Aah, my Icons, what a beautiful place to have a "bad day"!! Sometimes it makes you shake your head, bait fish swimming circles around you guys but, no takers on today's Shrimp Special. I suppose you could console yourselves, staring into that gin clear stunning water, or the unique colours and shapes on the scales of that wee Flounder. Maybe even just being right there, right then, in the splendor of a sunny Summer's day is more than enough to smack a smile on your face for the day. It's like "They" say (Whomever "They" are) "A Bad day Fishing beats a Good day Working" or words to that effect. I'll have to dig through a few bags in my shed to find a handful of some Aluminum Military Surplus Tent Pegs to put in with the ever expanding box of goodies that I'll be ready to send as soon as my Amazon delivery gets here!!! So exciting, I've been wanting to send you guys this stuff for a long time now, and with the news of your impending offspring it has given me the drive to see this off to you, any day now, if not sooner!!!
Not much at all to report from the wilds of Canada, been down right boring around here lately, if I do say. My Fishing buddy has been working out of town lately which is rather inconvenient (for me), as it puts the halt on any ice fishing trips. I have a couple of Walleye (Pickerel) fillets in the deep freeze and other than a box of frozen mussels I have little fish at the moment, which isn't a normal situation. A great day out fishing for some frisky little Yellow Perch for a good feed is in order! I shouldn't complain, my Friend always phones or just shows up to go fishing, or scouting for Deer or Moose etc. I don't get out as often as I'd like, but at least I do get out!! Given our age and the amount of time over the years that we've been fishing we're pretty good at picking the lake, and the area on it to find whatever swims that we have chosen to go after. So until Alberta makes it somewhat affordable to drive again and insure a vehicle, I have a really solid group of Friends that I have known since 7th grade, so over 40 yrs of getting into trouble, covering for each other, being a Wingman (when we were young single fellas) etc. Heck most of the time I don't even have to ask, it's just a natural reaction to go and get the other Friend, or Friends to have a great day out on or near the water!!!

Yes the weather has been wild here as you would have heard the wind noise in that episode we were hiding behind a huge sand dune but man it was windy!! And hasn’t stopped for weeks!
Hopefully you can get down for some water time soon mate! Whether it be on the ice or by a lake :)

Thanks mate :-) I still run the older GoPro Hero 10's but I do play a fair bit with the footage in post edit to make it look as nice as possible.

Yea mate was a very windy day hence why we couldn’t get out in the boat! Has been shocking weather here lately
