Bassirou Diomaye Faye, the newly appointed leader of Senegal, took office promising to rebuild the nation and implement structural reform. 44-year-old Faye is Africa's youngest elected president, having risen swiftly from political prison to the presidency. To ease the worries of Senegalese youth regarding high rates of unemployment and the influence of former colonial master France, Faye ran on a platform of eliminating corruption and strengthening the nation's management of its natural resources.
His election victory has been seen by many as an indication of the people's will and yearning for change. About Faye’s promises to rebuild the nation and implement structural reform, The United States has given the Senegalese military thirty military and regular utility vehicles. This donation is seen as a ploy by Washington to entice the new authorities in Dakar to join its ranks.

Big deal. That's nothing. How about selling Senegal enough military equipment to defend themselves without outside interference.

Give them back, there are strings attached. If this was with good intentions they would have already donated the vehicles. But in this climate of the Russians and Chinese partnering with the African nations it pushed the US to try to buy their allegiance.

Is this a US state sponsored/created channel? I wonder why Macky Sal didn’t see that solution( 30 military vehicles)! By the way why did US not offer such a needy aid to its staunch supporter Macky when he was in power? Senegal is currently not at war with any country, the main issue in Senegal is its economy yet US and this content creator have failed to notice it!

If they are keen on beefing up security they should have given Senegal military ware with fire power; not vehicles! There is no free lunch anywhere in the world. Senegal should learn from what happened to its neighbours in relation to security partnerships with the US and why they were asked to leave unconditionally.

I truely hope the president is not sidetracked in his aim to seek the best economically autonomous circumstances for his country. We know the US has an evil inhumane and parasitic history towards black peoples world wide. A history which includes contemptuous raciest support for nations involved in the exploitation of Africa and its peoples. Senegal is rich in resources but its greatest resource is it’s people who have an absolute right to benefit from those resources. This fact has never been fully appreciated by America and its European partners.considering America’s history in Senegal the Senegalese people should be more than sceptical and apprehensive about their safety in every respect. Trusting rabid blood thirsty hyenas to care for your young and vulnerable even your home is unforgivable foolishness.
