I am a Florida State fan and I appreciate your thoughtful analysis of the game. This FSU team is not last year's team and needs growth. When I watch a college football game it can be easy to forget these are young players and not professionals. I love the rah-rah, traditions and pageantry of college ball. The "unexpected" is what makes it so much fun. I was worried about Georgia Tech before the game, so I wasn't surprised by how well the team played. Congratulations to The Yellow Jackets. Sustaining the consistent positive results is what makes all sports so challenging, but as you saw last season it can be extremely enjoyable when it does come together. Absolutely zero stand out players for FSU! Zero!! This team needs to find its energy and identity. DJ became what I feared and that’s a game manager. I’d hoped that Clemson’s QB coaches weren’t good at developing a QB. I hoped that DJ didn’t have the talent at Utah St. it looks like DJ just isn’t a good QB. He can’t go past his 2nd read without panic. This ultra talented running back crew was totally shut down. They didn’t have the holes to run through. The O-line should have been a strength of the team and they were embarrassed the entire game. The defense looked lost at times and perfect at other times. The secondary should have been a great unit and they’re not. Where were the linebackers? This may be a long season to be a Nole fan. If this team doesn’t improve a bunch they won’t be going bowling this year.
The Reason FSU didnt throw downfield more is #1 they had zero confidence in their Oline giving DJU enough time to throw deeper routs. #2 it became obvious that Norvell lost confidence in DJU's accuracy on passes of 10 yards or more. Honestly, FSU looked TERRIBLE offensively and their Dline was getting pushed around. Lastly, its always great when FSU Looks like complete DOGSHIT. That being said, i was kina hoping when We played FSU this year both of us were undefeated. Bring back 5hose epic games when we were both ranked in the top 5. Oh well, FSU is WAY fucking over rated which is great and hilarious at the same time

They didn’t replace the talent that left & took a step back. Mario improved the team with the portal and were #3 in freshman snaps last season. Bad offensive line,defensive line,receivers,linebackers,DBS and qb play. The kicker was the best player on the team. Field goals only win games at the end of the game. FS💩 losses 4-5 games this season. I picked Georgia tech to win & BC beats them next week. They barely beat BC last year.
It was against N. Alabama. If you watched the game, FSU was struggling against NA in the first half (the final score doesn't really reflect that). It was Senior Night, so ofcourse, JT had to play. I question the playcall though. As for Miami, Mario hasn't really improved the team with the portal. Just because players are being grabbed from the portal, doesn't mean it's an improvement. Mario has also _lost_ a lot of players to the portal, which is not a good sign overall. He also doesn't really seem to develop players. Maybe it's because he keeps switching coordinators. Who knows. 🤔. Some of his best talent has already left the program. He also doesn't seem to have any sort of coaching philosophy, which is a concern. My prediction is, he'll be fired after year 6.
