I broke My Collar Bone on Stane Street (Ashtead) when I was a youngster. Cycling accident whilst descending a hill leading to the 30 Acre Barn. And My Significant Other’s Ashes are spread at Bankside Pier, next to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. Great location for a Cockney Thespian who lived most of her life (33-80) in Australia.
2004 . . . when TV was still good! THANKS for posting this. GREAT stuff! Alan Davies AND John Gordon Sinclair: a superb pairing of comedy/drama greats.
Very enjoyable, and funny, english film. Very surprised, and delighted, to see James Larkin in it who I haven't ever seen act and was a really good friend of an ex-boyfriend of mine back in the 80's.
What a great surprise ! Super film ! I was looking for a Jonathan Creek episode and came across this.........a much younger JC and a really refreshing film. Simple, no nonsense with great acting from Alan, John Gordon-Sinclair and Anna Chancellor. I really loved the scene where Anna karate kicked the villain, and put him in a lock on the floor. Just fabulous !
than,s for uploading this. it's so innocent and reminds me of pre covid life in Britain. The actors are really good and the dialogue is funny and believable
That's not true, 🙏 don't blame COVID. Seriously 😳 tv became CRAP 😱🤧 way before COVID. Use made the AWFUL 😞🧐🤥 things like Task master 🤢🤪....... Nine out of ten cat's, 🤬🤮🥵🍋.
Thanks for uploading what promises to be a great movie, but why did you have to screw up the aspect ratio ?? It's painful to watch everyone squished in sideways.
finding gems like this totally rolls the american obsession with vulgarity, bad soundtracks and the adoration of severely unwell humans into focus. More please, sir. 😉
Thanks for uploading this, I enjoyed it when I was a kid for whatever reason, but it's untraceable these days. I have a VHS recording of it somewhere, but I'm curious where you got it from?
Thanks, this was the original transmission I recorded with a DVD recorder, great bits of kit to this day for archiving but getting increasingly difficult to buy now.
I kept watching for the scenery. Jonathan annoyed the hell out of me and that was even before the sweat trip. But it ended up okay. Especially thanks to his friend.
hi im loved jonathan creek now got the complete box set i am trying to write my own comedy crime drama after jonathan creek inspired me to have ago but i am not sure on my main characters i know a male character is called Martin Chase but not sure on his back ground thought maybe a medium or a theitre actor who teams up with Hannah Marsh a Detective Inspector tell me what you would make Martin and what do you think of my ideas contact me ASAP please
@@douglaswilliams1979 Talk about going off at tangent with no literary compass. Best work on creative composition, spelling & grammar before you get anywhere near a publisher. Definitely don't self publish, vanity publishing is the downfall of many. Do you ever punctuate?
found this film when I was having a really terrible day, I relate to Vince, I have at least 7 unfinished screenplays and film ideas and a couple of unfinished novels that I must get on with.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?" ruclips.net/video/POO4lrTclNY/видео.html
Alan Davies "Vince" leads this tiresome trek. "Bancroft" is a teacher is duped to backpack from Chichester to London. There's talk of Samuel Pepys' diary, there's even hints of Roman Legion history, yet alas there's nothing as grand. "Vince" has researched a book for ten years, if this was the result then we've all been taken for a ride.
Cleaning the daughters nose with carcinogenic wipes , MY GOD, these are the tricks that we are taught to be normal. NOTHING UNTOWARD SAID , JOHNSON AND JOHNSON.

First class, thanks so much for posting
That was great, thank you for posting x!x
Very original :-)
Dare I say; Suspenseful!? I love it! Alan Davies is a gem!
Jonathan Creek is as funny as Rumpole of the Bailey. Alan Davies was perfect for this role. No one could do it as good!!!
No one could do it as well as he (could), I agree!!
Say what NOW 🥵🥶🤐😧 are you having a LAUGH 😂🤣.
Rumple of the Bailey is an old 😮 rather massive Guy.
Strange 😱😏
Excellent. Very entertaining. 😊

pre-covid life in Britain...you are crazy. Britain has not been innocent since before the Roman invasion.
That's not true, 🙏 don't blame COVID.
Seriously 😳 tv became CRAP 😱🤧 way before COVID.
Use made the AWFUL 😞🧐🤥 things like Task master 🤢🤪.......
Nine out of ten cat's, 🤬🤮🥵🍋.
I love it when Alan says 'do you ever just want to - stop - thinking. Just be'.
Loved it! Utterly charming!
I really enjoyed it. A good story.
Lovely ..just lovely
Loved this.

Interesting and unusual. Enjoyed it.
Yes, count me in! We miss such films.
Very enjoyable 👍👍
THANK YOU! This American loves "ANYTHING ALAN DAVIES"
finding gems like this totally rolls the american obsession with vulgarity, bad soundtracks and the adoration of severely unwell humans into focus. More please, sir. 😉
The soundtrack to this film reminds me of Spiro the Dragon.
He left his bicycle at Matt's house. Ho hum.
Good movie. Thank you
So well acted, especially John Gordon Sinclair.
Time well spent
Thanks

I think Alan Davies is great in this
It has a very good theme
What are they doing walking on the wrong side of a busy road?!!
found this film when I was having a really terrible day, I relate to Vince, I have at least 7 unfinished screenplays and film ideas and a couple of unfinished novels that I must get on with.
Brilliant

You're commenting on the wrong programme.
Yes I loved it to, thanks.
I expected more... not much of the Roman road's scenery.
Fantastic
Excitement factor: 0
Great film! Very English...thanks 👌

Well, if we have been taken for a ride, it was a most enjoyable ride.
Cleaning the daughters nose with carcinogenic wipes , MY GOD, these are the tricks that we are taught to be normal. NOTHING UNTOWARD SAID , JOHNSON AND JOHNSON.
Surrey farmers unfairly portrayed, not.😂
Who needs enemies with a "friend" like that? I mean really? Who wrote the part of that sh*t Vince?
I love you alan
Funny to the very end! Sad too. British, what.
davies is a leftie luvvie--
Bloody good that
That was 😃👍🏼
inoffensive, but basically pointless
Davies is a good'ish' actor but the subject is vile
Bit of a crack up this movie…..
