slats. Dealer options; Truckman Aerotop SL with side windows, mud flaps, tailored floor mats with Frog Prince logo, interior wood fascia pack.
    EXTERIOR
This amazing limited-edition vehicle from Skoda is finished in factory original Yellow Fun, (Code L651), with contrasting dark yellow bumpers and body kit. Having covered just 17,267 miles from new and been in the ownership of a fastidious Skoda Owners Club member and former Skoda employee, the vehicle is simply outstanding. The paintwork boasts a bright polished shine throughout. All panels are pin straight and free from damage as are the unique trim sections, body kit and quirky Frog Prince decals. Supplying dealer number plates remain with the car. The factory optional and very sought-after Truckman Aerotop SL with side windows is fully intact and easy to manoeuvre on and off the vehicle. This idiosyncratic dare to be different Skoda is guaranteed to live up to its name.
    INTERIOR
Absolutely fabulous in every respect is this wonderfully peculiar interior upholstered with factory Yellow leather and cloth with Frog Prince logo, reputedly inspired by the Frog Prince fairy tale and a reference to Volkswagen’s partnership with Skoda. Having covered just 17,267 miles from new, the seats are in amazing preserved condition. The matching door cards are as new and the often-discoloured yellow leather to the steering wheel, gear knob, handbrake lever and gaiter remain super-bright. Incredibly, the first owner had the foresight to retain the original floor mats with Frog Prince logo unused and still in the cellophane covering! Standard carpets with a yellow beading protect the carpets front and rear instead. The clever and effortless system of folding and unfolding the perfect rear seats allows this full adult four-seater to be enjoyed whilst retaining plenty of load space storage for whichever adrenaline sports activity you have chosen for the day. The rear seats have three factory seat belts. All equipment operates perfectly including the original Grundig MS201 Skoda branded stereo. Weird and truly wonderous!
    ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the time proven 1.6MPI four-cylinder engine with a power output of 73bhp, the fun never stops with a top speed of 101mph and 0-60mph in 12.5 seconds. A spotless clean engine bay features factory stickers and plates clear to see as well as fragile paper labels lost on most higher mileage examples. The five-speed gearbox is light and robust.
    WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The unique seven-spoke alloy wheels are unrestored and in fantastic condition with only faint markings visible upon close scrutiny. For originality purposes the factory Michelin MX80 165/80 R13 tyres remain fitted all round thanks to being stored off the car since new. Dual circuit servo-assisted brakes with 236mm front discs and rear drums offer ample stopping power.
    HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Skoda Auto Main Dealer, Tran’s City Car Centre Ltd of Walthamstow, this example was registered new on the 2nd June 1999 and has covered a mere 17,301 miles from new. Purchased in 2002 by the previous owner, Mr Briars, who is a former Skoda employee and was a prominent member of the Skoda Owner’s Club GB. The owner of an eclectic collection of various classic cars of which Skoda’s were the majority, this Fun remained in his ownership for 20 years and the preserved condition is quite incredible. Attending various shows and even used in a publicity photoshoot for Playboy this car is not for the fainthearted! Virtually impossible to source items include a brand-new unopened set of floor mats with Frog Prince logo and an original Skoda Felicia Fun Brochure. The full book pack includes the additional Felicia Fun handbook and there are two sets of keys. In July 2022 at 17,301 miles a cambelt change and service was carried out.
    HPI Clear.

I really, really wanted one of these when they first went on sale. But at the time as a young man in a dead end job, earning just £3.25 an hour, I was lucky to be able to afford the 10 year old Renault 5 1.1 TL in fairly ropey condition I bought.

      Aww, that's a shame. :(
I thought just the "normal" Felicias were actually quite nice - even though they were less expensive than the Fabia and more "modest", I still really wanted one myself.
And I used to salivate over hundreds of different cars, this one was quite special.
      I know, I'm strange. But I don't care.

@@letsdiscussitoversometea8479 well if that makes you strange, then I must be extremely peculiar! I would have loved even the most basic Felecia at the time. £5,995 I think they were. But even that was way beyond my finances.

@@Richard-Bullock £6,995 by the time I got a brochure for one (and believe me, EVERYONE knew about me and my car brochures (especially the postman!))
Don't remember getting a "promotional" offer brochure for _this_ variant though... though I do love the very '90s funky colour scheme, even if it does slightly clash with the walnut trim.
      Would I buy one?
Sorry, not this particular one - get a "normal" one, we'll talk! :)

@@letsdiscussitoversometea8479 I am thinking back to 1996. Somewhere I still have a pull out from What Car magazine from August 1996, just as the P registration came out, covering the cheapest cars. The Felicia was among them. That was priced at £5,995 then. Also in the group test was a Mini, a Lada Samara, and another car which I have forgotten.
