The problem with German luxury vehicles is maintenance costs after warranty. Also horrific depreciation.

The reason MB and BMW lose a lot of value is after the warranty expires, maintenance and repair costs are way above average. The exception would be MB AMG and BMW M. The best way to drive an MB or BMW is to lease one and then dump it when warranty expires. Ditto for Porsche Cayenne and Macan. The 911 holds its value better, especially specialty 911s.

Love my 22023 CT5. Just wish it had a spare tire. I may just compromise the trunk space for a tire and jack.

@@michaelpasold5083 Yes, I had that option but they're only good for a max of 50 miles. The tire is not fixable after that and I was told the tires were impossible to find. Things may have changed since I bought mine, but I couldn't go on a trip and be stuck for a few weeks.

Nice that Cadillac offers alternative to German sport sedans at an attractive price since Lincoln doesn't compete in that segment and the Chrysler 300 is ending.

The only difference between the standard 3.0tt and the V 3.0tt is 25 extra hp. It would be nice if GM offered a factory tune to 400hp and 450ft lbs of torque.

If you want more power, then buy the Blackwing. That blows away anything that European cars have to offer at a better price.

Too bad they never did anything with the rims as opposed to the Camaro SS 1LE where you get muscular deep muscle car looking rims hence the reason I went with it and the sparse interior is a nice change from the CT4 I previously owned.

Problem is, if you look at any other car in this price range, the statistics for their performance/reliability/rating, whatever are just much better than this car. The engine and styling is not worth $71k. This car should be about $40k-$50k max. Then it would be a good price. The interiors in caddies the last dozen years or so have been horrendous and every year is rated terribly. Their performance has also been rated lower than similar engines.

You know, you can always find a good used example that is so much more affordable. For example, I listed for a Porsche Boxster. A new one at the time was in $60,000 range. So I bought a used one for $15,000 and enjoyed it for 6 years and sold it for $13,000.
