The other important fact slipping under the radar, is the entire motivation for the event; Anchorage is not weird or dismissively childish for calling the Commander 'Teacher' and such. It's likely she, though unaware of it, knows what we originally 'were' when with Anzeel in whatever Original worldline it was, and thus feels safe by clinging to it. So all the headpats for this angel. As for the *how* the unknown data was in her Hull all this time I dunno. Was it Helena and Memphis META? Was it the Tower?
Her drawing is also a big clue. She drawed us, the commander, with some other "unknown" figures. She said that they are the commander's friends. But in the commander's eyes, both are pictured as a black blob that make him feels REALLY uneasy and it triggered some abnormality to the Reality Lens. It just like they are some memories that were redacted from our memory and when Anchorage showed us the picture, some kind of censorship happened in our brain to keep the memory from resurface. I think they are supposed to be Anseel and Aoste and their data are somehow deleted and tagged as taboo in our brain. The question now is, who did it to us? The navy HQ is really sus ngl.
That is a good question! Hopefully we'll have some answers on that at some point as well.
It is implied that Anzeel put some sort of message alongside a backup of her work on what I assume was Anchorage’s cube. Hence why we find Recorder, the AI that looks like Anzeel, in what’s basically Anchorage’s subconscious.
My guess is that the Laffey II dream we saw when the commander first “woke up” after escaping The Tower, was part of the simulation Recorder was protecting.
The data in her hull could just be a message in a bottle type of situation. Information scattered among many hulls to slip past whoever may try to find the original message. Its just we've only found 1 sliver of this information hidden in Anchorage's hull, my guess there's other ships who have anomalies hidden in their hulls that could carry more information. Its like a code hidden under layers of code. Its only when something happens that the failsafe gets activated.
God I loved this event. Definitely one of my favorites.
On the subject of Vestal META, Arizona META mentions her as well in her stranger affinity line: "Would you mind keeping a safe distance from me? Oh, no, I'm not trying to push you away. "Our" Vestal warned that something terrible will happen if you don't..."
I was just about to make a comment that Arizona META makes a mention of "'our' Vestal", which METAs use that term to refer to other METAs.
"Our". So, we've had a hint towards a Vestal META for a little bit.
and now i am thinking , 4 years of close non-stop azur lane and i retire before the biggest loredump of the game to join griffin .... ack
You forgot the most important plot of them all!
*I hug Memphis*
I left that on her character page.
I just love how Dr Anzeel is a fellow degen as good amount of the AL community, wouldn't be surprised it was her that some of the shipgirls were mega thicc or cute and funny.
Anzeel was supposedly a self insert of Manjuu's CEO, and considering what Intern-kun said at the first anniversary, it's no surprise thaf she's also a degen :D
Her going full on "squee" on Devil XV was pure comedic gold...
Aoste is also a degen.
@@kneeofjustice9619 white hair fetish confirmed!
@@kneeofjustice9619 Now now, he just has a white hair fetish...
Actually, now that I think of the figures of the Sirens, I guess he might be a degen after all.
Fun fact, there is a lot of speculation that Dr. Aoste (オースタ) represents Yostar and Dr. Anzeel (アンジュ) represents Manjuu.
So manjuu CEO a girl is not coincidence
Hmm, well as for our current Sirens showing more personality. Since this event was only about their creation, we still have no idea how much time has passed for them compared to where we are at, in the "current" day. Or if more changes were made to their programing later, or even if they have the ability to alter it themselves.
Especially since we don't actually know the current status of Dr. Aoste. I believe Dr. Anzeel was stated to have died in 'Khorovod of Dawn's Rime' But we still have no idea what happened to Aoste.
AL still feeding us the lore, one scrap at a time :)
it truly does make me wonder, cause by this point it's shown that each Siren has their own Personality, feelings, ideas, and personal goals, and now we know they where made with these "energy Cubes". it's each mainframe that concerns me, as it's been shown that each Mainframe is in it's own little space and getting there requires a lot of power and knowledge of where to look, but the question I keep coming back to is this, "if the Sirens where meant to take over for the KAN-SEN, or where meant to work and fight along side them...what is the major threat both Dr's where preparing for?" cause this event showed us that there was still peace between the factions, it just makes me wonder, what is the bigger threat the Dr's wanted to prepare for?
I wouldn't say peace...BHR was during a "cold war"-like era...so peace...might have just been on appearances...
@@Hawk2zer0 it's fully possible
@@thievescamp During shinano's event we see in one of the dreams that huge beast with a distorted appearance, all dark and floating above the ocean. Maybe those are an issue down the road? Leviathan i think they are called. A fleet has a hard time with a single arbiter and sometimes breaks even with enforcers gameplay wise so i think they are being strengthened and prepared for when those things find their way in the reality.
@@randomyoutubecommentersecu7639 apparently the sirens are designed to fight aliens so that might also be the threat we are facing
@@Hawk2zer0 this is very true considering that during Abyssal Refrain the girls accompanying Khron are surprised when BHR states to not let people know where they're from. An encroachment on another's soil would be grounds for a cold war to go hot, implying that like our world, the Federation (the UN) is in some kind of spy war stalemate with whatever the Northern Parlament turns into to equate the Warsaw Pact. Meaning that with the finale of Rondo at Rainbow's End we may be seeing the start of lines being drawn for the AL Cold War despite not reaching that point quite yet.
I really enjoyed this event. I’ve looked into name-sharing ships of WWII, and we have USS Helena, a Baltimore class cruiser built after the original Helena was sunk at the battle of Kula gulf. We have USS Lexington of course, and USS Juneau, the Juneau class cruiser. IJN Amagi was a carrier of the Unryu class like Katsuragi, so she having been built means she can and will appear in Azur lane, but the IRL Amagi II, after surviving the war, was eventually scrapped in the 50’s I think.
Edit: I was corrected that the second Helena is a Baltimore class, and the original was Brooklyn class
Holy crap, I never made the connection between the second Amagi and the “vengeance ships” being used to revive Yorktown. It means that Akagi now has a way to bring Amagi back. Though it should be noted that Amagi II didn’t survive the war; she was sunk in the bombing of Kure and scrapped with the others in 1946-47
@@sirboomsalot4902 yeah!
We could have a second Houston, Chicago, or Quincy. Ark Royal II could also be a possibility.
The way i understand the sirens is that the "mainframe" and body of the siren sync their data(memories) at all time, so once a siren loses their body the "mainframe" uploads that sirens memory in a new body.
The "mainframe" only houses the memories on the siren in that branch and only Zero has access to them, this as talked about in the vanguard? event where several sirens talk about the whole timeline stuff and what would happen to them if their branch shut down.
Ah yes my favorite event even beating Khorovod of Dawn’s Rime and Tower of Transcendence. Dr. Anzeel and Yorktown were really the highlight women of this event with me. Yorktown coming back at the end gave me a heart rumble💓. But I really want more of Dr. Anzeel 🤤.
It was a huge reveal that Sirens were developed against some sort of unknown X. Shipgirls even mentioned exeecise scenario looking like Alien Invasion. Considering overall time travel theme, and that both Doctors seem to be types to mess with the past to save future... This probably means in the OTL, X won, and Antiochus time travel to try and " beat up into shape" shipgirls, so they can defeat X. Hence all the Evolution talk by Sirens...
I don't think it's an unknown X that they were developed for. BHR was not "berserk" yet around the time they were developed. I think they became the defense force once things went downhill after BHR's incident.
In the event EX map, it's introduction says, "Mankind's ambition to become as gods can result in only two things - successful ascension to divinity, or demise at the hands of the creations they made to this end." which contains several implications and reinforces other theories on what might have happened in the original timeline.
The latter is where I believe things were/are going.
But isn't the real threat 'The Leviathans' or so I hear? And they seem to be alien in nature/not from earth.
So does that imply that the Leviathans are man made? Or that the Siren(Antioch us)/Kan-sen that would destroy humanity?
@@ariel3526 yes
Great video! As for any questions I have, I'm still curious about Aoste and Anzeel in THIS branch/timeline, if they're alive or even exist within it.
Back in Chapter 22 of "Tower of Transcendence", Ulrich talks to META Scharnhorst about what the Ashes are really after. Ulrich asks, "Searching for what? A way to stop or disrupt the Sirens' plan?", with META Scharnhorst responding: "'For who?' is the question. The answer is the two people who created the Sirens' plan - the Creator, and the Magister. The thing is, it's impossible. We've reverse-engineered their branch-jumping technology and explored countless pasts, only to find despair. The Creator and the Magister don't exist in any of the pasts we can travel to. Maybe they're in a past inaccessible to us, or they're in a future we can't get reach with Siren tech... Whatever the case, we're at an impasse."
However, our timeline seems to be unique because of...us, the Commander. Now, that doesn't seem to indicate that Anzeel or Aoste are dead or don't exist, but what do you think? Could HQ be hiding them from us, or have we just yet to actually meet them in this branch?
Both definitely exist. Or at least, EXISTED. Without them, Shipgirls and Siren won't exist after all. Next, The AI called Recorder is difinitely one of Anseel's creation. Her appearance is basically her copy after all lol. The only question now is, whether they are still alive or not. I think they are already dead, but who knows?
It was unique for multiple reasons. The Commander is one of them, but it was also hidden from external view...the Ashes comment on that back in Ashen Simulacrum. I believe our current event rerun gives some answers to this (I believe Anzeel was "eliminated", but Aoste's status is not fully known).
@@Hawk2zer0 NOOO, I WANT TO SAVE ANZEEL! I mean, I can get why from a story perspective, but still.
One point that was waved away - at least to me: All this started because we wanted to fix the abnormal data in Anchorage's Hull. One of the last scenes said that all that data was gone...so. IS ANCHORAGE OK?
There really wasn't much to go off of with Anchorage. The point was there, but she had such little involvement in the story...and even very little contributions to what we learned. There's still the mysteries around her, but there's nothing we can work with currently.
If i recollect correctly, first question SKK asked after waking up was "is Anchorage ok?" And the Vestal answers "yes"
This event was seriously so much fun to play through and enjoy. The designs of the II ships are really cool, and the final cutscene of the event really tugged at my heart strings. This event feels like a big stepping stone for the over all story moving forward, so I'm super excited to see what happens next.
At this point, Yostar will most likely announce Queen Elizabeth II before QE Retrofit.
Even QE2 diesel flattop wouldn't be guaran-damn-teed, but Ark Royal II (Irresistible of the Audacious-class), Hermes II (INS Viraat of the Centaur-class) and both Hardy II and Grenville II (S- to W-class DDs of 1943-1944) will be.
Now i will be waiting for your opinion on the new operation siren files, like i commented before will realy like to ear from you the implications that something like the META phenomenon or just Bon Homme Richard ability, being able to affect humans making them realy violent while having a mental breakdown. Theres other informations too about the after incident of Bon Homme Richard.
Funny that you mention Khorovod of Dawn's Rime since it's the event that currently rerunning
Funny (or more likely planned) that the event was referenced in this event.
....Wasn't Jean Bart confirmed to have survived in Oratorio?
Somebody saved her from sinking, so she 'should' be fine?
...And I want Laffey II!
Oh, as far as Purity was concerned... Wasn't she left alone to be used for running experiments and that she can't exactly run as free as she'd like?
She did survive, but if you read the start of that event...it's not like she's in the best shape either...what matters for her is the extent of her damage.
As for Purity, there's a running theory that some of the sirens are disconnected by their unique nature.
Dr. Anzeel
"The Creator"
Or
"Smart Zuikaku"
You explaining Azur Lane lore is soooo good!
What did Anchorage know? She seemed to sense danger but I wasn't sure how. Must keep adorable Anchorage safe!
Not sure what is the threat but since the commander saw something in the mist of the darkness it makes me just as concerned for Anchorage as much as for him, damn sirens always find their way into anywhere
But it was also said that a LOT of cube resonance could fully restore their prime cube. And the commander is basically a walking resonance generator.
My memory is a little hazy, but when Purity went back to the Sirens she was reset to default (although some trace remained?). So while I guess they could immediately shut it down, they didn't maybe because she was disconnected and she was "erased" when she reconnected. Also didn't it imply they could control more than one body at the same time?
On the note of jean bart, she was historically raised and re-fitted. So she “should” be saved at some point in the future. On the topic of amagi…. Sigh…. I dont think there is much hope to bring her back into the lore… unless she too went meta somehow…
There is the Unryuu variation of her...maybe that's what happens...I'm not sure.
Even if Jean Bart was historically refitted, what matters is the damage done. Until there's a way to reverse that kind of thing...it's not a pretty thing.
A very important question I've seen no one ask is what ironblood was originally like in the original time line assuming they even existed at that point as something more that east and west Germany.
The lore has said several times that the use of siren tech in ship girls results in living rigs.
The problem is that both ship girls and sirens come from eagle union thus the tech ironblood would need to make there rigs simply wouldn't exist for them.
It's a strange thing to think about an ironblood with normal rigging.
what's funny about this is that "siren tech" is also "human tech"...they've already failed this principle...since they themselves are technically of that caliber of technology. I look at it more of which factions are more involved in researching the sirens and actually doing something with what they learn.
Ironblood did that for a long time, but Northern Parliament also dipped their feet into that as well (you can see by the rigging differences). They did that back before Azur Lane was a group...of course..the Sirens didn't like that...and beat them up for it.
@@Hawk2zer0
Its still strange. Put simply if it was only the technologic thing the eu II ship girls would look more like ironblood ship girls.
It may be possible that these living rigs are actually using technology from siren vessels adapted for use on a ship girl.
I will still call it siren tech because it makes it easier to understand that in talking about technology that wasn't developed by the timeline independently.
If you talking about the og timeline where aoste and anzeel exist, then is the same has the real world, iron blood (germany) in the cold war was divided in two, so i dont expect alot of research from them.
Everything that happended in our world the ww1 and ww2 wars, happened the same, the differences begins with the introduction of cube teck, probably somewhere in the middle of the cold war since we had nuclear carriers already in play.
So if you want to know how the iron blood where just look at germany during that period.
The timeline we play on is a ww2 war with cube teck, something that in the og came much later so of course we will have iron blood shipgirls in our timeline, germany had naval power during ww2.
@@Zergling. still doesn't explain why ironblood rigs look the way they do considering almost all the ship girl and siren tech came from the og timeline EU and why despite that og EU girls rigging look normal.
@@ProjectAtlasmodling Well first about this part, "...almost all the ship girl and siren tech came from the og timeline..." yes that is correct the teck did come from the og timeline (sirens brought it) BUT the riggings did not, because there where no iron blood ships in the OG to compare to in the case of iron blood, can say the same for other nations ships if they did not exist in the OG time.
If you looking for a answer of why the iron blood rigs look the way they do (like sharks), your guess is as good as mine dont remember if it was ever explained in the lore.
Being EU or not in my opinion is not realy important all girls rigs have some differences between each faction, we dont realy know why sakura girls for example have animal ears or tails, or that the french ships look very religious, we make assumptions based on the country but in the end is just a way to more ez describe each faction.
Theres not exist a normal rigging in my view.
So what do you make of this event, along with what Kirov said in Khorovod about shipgirls and Wisdom Cubes appearing at roughly the same time? Does that imply that KAN-SEN in this timeline weren't developed by "The Creator"? And perhaps that's why the Ashes can never find her or "The Magister" in alternate branches?
There was always the theory that the sirens gave humanity in our timeline the cubes...leading to both of them being "around at the same time".
I do wonder what exactly is this threat or crisis they were facing that caused all of this
Sirens seemed to be friendly with the kan-sen in this timeline but now not only are they against us, they're also...experimenting on the timelines
Also the META ships are going high and low to try and find Anzeel and Aoste, what did they do that made META ships go through everything to find them...?
In the lore of Khorovod event, Anzeel said "...Even after you “betrayed” us, I still believe we see things eye-to-eye." to Aoste so did Aoste do something that was...too dangerous? Messed around with the antiochus that it caused them to backfire against them and that's why sirens are all how they are now? Was that the big threat?
Also, is Bon Homme Richard involved in this and if so, was it her own doing or...theirs? After all, she's a unique case of a META shipgirl we know without a kan-sen variant (so far). Was she the first META? Did she become it on her own violation, maybe to become more powerful after seeing what sirens can do? Or was she...experimented on as a hybrid and it backfired, becoming this big threat that enjoys leading shipgirls into metamorphosis as...revenge?
So many questions...
BHR I believe snapped because of the situation she was in...which to a degree places blame on humanity....but we'll have to see.
Khorovod does a good job at lore bombing us here. With it rerunning, that probably helps clear up some of the "flashbacks"
Regular BHM does exist in a few CGs, its only her shipgirl sprite thats only available in META form.
Might have been my favorite event of the year, basically everything was great from the characters to the lore and everything. Really neat and thanks a ton for the lore breakdown, I really love watching these.
does thus recap the livestream to? For the lore points you adressed there?
it's not a recap of everything, it just covers the major points.
I am qutie confused regarding the timeline. We were told that the kan-sen were made when humanity was losing war against Sirens. But here they are developed alongside them. Also this doesn't seem like the past of our reality, but a different reality that is ahead of ours. But how is it than possible for our charakter to be their coworker. I am kinda lost in the paralel worlds and different times stuff.
I think the most simple explanation might be the right answer here; that the story that the Kan-sen were made to counter the Sirens was just propaganda/a cover up
@@sirboomsalot4902 Or maybe that is indeed true in OUR timeline. That Kansen waa made to counter Siren HERE. The main timeline is just another one of the Siren's simulation and not the original timeline, so it's possible that the script the sirens put here is just "Siren invades, make Kansens, done"
In our timeline, that's how it went down...in the OG timeline (the one this story is showing), it's not the case. Both of these statements are true, but it just depends on which timeline we're in.
@@Hawk2zer0 So in the event we saw OG timeline from which all other timelines in Azur lane sprung from. That seems like a good theory. I am looking forward to expalanation of how our character ended up where he is, becouse it seems he used to be in the OG timeline with the Aoste and Anzeel. He even remembered some of the final moments in Khorovod of Dawn's Rime.
Yeah considering Bismarck's black cube was used to set off the cordite propellant in the aft 4" magazine which cooks off the aft 15" magazines, Hood's injuries Hawk, are going to be due to shrapnel from her Admiral Class Battlecruiser rigging as it breaks up and the black cube acts like an infection which if the infection is cured, the injuries would heal over time
Two questions: 1) Now that the Commander knows the origins of the Kan-Sens, Sirens and the Arbiters, will this change anything on his overall perspective of the conflict or will it stay the same, but now with extensive knowledge on a lot, if not everything? and 2) What are the other Sirens up to? Not including the Ryza event nor the Arbiters in this event, ever since the defeat of Complier, the other major Sirens( Tester, the Observers and Purifier) have been very quiet and it's very sus.
PS. I asked the second question on the Livestream, but not sure if I got an answer.
1) Probably not? Might be hard to convince a lot of people tbh.
2) I don't think we fully know everything yet, but seems likely to be trying to save humanity from the very things that happened in the OG timeline (BHR, Leviathans)...more than likely by training Kan-sen and making them stronger.
@@Hawk2zer0 Thanks for answering. The lore, the event and your Livestream was enjoyable. Can't wait for more.
Purifier/Purity seems to be gone rogue and having own little war with Observer. I want to see her joining SKK so much...
I have a question...What about Bismarck? In Rondo at Rainbow end we hear her giving orders to the Iron Blood to attack the Sirens, so she is back....somehow, and even Friderich Der Grobe said that she survive her METAmorphosis, but that means she got a Retrofit? Got a Type II?
She can’t have a Type II due to the fact that no other ships have been named Bismarck since her. I think it’s been said she came back the same way Hood did
@@sirboomsalot4902 I see....but how both came back? I mean...Bismarck was rescue by U-556....and after that she was recovering on the Iron Blood base? And that apply to Hood too?
@@sirboomsalot4902 just use an h 39 hull but i would prefer a retro
This was very insightful as I never really noticed those things. But one thing I still wondering about is who tf is Bon Homme Richards? I would assume you can't pull her but her design would make me think she's somehow connected to the META ships. Like she's very similar to code G who looks like Enterprise but isn't her Meta.
Bon Homme Richard is Meta. What what we can tell, she was an eagle around the time of this particular event. However, something happened that caused her to become the way she is now (Known as the Bon Homme Richard Incident). Currently, she's one of the game's antagonists...probably the most dangerous one here.
We also have confirmation of Yorktown META in this event
Yorktown META was confirmed a while back...Mirror Involution (New Jersey event) confirmed her.
Btw, which event or time did the attempt by the METAs to defeat the arbiters(The part referenced by richard's riddle) happen?
Pledge of the Radiant Court
Anzeel is SUPER CUTE! Definately a waifu material.
Purity is like agent Smith hit with a waifunizing beam.
Sirens did nothing wrong...? Pretty sure they will join the harem at some point. I mean azur lane!
My thought on finding a way to cure damaged shipgirls, was "huh, so thats how IB brought Bisko back".
6:10 What happens to Hood in Pledge of the Radiant Court is probably a case of septicemia or blood poisoning as the black cube infection into her war wounds
feeling dizzy or faint is a symptom of septicemia
Bismarck also stated
"It is more than a weapon... It concerns the mental cubes that gave birth to each and every one of us. Use it improperly, and you will be swallowed whole." (Chapter 32 - Skybound Oratorio)
It could be slowly eating away at her...we don't know the full extent of it.
@@Hawk2zer0 Yeah but given there was an explosion, shrapnel injuries are inevitable
the devs will never show a character with metal having pierced them
To be fair Amagi irl did set sail in WWII as a CV named after the scrapped ship. It's a similar case with all the current II ships
Awh i wish you could have told more about that secret chapter 35 and what happens there bcs i'm totally lost with this whole "i had a dream" and Yorktown II saying "Enterprise i'm back". Is Yorktown II real there? Is she the original one but saved? And why does she say that "real sunlight isn't that much different from the one in the Reality Lense". Od maybe this is the one created by Lense but brought to life? But Hornet says to Enterprise to check out her new rigging.. omg i'm totally lost >.
There wasn't too much I could really add from it to the current video...it was more of a sentimental moment than one that added anything lore-wise.
As for the her comments, it makes me believe that the memories of that II version carried into the current Yorktown. She still remembers the past, but also has the memories and everything of the Yorktown II

So much learned yet still so much that makes little sense. And you're right she does look like Koboyashi.
After this event I have even stronger feeling that AL happens on another side of the first Alpha-portal. I'm legitimately scared of how well Perimeter lore compliments AL lore (because it didn't end well there).
P.S. Craziest part of it is that I don't think anyone Manjuu know about existing of Perimeter.
Im late. But....okay. So technically the OG timeline had something or some being utterly destroy the world. So the sirens (and some of the meta) were spread out into multiple timelines in the past. Some failed. Some worlds were completely destroyed by their own creations. Etc etc.
So what exactly is the sirens end goal? Or is their mainfame becoming corrupted and that is the real threat they faced in the original timeline??? (We all know messing with AI never ends well) Or is it possible for some of the sirens to potentially become rogue units, in which the mainframe potentially loses control over?(i swear this reminds me of terminator. And a bunch of other games that follows a similar plot).
If none of the above, are they allies or a nuetral faction?
yeah, considering Friedrich summon "dead" ship from WW1 during Rondo at Rainbow's end event, if anyone else who have figure out type 2 rigging, it would be the Iron Bloods... since all the faction are now working together once again, it might be the reason Yorktown 2 and the rest of the type 2 rigger shipgirls able to return...
She can rezz Maine (the BB who suffered from an internal explosion, not external sabotage in 1898) if she wants to.
Yeah i treat the new lore as what we have as an introductory set up
2 points that I think you didn't really cover in all that much detail with this, or at all(though maybe they were covered in the livestream? Meh):
Shinano's chimes play during the scene where laffey 2 appeared, and again when the scene cut back to reality. Does that mean Shinano's dreams are not in fact dreams, but replaying files and data from the Natural Calculation System, or her hull data(given that the WW2 reenactment couldn't have come from anywhere else)? Admittedly, may not be the most damning from the perspective of lore, when we already consider any scrap we can get as canon, but it does lead me to believe that she will be the key to opening the reality lens/natural calculation system wide open in a later event.
Tower is not just any siren. I think you covered this a little bit, but not to the extent that probably needs to be covered. Tower has no body of its own. Instead, it has a much more important task: Protecting the mainframe(s) upon which Sirens and their programs are harbored. And all the data their mainframes contain. So it doesn't really care much for either side, for its task transcends the petty squabbles of everyone else. But as for Helena and Memphis META, they've proven to be excellent hackers, so making themselves invisible to the Tower, or to communicate with the Tower for the mutual goal of removing the anomalous code from the sector, is not out of the question.
So part of the issue is that CN never says anything at all about Natural Calculation System (EN added this for unknown reasons as CN just says Wisdom Cube Network). As for the concept with Shinano, that's a good point. Not sure if it means anything currently though.
I doubt that them being hackers is the reason Tower ignores them (otherwise, all the other Ashes from the fight in Pledge would have not been spared). Not to mention, Chapter 27 disagrees with you:
Helena META: "The Tower is different from other Arbiters. She is not some kind of program you can hack or a person you can talk to."
Also if that was the task, then Tower would have intervened with Compiler's "death"
@@Hawk2zer0 Eh, I think the natural calculation system and the wisdom cube network mean the same thing. EN translators just decided to make the naming related to the reality lens, I think? But you never know with the EN translators.
Ok, admittedly, the suggestions I made were a long shot, but it seems a much better explanation for that in this event than "The Tower is helping the META's for unknown reasons", given the fact it is a virtual space is thrown into our face repeatedly throughout the event.
As for Compiler not being able to reconnect, I'm pretty sure that's out of the tower's jurisdiction. Tower may have absolute domain over the mainframes(or she is the mainframe itself, but I'd like to think they have more than one, considering the sirens weren't taken out of action with Rondo at Rainbow's End), but she does not have domain over isolated Sirens who are unable to reconnect to the siren mainframes after one is destroyed, which is what Helena META did to secure Compiler.
Pretty sure the next major event is going to be Northern Parliament due to the timing, either in Late February or Early March as always. "Fight until the Last Light has faded..."
Wasn't in Shinano's dream we saw Amagi and says about a future only Commander can bring?
the fifth dream sure, but as things currently stand...that knowledge is unknown
@@Hawk2zer0 kinda guessing here but after rewatching the anime, I kinda see Akagi going bonkers and the Watatsumi used as a catalyst eventually for Amagi.
Now I'm curious what the Watatsumi looks like after seeing the Augment Module stones.
Amagi has "backup" as Unruu-class carrier.
She might also has a "backup" as a Kii-class battleship
10 hours of livestream and when you finally got the last cutscene you had the in-game music off.... what a shame!
It was that...or YT would force me to mute my reaction to it.
So IJN Amagi might be perma dead but Akagi doesn't know her efforts may be for nothing
Well, they can't patch her with Wisdom Cube. Not saying it isn't possible with the Watatsumi though.
@@datlynn781 Possibly but I'd say Hood has a better chance because her cube hasn't been damaged and she's been given a cure the blood poisoning that was probably killing her
or maybe the full potential of the wisdom cubs hasn't been realized yet..... maybe they can bring back something like a ship that has already existed as kan-sen we've only seen what happens when things go bad with meta, insanity and so on... and the type 2 ringen is a step in the right direction of a good
awakening....
maybe there is hope for the dream shinano had in dreambutterfly....
@@Dietmar429 Bringing back ships that has already existed as kansens...
Yea... We figured that one long ago.
That's called the "Build" button...
/jk
It’s actually fully possible to revive Amagi with the Type II rigging as there actually *was* a second Amagi they can pull hull data from, that being the Unryu-class aircraft carrier Amagi launched in 1943 and sunk in 1945.
Aint it weird that the current rerun is the aforementioned event?
All i know is the "threat type v" theme is incredible
The only thing that was sad on the event for me is I didnt manage to get Yorktown 2
Oh no!.. That's unfortunate! Hope you still did enjoy the event where you could!
So BHR is the only true METAed shipgirl right?
Enty alter's group is just "my timeline is gone, reduce to Ashes" so they're Ashes and not META?
Ah. Ashes are META'd girls. All Ashes are META girls, but not all META girls are Ashes...a good example of this is Yorktown's group.
@@Hawk2zer0 This makes things easier to understand
Thank you very much
dude, my head is about to explode reading Azur Lane's lore.
Nothing on TB being outright called Observer Zero? (Its even in the thumb).
And meeting her in the real.
The Thumbnail has Compiler, not TB. Observer Zero and TB are very similar, but it's possible they aren't the same...since there's no official confirmation yet, it's why I omitted it.
Great lore video and great event! I just hope we can see Amagi II (besides the fact that she might actually be lost forever as you said in the video) and Laffey II in the future.
Arizona META confirms the existence of a Vestal META in one of her lines.
No, it only confirms there was a Vestal at one point in her timeline (and why wouldn't there be?), Not that that Vestal ever became an Ash or META. The real Vestal survived WWII, so there shouldn't be a Vestal META.
@@christophermattern4547 Her surviving WW2 doesn’t really mean anything.
The USS Enterprise survived as well and we have Code G. anyway.
@@christophermattern4547 Doesn't really matter, considering that Memphis META exists, and she was never sank either. In fact, she was scrapped.
@@novatopaz9880 So she was. I stand corrected. That METAs have to be ships sunk in action was what I heard and I didn't know any counter examples (Code G is an Ash but not a META). Thanks for educating me. So Vestal could be a META but Arizona's quote is still not proof that she is.
@@christophermattern4547 Tbf, that was the trend until Memphis META(who I think is still currently the only ship where that is not case), so the confusion is understandable.
Thanks for the another amazing lore video
I want BB-35 Texas!!
WOOOOOOOOOO NEW LORE
That's what I've been waiting for.
Amagi II?
After watching this video: Fuck...
Oof...
So if The Tower is the Shark thingie, what is the Sea Angel-looking humanoid that's been following the Commander?
The Sea Angel is actually from Lovers (an Arbiter from Tower of Trancedence)....I don't think that's who you're talking about...If you're talking that one siren that briefly appears on screen...we have no clue yet. No name has been revealed with this one yet.
@@Hawk2zer0 I see. Thank you
Me.. Give me siren shipgirl!! This Yorktown story to sad!!!
What is that strange creepy eye creature is it called the omnipresent eye?
that one character that no one knows still?
My bet is that it's an arbiter, but I'm not sure yet. Hopefully we know soon.
You know what this means right?
*Bismarck II*
Maybe..either that or META or retrofit...any possibility
Sorry but there has not been ship called Bismarck after the Battleship Bismarck was sunk on the 27th of May 1941
@@Knight6831Azur lane doesn’t really care about historical accuracy. Most of the PR ships didn’t actually exist but here they are.
Type II is a fine concept, but they violated existing precedent where separate hulls were separate individuals.
This makes them MUSE ships effectively...
I reeks of lazy development instead of creating brand new characters and personalities.
so first of all: happy new year. töröö.
the big elefent in the room: anzeel is stacked! yabai! bonk!
dosnt she look like permiat merkuria? with glasses?
are the sirens running wild?:
i dont know how much is true of it, but there once was a story: a computer program was developed to solve problems. so they feeded it with data and all and then ask it how to achive world peace. the answer was: erase humanity. so the programm would not have a bug, it would work in it is orderd to and with the best outcome in "mind". logic for a program, does not mean its good for humans. it misses a heart... so its not going rouge.
at the end, we dont know what the mission or task for the sirens is, so to find out if they work wrong or right, we need to know what they are intended to do. and the purpose of the sirens is still a mystery (like why where they build in a - as we know it - peacfull world? jurassic park-ian melcom: your scientist only asked if the could, but they never ask if they should. or somehow like this xD)
cube problem:
but didnt our yorktown get the typ2 rig at the end? so dosnt it mean that they solved the problem? IF our factions have found a cure (as it was told with hood) and add the typ2 rig, maybe it will create a full healing?
i still like that at the begining anzeel/the recorder talked about speedrunning and cheating... and us "stealing" the typ2 tech is, for our world, becomes cheating and speedrunning.
it took me till this event, to detect the taro/arcana refferences... yes, shame on me. i facepalmed so hard, specially if you know them and then remember everything, asking why the holy f*k didnt you realise? maybe i can hide behind the excuse, that english isnt my main language............. maybe?
the thing with the tower... i m not that deep in arcana, but how does the symbolism of the arcana fit the sirens in game?
sad that there are again texts that are missing. i just hate it.
well, thanks for the summry.
Technically Hood is technically already on her last ship as there has not been HMS Hood since the battlecruiser was sunk in the Battle of the Denmark Strait, Hood would need her 1942 reconstruction
Doctor Aoste, the Geralt-lookin' a***
Wait wait wait, you talk about the Type II rigging but you DON'T MENTION YORKTOWN AND ENTY REUNITING?! The music alone was worth it!
Sadly it didn't add anything to the overall lore. It was still a good scene, but it was more sentimental than it was really anything else...
The silhouette guy probably the azur lane rinnosuke
The Tower must only be capable of transporting units
Now we know the Sirens true name
So next new event maybe about involvement of ironblood
I Will not lost hope with amagi and i know all shikikans here dont want to lose that hope
thanks for the video
new story is good
Tower is true neutral. at this point anyway
who knows siren was made by humanity wanna what cass them backfire and try to killer us
NO TIME TO READ LORE
GOTTA GRIND GRIND GRING
The storyline kinda sucks though, maybe cause they spent all the money on eye candy.
