😃 “ THIS style is my favorite of all the Kung Fu sword fighting techniques. That double-handed cycling and twirling motion is just ‘ a thing of beauty ’ to see. ”
Actually both! Flexible and rigid swords offer useful training qualities that the other does not. However, if you are looking to get only one pair, I'd suggest the semi-rigid. It's more robust than the flexible wushu steel, and lighter and more agile than the rigid blades.
Now I'm trying to figure a way to do downward flower, and do a 360 spin to a double side swing strike. However I'm having trouble with the footing to spin completely...advice? Or do you have a video that could help? I practiced a little yesterday and I do keep one weapon at my back while I spin as to prevent any open spots on my back, but as mentioned my footing to spin isn't quite right. Thank you again!
I might not have interpreted what you are doing correctly, but I would suggest looking at the entire motion as a 360, but really your double downward flower would be only 180 degrees of the turn, then once you're facing away turn it into your double side swing strike. If you start the flower with the Left leg forward, then step forward with the right foot, turn towards your left, then continue turning as you cross step behind your right foot with your left, and unwind to left foot forward again.... hope that makes sense 😅
@@SifuKuttel makes sense, thank you, I will be working on that, along with the Choy li fut foot movement and basically all your broadsword videos lol I'm looking to learn a lot and I know it will take time but I GREATLY appreciate the response! I'll be watching ur videos a lot so I can grow accustomed and eventually be able to maneuver properly. Btw. I saw ur website said something about video lessons? Is that still a thing? I live in Maine (usa) and would really enjoy possible 1 on 1 time (and for clarity I am a novice) again thank you so much!
@@kennethchase5679 Awesome, feel free to send me any questions you have and I'll do my best to help you out! And yes, I will have an online program, but everything is still in the works at this point. The first program I'm releasing will be for Tai Chi, so once that is up and running I can focus more on the Choy Li Fut program.
Appreciated that a westerner can
master the Chinese Kung Fu so well,
skillfully and gorgeously performs
the double broadsword in form.

Nice video! Do you recommend flexible swords or rigid ones?

@@SifuKuttel Cool! Thank you, man💪🏻
It's cool looking, but why are we opening up our entire torso at the end.
This is from the opening of a form, and there are certain standardized positions. I'm only showing the movements for enthusiasts to follow along.

Can you show the application of the snake style?
I haven't made one yet for Snake, but if I did it would be on my Patreon where I post applications.
