These are not Siamese kitties but Tai ones. Both breeds are of same Siamese oriental original but as breeds they are distinctively different. I am an owner of two SIA cats. As per character both breeds are identical 😊

I actually have Thaicat and Wichienmatt hashtags in the video descriptions and both Playlists have “Traditional Siamese” in the titles. Funny story…I was showing one of the videos to another fella at work one day. He said that his mom had a Siamese just like that, to which I replied “Well, technically these are Thai Cats or Wichien Maat Cats.” To which he replied, “Witchy in what?” 😹 So I spent most of our lunch break describing how they were brought to the West from Bangkok in the late 19th century. One gifted to President Hayes was actually named “Siam”. As the breed became more popular, several breeders began selecting for more pronounced features. By the 1950’s, the “wedgehead” style cats had become the most popular and were dominating the cat shows with their elegance. Some folks, however, desired the look of the original cat that was imported from Siam, so they began an effort to reimport them from the country, now called Thailand. So the original style is now the Thai Cat and the modern style is the Siamese.
After I finished my lecture, my friend asked, “If the original style cat imported in the 19th century was the "Siamese", why wouldn’t that style still be called “Siamese” and the new style have a new name?” I thought for a minute and then replied, “That’s an excellent question.” 😹😹😹 I told him most folks just stick with "Traditional Siamese" for the old-style applehead cats. He said that made more sense to him.
