Amelia Liana and Lily, I enjoyed both your videos. I think what I missed in both your videos is an acknowledgement that the lifestyle you enjoy is because of the social media careers, all the lovely products, experiences etc. That most people would be lucky to experience rarely are daily occurrences for you guys, and I feel for young girls and women watching your blogs while struggling to afford the basics. So much of social media stuff is advertising, would love more content that is not product based
Your real, honest personality is what got you this far and formed your career Lily, so please remind yourself of that if your confidence wobbles and you are tempted to give in to the critics. Something I keep in mind, and that I would say to any other content creator, is: make things for your best viewers, not your worst!

I think, that you get comments about being negative just because you are very real and share your honest opinions and thoughts. Not many other vlogs are like that, actually majority of what I have seen are all smiley and extremely positive. It is that contrast to other vloggers, which makes you unique. How to tell when your avocado is perfectly ripe. Pop the nub/stem off the top. If it comes off easily then see what the color is. If it is light yellow it's not ripe. If it is a green color like the flesh, it's ready to go. If it is dark brown/black it is over ripe and no longer good. If the stem won't easily pop off then it's not ready yet.

I feel like there is such a misunderstanding about "positivity" on youtube - that it means only being "happy" all the time and never having a bad or negative thought or acknowledging the downside of something. (I put happy in scare quotes because no one is happy all the time - but who can tell when you're smiling?) Where in reality, positivity is a state of mind or a state of being that ebbs and flows. You can be a positive person while still having a bad moment, a bad day, a bad month. It seems like people are so afraid of being "negative" without really understanding what either term really means. To me, being negative is being mean or pessimistic or fatalistic - always expecting the worst. While being positive is just the opposite, while not ignoring the reality that sometimes shit happens! Thanks for talking about it (actually Pew Dee Pie (or whatever his name is) made a pretty decent video talking about this as well) and thanks for keeping it real, Lily! That's what will keep me coming back for more :)

If there's something worth saying I'm glad you confidently mention it, I love your vlogs for the realistic representation of everyday life.
A very warming vlog. The reason why I have never unsubcribed to your channel, even though not all of your video topics are up my street, is that you are so real, I can sense it even on video. I've followed you since before your RUclips videos and never commented ever, but after watching this, and some of your recent videos I feel like suddenly I've become to know you so much more! I understand the reality of how the only version of you we get to know is what you choose to expose, but seeing this made me understand why you have so many loving friends and how valuable you must be to a group of people. Often likability online is depicted dependent on how giddy or smiley you are, but coming from a fellow 20 something it's so nice to watch someone so level headed and genuine, was like you were in the room chatting like a friend!

Thanks for this video. I think it's easy to forget that blogs/ vlogs are edited and you are only seeing one side of someone's life and it's been packaged for viewers. No one shows the dirty kitchen, the cat peeing on the bed or the nasty side of life. Vlog life looks perfect because it's designed to look so. Don't let people acuse you of being negative!! Yes, you complain about things that bother you, and then you go and DO SOMETHING about them. Plus, you also acknowledge the things that make you happy. I think the really toxic negative people are the ones who don't see the good in things and who don't do anything to change the bad.

I have always felt like your vlogs are some of the most authentic and down to earth and I feel like that is one of the reasons they are my fav!!
I've followed you since before your RUclips videos and never commented ever, but after watching this, and some of your recent videos I feel like suddenly I've become to know you so much more! I understand the reality of how the only version of you we get to know is what you choose to expose, but seeing this made me understand why you have so many loving friends and how valuable you must be to a group of people. Often likability online is depicted dependent on how giddy or smiley you are, but coming from a fellow 20 something it's so nice to watch someone so level headed and genuine, was like you were in the room chatting like a friend!
Loved the sheer honesty and positivity of this video lily! I'd have killed to be a fly on the wall with you, Anna, Lily and Zoe as I've followed you all for such a long time and had no real idea that you knew one another. I know it's 10 minutes of your life but I always feel like you could be one of the girls in my friendship group and that for me is one of the reasons I think you connect with your viewers so well 😊 all the support imaginable! x
Love your idea about introducing people and being happy that all your friends become friends. I know that some of my friends find it difficult when that happens to their friends and I never understand.

I don't think you are a negative person at all. Actually you are very objective when you give your opinion or share some thoughts. From those 10 min I perceive that you are that type of person who work your ass off to achieve your goals, to share good content and your view of life online. I perceive in every single video or post how hard you work on this and that gives me so much respect for you. Thanks for this video. I think it's easy to forget that blogs/ vlogs are edited and you are only seeing one side of someone's life and it's been packaged for viewers. No one shows the dirty kitchen, the cat peeing on the bed or the nasty side of life. Vlog life looks perfect because it's designed to look so. I think you're actually my favourite youtuber. Ive been watching youtube videos since 2008 and i've just watched so many different youtubers, and now that I've got a proper job I just don't have as much time anymore to watch so many youtubers.

I have the same problem sometimes. I'm quite sarcastic and usually say the first thing that pops in my head, negative or positive. I'm actually quite a positive and optimistic person, but I think people think I'm negative because of the sarcasm. But I own it. It's who I am. Much love to you!

It makes me sad people tell you your negative and that it makes you second guess how you are. Don't let people acuse you of being negative!! Yes, you complain about things that bother you, and then you go and DO SOMETHING about them. Plus, you also acknowledge the things that make you happy. I think the really toxic negative people are the ones who don't see the good in things and who don't do anything to change the bad.
