My previous ebike was a Surface604 Colt which was a hub bike similar to your Rad. I felt that it was a slug when I pedaled it. I enjoyed your impressions and look forward to getting mine hopefully tomorrow. I'll have to find where I can get a twist throttle like yours. Cheers from Edmonton Alberta.
Thanks for the subscription Laura, I am about to put out a 1000 mile update video, just need to do the voice over. So far a great bike, the brake pads lasted 900 miles(had dual piston calipers😃), which is good for my kind of riding, lots of hills and some off road. However, what they say about mid drives is true. I had to replace the chain and freewheel at a little over 1100 miles. I do ride it pretty hard though. Good luck, let me know how you like it.
Thanks for the sub, Richard. I m going to put the Rize MD through it's paces on some North Georgia forest service roads this. Will post video's (if I survive😆)
I put several thousand miles on my Rize hub-drive - before it was stolen - and therefore considered the Rize MD as a replacement. However I've ordered a Voltbike Bravo Core instead because of its torque&speed sensor system. It would be great if you could do a video for the Bravo Core over the same course and see how it compares.
Thanks for the suggestion. I am waiting for some warmer weather for a review of the Ride1UP Touris ST, and I have a 1000 mile review coming up on the MD. We will be taking some bikes down to Jekyll Island in April, so hope to start uploading more videos. I'm not familiar with the Bravo Core, but from the web site, looks like a good bike. I'll see if I can get my hands on one. Thanks for the comment.
On the mid drive bikes. Do you want to use your gears just as you would if you did not have a motor assisting you. If it would be difficult to start uphill in eighth gear. It’s very difficult for your motor to do that as well. If you just think of it that way, typically you will not have any problems. If it would be hard on your legs, it’s hard on your motor. Congrats on the bike. Looks pretty nice.

By the way, pretty gutsy test. To say let’s see if I can get across this road without getting run over. Lol.
Is that Place in the South?
Yes, North West suburb of Atlanta.
