Its insane how accurate it looks compares to the pictures od the actual Battle, this show nailed the sets and the scenery, actually they nailed everything
The Japanese use the terrain of the Umurbrogol Mountain to their advantage to inflict as many casualites on the Marines. Especally , they didnt know that there were over 500 caves.
@@TheyWillKnowAnotherand it did an excellent job. This series kinda made me resent the Japanese for awhile. These guys in the pacific had it sooo tough man. I’m working outside today and it’s 89 degrees and I’m bitching. These guys, I tell ya, real real young men. Tough. Good name btw I’m a fun bag fan myself

By the looks of it, this scene is taking place in one of three areas of Bloody Nose Ridge. Either Wildcat Bowl, The Horseshoe, or Death Valley.
It's a fairly accurate depiction of what really went down. Just read Bob Leckie's book and Eugene Sledge's.

@@cherny9756 it's a movie it came out in a box set, I have it. Six episodes if I remember correctly. It's also a true story
@@jimhuff1292 It is a miniseries.
It supposed to show the effects of war on the individual marine, not the war itself
