Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying this reaction as much as I enjoyed this song! I would like to let you know that I had to stop the song every once in a while due to copyright! I too prefer listening to the whole song and then giving my opinion, but if I did that youtube wouldn't have made me publish the video without a copyright strike (a copyright strike could, in some cases, shut down a youtube channel!). A great storyteller and paradigm breaker!
Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality...
Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is:
A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures.
Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing...
The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details.
As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone!
The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb!
The music is a show in itself: a mix of Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Captivating variations: a bridge to the chorus full of strength and seduction and a beautiful chorus inspired by classic rock and dexterity and Dimash's agility! In addition to the well-placed guitar solo performed by Abik Jeksen!
The video captures and captivates from the beginning to the sign, which we let pass while still mesmerized by the “spell” of the vampire who can break the fourth wall!
A giant, masterful, modern work that makes you want to watch it several times!

On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. This song is only for fun and to show what Dimash can do. Hes not a one trick pony. This kind of stuff is not
A new direction....just another side in his scope of talent. The song is nothing great...but obviously its a hit with the young crowd raised on the simple commercial formula of today. Its dark and sexual .this is sadly the current mindset.
If Dimash did decide to go this way totally....he would lose the majority of his fan base. He is too good for this level ...but he can allow himself to be edgier at times and just have fun with it. Keeps the waters fresh. His clasical crossover is what he is known and highly respected and appreciated for.
Usually I don't like Dimash, but this song is amazing even for me. I really like your spontaneity and commentary in this last videos

@@francescoolivieri5803Francesco i gusti sono personali e insindacabili e diversi da persona a persona..Anche per me è inconcepibile che esistono persone a cui Dimash,la sua voce,e la sua musica non piacciono,ma detto questo se chi esprime questo per me strano pensiero lo fa rispettando Dimash lo accetto tranquillamente,anche perché Dimash è il primo a sapere benissimo che è impossibile piacere a tutti e che la sua musica innovativa non è per tutti..Comunque non esagerare,Dimash può suonare 10 strumenti,ovviamente non tutti professionalmente,alcuni li suona per passatempo e per divertimento,e sono già tanti..20 sono una tua esagerazione non necessaria,e ogni esagerazione è negativa per la promozione di Dimash..Le ottave che siano 6,7,o 8 non è importante perché ci sono cose molto più importanti che rendono speciale e unico Dimash..E fino ad ora Dimash ha cantato in 17 lingue..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

@@CamillaFioretti What a pity. For this particular video there were no copyright issues, so unfortunately, you cut the hell out of it and made it transparent for naught. Also, not sure what you meant by not having a bridge because it did, but it seems you cut it out in your reaction.

@@CamillaFioretti Not with this song and not with The Story Of One Sky. I only saw very, very few blocked videos after releasing about one year ago but not a single one after that. Dimash explicitly wants this video to be seen and shared. And not only one blocked reaction with When I've Got You.

Hi! I had to cut it because of copyriɡht. If I didn't cut the videos I would have risked a copyriɡht strike and a shadowban on my channel.
I know I'm late but cutting because of copyright was not necessary. I saw not one reaction getting blocked.And cutting is the worst thing to avoid copyright. Blurry, stripes or dots, or transparent, do what you have to do if you really have to but please never ever skip or cut the video🙏🙏🙏.

No, this is not his best song, The Story of One Sky is by far the best he has done. This is a more "commercial" song, to apeal to the western audiences, that is, Americans. A NICE SONG? How many othrers could do it. He is very good at everything he chooses to sing. I think you need to listen to a lot more.
