On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon. (Dimash News)

мы привыкли видеть Димаша в образе Ангела Света и Любви поэтому многие реакционеры в шоке от нового образа Димаша .изображающего вампира. Ему удалось показать привлекательным это злобное существо. Мы видим хоровод невест Дракулы и они ему уже не интересны,т.к стали частью тьмы. Дракуле нужны чистые невиные души ибо они пища для его ненасытной души.. Великолепно выстроены все кадры в хронологической последовательности,мрачный интерьер,символы нечистой силы,богини Кали - смерти, отсутствие света только свечи на канделябре, непременно капающая кровь с рук журналистки к рая пришла за интервью с вампиром,но это требует платы с ее стороны типа некоего договорняка с ним. Музыка пострясающая включающая в себе все направления от классики,блюза,джаза,рока,элементы оперы к рые оказывают сумашедшее воздействие на эмоциональное состояние девушки, привлекательная внешность молодого Димаша, его магический голос переворачивает все внутренности , снимает табу с девицы,она боится неизвестности. но и вместе с тем ее влечет эта необъяснимая страсть плоти .неясное брожение крови, и вот она уже в белой ночной сорочке готова принять его "любовь", она лежит в постели как добровольное жертвоприношение любви,но Дракула еще не спешит,наслаждается, ее чистотой и предвкушением будущим пиром..и в конце видео мы видим его лик ,оскал зубов вампира к рый как следуя давней традиции поедает свежую плоть. Ну,. что сказать ... чуда не будет, сказочной метаморфозы вампира в ангела света и любви. Наверно,Дракулы и иже с ними подобные рады,что их вспомнили и посвятили такой супер клип. Однако это и предупреждение о том,что нельзя заигрывать девочкам и мальчикам с силами тьмы ибо можно стать ее частью и оттуда дорога не в рай,а в ад. Откуда нет спасения,кроме Христа Бога нашего.
Димаш гениален во всех образах,он затронул почти все стороны нашей внутренней анатомии чувств,падения и восстания. Теперь ждем арию Иисус Христос супер звезда. Чаша в Гефсиманском саду к -рую поют все великие певцы мирового рока. .

I felt the same when I first watched it. I reminded me of Micheal Jackson, thriller. That is not to take anything away from Demash. this song and video is demash through and through. I could see MJ making a song like this as he is the king of pop in my opinion, but he doe not have the vocal range to be able to makes this song in this way.
I wish they would give demash as much credit as they gave MJ. He a in a Million tallent, yet he does not get the coverage he deserves. Also, I noticed that this song, combines more then his normal pop opera.
You have opera, southern, blues, jazz, rock, pop. I am sure maybe I may have missed some. this video and music is not a standard style that you can stick in one box and that is also what makes this a masterpiece, truly impressive. I heard he based this on 'interview with a vampire', which makes sense, as you see her interview him like in the movie.
We dont need this dark side of fearmusic, its NOT good. But Dimash's voice is insanely good..

User-uh9, give us a break, Marcelito doesn’t have 7 octaves, only Mimics singers, not globally famous & does not have fans like Dimash has. Last but not the least, Dimash has a voice that transcends any singers. Marcelito isn’t & can’t even come close.

Я перевёл ваш пост. Согласен с Вами, но чёрная одежда для вампира - это стандарт от которого не уйти... Я и пишу про вокал... А здесь уже надо сравнивать вокал Джексона с вокалом Димаша и тут не в пользу Майкла будет по многим параметрам... Я о том, что не Димаша надо сравнивать с Майклом, а наоборот понимать насколько вокальные возможности Димаша намного круче, чем у любой западной "звезды", даже самой раскрученной...
