- Titanique, which opened its return New York engagement June 23 at Off-Broadway's The Asylum Theatre, continues through September 25.
“It's a Celine Dion fever dream of what really happened in her eyes on the Titanic on that fateful night, which is low key, a gay fantasia of chaos,” shares Alex Ellis, who plays Rose in the parody of the James Cameron-directed blockbuster film. Watch the video above for an exclusive performance of “Tell Him” that features Ellis, Marla Mindelle, and Kathy Deitch.
The cast features Mindelle as Céline Dion, Constantine Rousouli as Jack, Frankie Grande as Victor Garber, Deitch as Molly Brown, Ryan Duncan as Ruth, Ellis as Rose, John Riddle as Cal, and Jaye Alexander as The Iceberg. The ensemble includes Courtney Bassett, Donnie Hammond, and Dimitri Moise.
Céline Dion commandeers a tour group at the Titanic museum, telling the tour guests her eccentric take on the famous love story of Jack and Rose. Through the fictionalized version of the singer, the irreverent show features popular songs from Dion's catalog, including "My Heart Will Go On," "All By Myself," and "To Love You More" to explain what really happened to the lovers. Titanique was co-written by Mindelle, Rousouli, and Tye Blue.
Blue directs the production, which features music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Nicholas Connell. They are joined on the creative team by Clarissa Marie Ligon as production stage manager, Rebecca Guskin as assistant stage manager, Ellenore Scott as choreographer, and Eva Price as producer. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Rachel Hoffman and Henry Russell Bergstein.
The show premiered in Los Angeles in 2017 before transferring to New York City's The Green Room 42. The show also had a virtual concert performance live streamed from Le Poisson Rouge during the shutdown.

Molly brown look alike❤🎉
This is so bizarre - I have no idea what the joke or premise is…
The premise is a Celine Dion jukebox musical parody of the movie Titanic
Celine thinks that she was actually on the Titanic on that voyage
