It is. For instance, such as in Lent. (In this video, however, Dr. Pitre is focusing on Ordinary Time, where the focus is on the synoptics. However, since Mark is so short compared to the other two synoptics, there is a stretch in that cycle which incorporates readings from John as well.)
i don't think am being pedantic in saying Dr Brant's terminology in comparing the second reading to the stepchild that no body pays attention to , is quite out of order. I like Dr Brant very much, and he has taught me a great deal, but on this case I t think is chose of words inappropriate. Thanks anita
