Pullip and Blythe tend to have a lot of similarities but what are the differences.

I can confirm that I dove head first into the world of dolls, esp ball-jointed dolls, due to egl fashion lol. They really are adjacent hobbies. I'd been wearing old school lolita fashion for a few years, came across other egl enthusiasts who are also bjd enthusiasts and later found a video about how the Japanese garage/mecha kit company, Volks, began producing bjds in the 90s. The history and artistry of it fascinates to me, and the uncanny "aura" or feeling that dolls often provoke in people is actually a large part of what attracts me to them. I've always been a fan of oddities and spooky things.
As for Blythes and Pulips, I appreciate seeing what ppl do with them, as doll customization is simply fun to see, but their proportions are not to my tastes. I didn't know that you could change their eye color with the blinking mechanism, though. The engineering of dolls is also fascinating to me, and that's such a cool feature.
