In my experience it is best to get to know the proper functioning of any equipment, in order to be able to use It safety and more efficiently. Your demonstration targets the general population, those individual who are very knowledgeable , those individuals who are just starting to use a microwave, the young, older individuals , or simple individual who do not do a lot of food preparation at home like me.
For those who want to know how to change the "My Settings/options" on your microwave...here's how ('cause this video and the operating instructions are SO informative - NOT!): Click on the "Options" button. Each time you press that button, you go to a different "Option" - You'll need to have the door open to see what those "Options" are. But, here they are: Option 1= Weight; Option 2= Clock Display; Option 3= Sound; Option 4=Remind End Signal; Option 5= Daylight Savings; Option 6=Demo; Option 7= Filter Reminder. If (say) you want to get rid of that annoying "reminder" beep, press "Option" 4 times 'till you get to Option 4. Then, press 1 for "On" or 2 for "Off"and then press "Start."
Thank you. Kids changed the weight from lbs to grams. 😂 By any chance would you know how come when using the auto defrost it stops after 30 seconds even though the timer started at 6 mins?
Shirley J Macke Usually they do a signal for that 2 or 3 times during the process. This literally stops 30 seconds in. I haven’t been able to figure it out since I got it. I’ve been just using time cook and reducing it to power level 3.

He does not know how to use the set timer button for the lights. It's simple and very convenient. I used that and set it to come on at 8:00 p.m. and go off at 11:59 p.m. at night. Unless there is a power outage, it automatically comes on and goes off at that time daily.

I also feel the heat from the microwave coming out from the top vents and can feel it and how it might affect the cabinet doors above so curious about that??? One of the most important feature for any user is the POWER Mode which you failed to demonstrate. The POWER feature would set the power level to 40% for example, to keep from rubberizing bread or meats.
This doesn't work. After choosing "power level" key, when I hit "1" the microwave says "hi". When I hit "2" it goes to 20, and so on up to "9" which shows 90. So is "1" the high level (as indicated by the machine) or is it "90"? Trying to put it on half power, I finally chose "5"..or 50. Weird.

I wanted to know how to use the 'options' to set Daylight Savings Time on or off. Samsung gave BASICALLY ZERO information on using OP-1, OP2, etc.. Op-5 is to set the clock for Daylight Savings Time, but nothing on what to do when you get to OP-5 or any of the other OPs. Basics are basic. I didn't need those. It was like 'operating a microwave for dummies'/first time users. But thanks for posting a video for them anyway. I guess I need to search further for a decent more detailed user manual, if there is one. I set the time and later in the day it's dropped back an hour. Very annoying SAMSUNG!

I just installed this microwave. Worst printed instructions I have ever seen for the operation of the unit so I went looking for a video. The options button has me puzzled. I can hit the options button and scroll through the 7 options, and I can exit by pressing the stop/clear button but I can't get into the actual options to change anything. Option 2 is supposed to be for sound on/off (referring to the instructions sheet) but I can't "enter" option 2 to change it. Same with all the other options - can't get into them to do anything.
yooper survival - I figured out that the numbers 1 & 2 turn the unknown options on and off just by pushing buttons - still don't know what order the options are in. The instructions pamphlet lists options in paragraph form but they are not in that order. I will never buy anything that says Samsung again - too frustrating!
