Bad interviewing here: You don't starti an interview with a musician who is clearly on the rise with a story about his famous dad. This interviewer clearly didn't know much about Lukas' talent or his magnetic presence on stage, clearly, since he's never seen him perform. Sorry, he deserves much more respect than this guy offered.
Just stopped to make a similar comment. Glad I’m not the only one who picked up on that. Seems like no prep was done and even then, if one wanted to reference his icon father or follow-up his work with him or Neil Young, they could’ve done it in a much more complimentary and flattering manner. “This is a bonus- What’s Neil Young like?” I mean, cmon seriously? How about ‘Neil Young is of course a musical icon, how did you & POTR become his full time band?’ Or ‘Sharing the stage with an iconic talent like Neil Young just serves as a testament to the caliber of musicians you and your band truly are!’
You remind me so much of one of my triplet sons Lucas. You are very talented. It's important you share that gift with the world. And carry on your families gifts.

The two main protagonists of "A Star Is Born" seem to be based on realistic aspiring musician/ songwriters. Lady Gaga nails it both as a musician and an actress throughout the whole movie. Bradley Cooper plays his role as if it were his own life story. When playing the rock star he makes every scene totally credible. I understand that he collaborated with KK while doing the movie.There is an undeniable telepathic connection amongst the actors Lukas Nelson, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Some scenes were unforgettable like the opening take of "Gaga" doing Edith Piaf in "La Vie en Rose" ; Bradley cruising the back streets in a limo looking for a real connnection ; Bradley's reaction to her new hair color; her tenderness when receiving an award when he disgraces himself in public; the last scene where he fixes his dog a supreme steak dinner, meanwhile plotting out each step of the suicide.I come from a background of film makers, and have never felt that deep connection portrayed just like it was done in version 2. It was much more than a love story, instant fame and concession of defeat.
No i didnt know him by the movie.It was actually my number one movie of all time.I just started listening to lukas.I have always loved his dad since i was a young kid.Lukas is very talented just like his dad.looking forward to hearing more of his singing.

Asking about what Willie and Neil Young are like just seemed disrespectful when the subject and subject matter should be the actual person giving you their time on camera. Of course Lukas does what he’s always done, taken it in stride and handled it with class. 👏👍
Back up for Neil Young,,,😂 I just got tickets for Lynyrd Skynyrd and watched one of their documentaries. They explained why Neil Young (will remember, a southern man don’t need you around anyhow). It was nice to hear Ronnie Van Zandt and Neil Young met before the plane crash. Ronnie even wore his Neil Young t-shirt! Great when artists come together. Lucas reminded me of Ronnie right away and I had to look to be sure I was watching Lucas!
