James Evans James Evans don't waste your time trying to divine why language is what it is. Language is what it is precisely because of slang. People make up new words or find new uses for words. Every new language or dialect is a bastardization of another, just like english was just the bastard child of germanic and romance languages. By the time you question one odd word or meaning a thousand weirder ones have been made. Humans have nice asses and also cool ass languages

People may have already said this, but here's my take on it:
The thing is, Riley actually did get Geoff a gift: The satisfaction of getting her a better present than she got him. He gets to feel that indignation for the first time in his life, and it's more satisfying than any object she could buy him. The football was clearly such a poor gift for this reason in particular, because no matter what Geoff got Riley she was gonna pretend to love it. It turns out Geoff really didn't need the assist, because his gift was genuinely great, and Riley's act breaks for a moment as she sheds genuine tears of happiness. But the end result is the same: Geoff gets to feel something that no amount of money could have bought him, and Riley gets a genuinely unexpected, great gift.
All in all, this was a pretty wholesome Christmas documentary.

Here’s what’s not debatable:
“I am laughing and smiling but it is insecurity deep down” Jesus geoff that hit a bit too close.
Plot twist: Reilly's actual gift was flipping the script on Geoff. She cried at his gift while giving him garbage so he'd know how everyone else feels.
Does anyone else think “Bad Reilly” actually found the necklace thief, and that’s how she got the necklace back? Taken-style.
She was the thief, obviously.

You know, it's been a couple years with Headgum, and I just want to say that they got me through a couple hard times with their humor. I love the whole cast, and I cannot say enough how much I appreciate their under-rated channel of gold content. Thank you to all involved.

Geoff really crossed the line here. Reilly got him a valuable, thoughtful gift, and now he has every opportunity to go out on the field and toss some pigskin, or join a league, and he treats it like, like, like it's roast beef!
