Very nice Matsukawabake . I have a male that is (I believe) 10 years old now and about 55 cm. When I first got him he had similar markings to yours but eventually lost all the white and only in the last year or so has he started to get some coming back into the pectoral fins. I've always been a fan of black fish with kumonryu being one of my favourites. Hope yours does well.
Hi, she was beautiful. She was of my favourite fish but sadly I lost her 3 weeks ago. I was gutted. Fox attack. I found her but half eaten. Very sad, she had grown so much in 4 months, she had gained 13cm and was so so wide. I just cannot find any like her...
@@mykoiobsession thank you. You know when you have one of those fish that you can't wait till she becomes 60cm and massive... She was the one ☹️ but it's nature I suppose...
Amazing kujakus there! So hard to find good quality fish here. Your soo lucky to have shops with a selection of fish to shoose from. Good luck with your new addition. Stay safe.
Hi, Yes the Kujaku were really nice and really chunky. Really clean fish. Yes, we are lucky in England, we do have lots of koi dealers, some of which are just amazing. YOu can have some imported if there is something you are really after - Quality Nishikigoi exports to other parts of the world
Your new fish is also stunning 🤩😍 I have a kumonryu with a similar marking on the head but the top lobe of its caudal fin is broken. Koi are so relaxing and beautiful 🙏🏾👍
Thank you Danny. She is nice but has a lot of carp pox around her tail. She was in the pond outside. The Kujaku were nice. They are in their website. The Karashigoi was just stunning. It's quite far from you though. Going to Cuttlebrook Farm on the 22nd May.
@@LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection yeah new forest is bloody miles from me. I've been cuttlebrook before. Didn't get a good look round because of the restrictions. Need to go again. There only about 45 mins from me
@@dannycurrie1 oh cool. I have an hour slot and they allowed me to film a bit although the mud ponds might be still empty. I am picking up two new fish too.
Nice video Lau , I go to new forest koi at least twice a year, did you know the Japanese consider a karasugoi ( black koi ) to be a symbol of very good luck and you will be hard pressed to find a pond in Japan without one , 👍👍😀😀

Hi Martyn, thank you for commenting. The Forest Koi is of course not the biggest facilities compare to others in the UK. What I meant by their food is that they don't sell any other brands. They have it manufactured and have their own label, of course, like everybody I would say? I woukdnt say it's bland depending what time of the year you go to, but may be the quality compare to other UK farm is not quite there, I would agree.
