He was a philosopher from South Africa, who had a world view from the eyes of the South.. he shared some interesting information about the connection between African Americans and Africans from the south and many more like the history of how human being got their voice and started talking... before he died, he had interviews on RUclips too. Now I'm just wondering if there are any notable buddhist interactions in Africa. Maybe not dedicated communities (though if you said there was one I'd probably believe you, Africa's a big place) but even just notable singular Buddhist africans or interactions between Buddhist and native African peoples. Though it might be more likely to think that Afro-descended peoples are more connected to buddhists in like, the Carribean where a lot of Afro-folks and indentured Indians interacted through the nation's history.
An interesting mix of not often connected groups, I suppose.

That’s nationalist revisionism. Buddhism originated in India and is indigenous to India. Any similarities it might have with Egyptian religion are coincidence.
And there is hardly any similarities at all. Egyptian religion was very optimistic for example and it emphasized the enjoyment of life and the pursuit of the continued enjoyment of life in the field of reeds. Buddhism emphasizes a more neutral and sometimes even pessimistic view of life and places more emphasis on suffering and the transcendence of suffering. The goal is Nirvana which is a divine state of incomprehensible bliss, not any existence in some type of ancestral paradise. The Egyptian religion had a dualistic understanding of order and chaos while Indian traditions believed that there is no such thing as chaos.

Archeological finds in Modern day Turkey and evidence of industrial iron weapons production and trade to central asia has been found. More than likely, the use of iron weapons is what helped the Hittites hold off the Egyptian army during the battle of Kadesh. So, the question is....who taught who the smelting the high grade iron/ steel.
BTW, the Hittites had the advantage of the a windy elevated terrain. They harnessed that high wind to help fuel the iron furnaces (i.e. less manual labor).

Wishful thinking about the Buddha having 'Indo-Aryan ethnicity' (Neanderthal genes aka Asian Steppe land genes), as the earliest and 'most revered' depictions of him in India, SE Asia, and China UNIFORMLY PORTRAY HIM AS BLACK SKINNED AND FULL-FEATURED.
You also have it twisted relating to 'Buddhism' reaching Kemit (and Kush) during the time of Ashoka the Great. Some 'experts' pontificate that 'Buddhism' reached Kemit (and Kush) during the reign of Ashoka the Great who 'Served' from 268 to 232 BCE.
However, as stated in this video, Egyptologist Flinders Petrie found evidence of Buddhists dating back to the Persian period of Egypt (c. 525-405 BCE), or 200-250 YEARS BEFORE ASHOKA WAS BORN. (W. M. Flinders Petrie, The peoples of the Persian Empire, Man [1908] No.71:pp.129-130.)
I have collected 'little mentioned evidence' that 'Buddhists', or precisely "Practitioners of the Uddha", were in Kemit and Kush LONG BEFORE the Persian Period, and even LONG BEFORE the person known as 'the Buddha' (Siddhartha Gautama) was BORN, c.550 BCE. The Buddha relayed on multiple occasions that he was 'spiritually descended' from a 'very long line' of Buddhas.
Numerous examples of Lapis Lazuli and other artifacts that originated in Indus Kush have been found in Kemit dating from the 'early Old Kingdom', c 3200 BCE and probably earlier. I have also posted several photos of three 'Kemitic style' statues and 'precision cut'
stonework that was found at the Indus Kush city, 'aptly renamed', by the genocidal Aryan-Hindu invaders as 'Mohendro Daro' [Mound of the Dead]. Photos of these artifacts, with links to related articles, can be found on my Boards; "India Black - Indus Kush I" and "Kemit - Zep Tepy - the First Time".
Michael Rice in his book "Egypt in the Making" writes, "Lapis is, literally, one of the touchstones of early civilizations. It was found in large quantities in the cities of Sumer whose people valued it highly. It is found extensively in Egypt. Lapis appears in Egypt from LATE IN THE FOURTH MILLENNIUM."
After the Aryan/Hindu invasions around 2000 BCE, Monehdro Daro (and other Indus Kush cities) remained 'uninhabited' for 1500 years, until the 'legendary' Chandragupta Maurya (327-295 BCE), 'subdued' (200,000 killed) the Aryan/Hindus and Alexander of Macedon's mercenaries, and united India, FOR THE FIRST TIME, since the fall of Indus Kush to the Aryans/Hindus, almost 1500 years earlier.
Justinian describes the story of the liberation of India as follows; "India after the death of Alexander, the natives had shaken the yoke of servitude from its neck and put his governors to death. The author of this liberation was Sandrocottus (Chandragupta)". (More info on my Board; "India Black - Indus Kush II")
During this period the Kemites were unable to shake off the yoke of servitude instituted by Alexander's general in Kemit, Ptolemy I, although they rebelled a number of times. (The "Rosetta Stone" describes one such rebellion from the view of a murderous barbarian and wannabe pharaoh, Ptolemy V.)
However, the Southern Kemites and Blemmyaes [Kushites who 'Practiced the Uddha' and fought alongside the Maurya to liberate India], did regain control of large areas of Upper Kemit for almost 200 years. (More about this another time or check my Boards; "Kush" and/or "Kemit - Hyskos 4th Intermediate Period".)
Chandragupta Maurya's grandson, the 'legendary' Ashoka the Great, built Buddhist Stupas atop Mohenjo Daro and other Indus Kush sites, 'in veneration and commemoration' to the people of 'Mel-Uddha', the land of the Anointed Ones, where EVERYONE WAS A BU-UDDHA.
H.G. Wells wrote in his book 'The Outline of History' about Ashoka the Great; "Amidst the tens of thousands of names of monarchs that crowd the columns of history...the name of Ashoka shines, and shines, almost alone, a star". (Check my Boards; "India Black - Indus Kush II" and "Megaliths of the Previous Worldwide Civilization", for excellent examples of the branch of the "Kemitic Sacred Science" called "Stone Moulding" that were 'raised' during the Maurya Dynasty, particularly during the 'Service' of Ashoka the Great. In this case, I agree with H.G. Wells, that the Maurya Dynasty is arguably INDIA'S GREATEST DYNASTY.
The 'teachings' attributed to "the Buddha" which is a 'title', not a 'proper name', and means the 'One Anointed' (Bu-Uddha), are 'directly descended' from the 'Anointed Ones' of "Indus Kush" (aka Mel-Uddha - Land of the Anointed Ones), incorrectly translated by the Akkadians/Assyrians as "Mel-uhha" and by 'modern experts' as the 'Indus Valley Civilization'.
Their 'Interpretation of Civilization', which existed for 5600 years, WITHOUT GODS, KINGS, ELITES, OR WARFARE, 'WAS REBUILT' around 7600 BCE (check my Board; India Black - Indus Kush I or Google 'Rakhigarhi'), and thrived until the 'Aryan-Hindu invasions' which began around 2000 BCE, when the descendants moved south and those who remained were forced into the Aryan/Hindu caste system, the oldest surviving White Supremacist System on Earth. (check my Boards; "India Black - Indus Kush I" and "India Aryan/Hindu 2nd Genocide After the Flood")
The 'Primordial Organizing Principle', practiced by ALL MEMBERS OF THE "PREVIOUS WORLDWIDE CIVILIZATION", including Indus Kush is "Collective Empathy for All Spirits based on Expanded Perception of the One Law (or Law of One)".
Some of the surviving 'Ethical Systems' based on Collective Empathy include; Maat - transmitted by the "Anu from the Sah" (aka Constellation of Heru, Orion's Belt), Ubuntu - transmitted by the Nommo from Ptolo (Sah), Mwiri - transmitted by the Anu-Twa, Sah-zi - transmitted by Anu-Sah-zi (Anasazi), and Uddha - transmitted by the Bu-Uddha, but descended from Indus Kush and relayed to them by 'Advanced Beings' (not gods) called 'Anu from the Sah' (this includes other peoples and civilizations with "Anu" used in their names and/or deities, like Sumer whose primary deities were 'Anu and Anu-et', the Ka-Anu (Canaan), the Min-Anu (Minoan). The Hopi (along with Zuni, Yuma, Pima, Ute, Tarahumara, Miwok, and others), ARE DIRECT DESCENDANTS of the "Anu-Sah-zi" (Anasazi), state they were saved from the destruction of the 'Previous World' by 'little people named Anu'.
The women belonging to Kemit's 'largest and oldest priesthood', the "Het Heru" (Vessel of Heru, aka 7 Hathors) Priesthood, which included ALL of Kemits' "Great Royal Queens", were also recorded as the "Ladies of Anu" and their 'Temple Island' was called "Anu-et" (Greeks renamed it 'Dendera').
The Hopi, like the Kemites, Olmec, Maya, Khmer, Silla, Hongshan, Shang, Joman, Mound Builders, and others, also aligned their 'Temple Cities' to stars in the Sah (Constellation of Heru, Orion's Belt).
For more information about the TRUE SPIRIT AND HISTORY OF Kemit, Indus Kush, Sumer, and the other 'Members of the Previous Worldwide Civilization', the 'Next Level of Civilization', Collective Empathy, Sacred Science, Perception Expansion, Stone Moulding, 'The Bu-Uddha' and other Bu-Uddhas, Plant, Animal, and Mineral Energetics, and much more, all humbly offered WITHOUT THE FILTERS OF, Supremacist, Patriarchal, Religious and 'Mad Scientist' bias, check my Boards on Pinterest @ Asar Kush

As everyone on the planet who is NOT an UNMIXED African (Homo Sapien) has Neanderthal genes in ratios between 1-2.45% (or 2-8% including noncoding genes). The Pali form of Kamboja is Ambattha and in the Ambattha sutta we read of that terrible dark skin degradation that pervaded India. The sutta says the baby Kanha ( Krishna) asked his mom why his skin was dirty at birth. This parallels the Aesop ( Ethiop) fable titled Washing the Indian White, or Washing the Ethiopian White. The Buddha was cousins how Kanha won the game of India and obtained magical powers ( iddhi) before marrying the daughter of king Okkakas (Greek Ogyges)

You absolute fool, Buddha WAS INDO ARYAN. He uses INDOARYAN TERMINOLOGY he belongs to the SAKYA CLAN OF SURYAVANSHIS like other famous ancient Indian warriors (Lord Rama etc). The indus valley fell from climate change not aryan invasions not to mention that modern day hinduism, ancient hinduism AND BUDDHISM AS SPOKEN BY BUDDHA HIMSELF SPEAKS OF INDOARYAN GODS! and is a product of MIXING between indoaryan religion, tribal religion and very likely harrapan certainly on a cultural level, as are INDIAN PEOPLE.
Lastly Ashoka built stupas EVERYWHERE IN INDIA not just the indus valley smh.
Oh and those depictions of Buddha? That's WHAT INDIANS LOOK LIKE and we're made centuries AFTER BUDDHA LIVED. You can see the same features in other statues of Hindu Gods(including aryan gods) and ancient Hindu figures including kings as well smh.

Do you mean the marble statue of Buddha who's facial features are nothing like white European. Strangely he resembles an Asian man because that's what he was

    • @haroldmorris5901
      @haroldmorris5901 3 года назад +1

@@UICeinnselaig The statue looks like a Homo Sapien/Neanderthal hybrid to me. Be it a Han or European version, doesn't really matter, as some Han carry more Neanderthal genes on chromosomes 3 and 7 than the 'whitest' European. What matters is the fact that Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha) was a Homo Sapien who, like the people of Indus Kush, didn't carry any Neanderthal genes. That is why the earliest and most revered depictions of him 'uniformly portray' him as BLACK SKINNED WITH FULL FEATURES. As there are 10's of thousands of murals and statues depicting him as he actually looked, 'wannabe supremacists' will have a much harder time 'whitewashing' him, EVEN WITH THE HELP OF SOME BLACK PEOPLE.
