Split pea soup is such an underrated soup! I wish more people would give it a try - it's so good!

@The Country Cook Yes it is. My grandmother used to make it when I was a little girl. Even as a somewhat finiky eater I loved my grandmother's pea soup. Then later my mother made it too.
Mine, from 3:00am this morning, turned out delicious. It has the best flavor and is rich and creamy. I'm now in the process of giving about half of it away because there are many takers...in the best way! Thanks for sharing.
