I am thrilled for Jess. It's a bit odd because Jess does not get to be talked about for having a particular strength. She appears so even in all areas. Nothing striking as: a super mover, lightening rod ball basher, super back hand, killer instinct forehand, tall and ace leader etc etc. Yet she took Iga out! Admiration and respect.

Jessica Pegula played phenomenally. She wasn't afraid of 1ga Swiatek and once again proved why she is one of the most consistent tennis players on tour right now. She was brave and showed how to play against 1ga Swiatek. Jessica Pegula truly is one of the best tennis players on tour right now. Even when she was 2:4 down in the third set she didn't give up and won this match. Her consistency, much better doubles and singles experience, mental strength and freshness were the key to her victory in this match. I hope that she can finally win her first WTA 1000 tittle in this tournament and third of her career.

On powinien sam najlepiej wiedzieć, jak prowadzić taką zawodniczkę.

Regarding Iga game, it's hard not to notice that today she had huge problem with serve. She lost 11 gems on own serve thats really unusual of her and still was so close to win. Against Collins and Muchova in also 3 set match, she lost only 3 gems while serving. You can't explain this statistic only by your opponent performance, her serve was slow and inaccurate. Definitely she wasn't at her best physical shape today, late game against Collins tired her out. Iga just needs some break to recover and will be fine.

Let’s go back to your comment after US Open, where Pegula and Coco are at home and Iga who will be as a guest 😎😎 Good Luck ☘️

@@DronPB Who are you replying to? Anyway I predicted Coco would win Cincinnati, and good on her. Iga has been playing with more nerves, but will probably defend her US Open title, sorry in advance to the American fans. 🙂

Jessica Pegula is a chameleon! She can switch play styles so efficiently and effectively! She’ll go from kerber to sharapova mid point!

She got lucky in the third set. Iga lost focus a bit but should have won.

Pegula's class is too much to handle for IGA. She was just unplayable.
