This song is what first got me, so interested in this movie. The lyrics reflected the situation I suddenly found myself in, in my own life. But also sounded unique in a lot of ways. The lyrics are simple, yet hold powerful meaning. The music isn’t too repetitive like a lot of modern pop music. And changes more than the usual songs. Kind of like classical pop music I guess? The music is a mix of traditional with a modern twist. Which I appreciate. And I really enjoyed how this ain’t a traditional “I want” song. It’s more of a “I want more for them” song. This is the first Disney main lead to have a song like this one. And it’s the only Disney song that’s ever got me close to tears as well. Apart from that. It’s just upsetting how much this movie is unappreciated. I’ve never seen so many people, misunderstand a movie so badly. It deserves way more than it is getting right now.
I briefly listened to this song but I became more intrigued with the movie and then also found her rhythm really interesting so I properly listened and it’s such an incredible song. I really like that they didn’t do the cliche ending high note.
