Simply class back in the day.. as a child watched this regular . As my name is Steve I was zodiac and my brother Michael was Mick mercury.. thank you for the memories
Very nice video that really fits the mood. It's a shame that the lyrics aren't quite right, but it doesn't spoil anything. Really enjoyed this, thank you :-)
The lyrics are quite right. The only real mistake that I can find is that the last verse reads "I'll never reach the stars" instead of "I'll never reach the skies," but to fair, this recording makes it sound like Don Spencer wasn't sure if he should sing "skies" or "stars," so he switched halfway through the word.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 Thank you for your reply. Believe me, I've no wish to sound pedantic, my friend, especially as this is a heart-warming video and a beautiful song that takes me back to my early childhood in the Sixties. Accordingly, rest assured that it was merely a minor observation that I made, and was not intended to be seen in a critical light. On the contrary, the video is a fitting tribute to a classic TV show. However, seeing as we're on the subject, then yes, the error you pointed out was one that I'd already noticed myself. However, there is another error that's escaped your attention, my friend, and you'll find it at 1:33 where the lyrics state: "my heart would be a fireball". Actually, it should say: "my heart IS STILL a fireball" as Don Spencer is singing in the present tense about the reality of his current situation, having fully disengaged from the fantasy trip into space that we all enjoyed previously. Many, if not most, people are probably unaware of this quite subtle change to the lyrics, so it's effectively a 'blind spot' to them. Still, it's understandable as it's very easy to miss unless you pay strict attention, as you've now found out for yourself. Anyway, didn't we all love this show as a child, and that catchy song? Of course we did! Minor errors or not, I absolutely love it, and that's why it's my favourite Fireball XL5 video.🥰
I can't believe that I used to get up a 5:30am on Saturday mornings just to hear this song as a child in the 1960's. And a RUclipsr that I follow (ruclips.net/video/B3WydZ83p4A/видео.html) made a reference to one of Don Spencer's other shows (Thunderbird 2 at time code 4:06) that caused me to find this site.
Love it, my youth began at this moment.Thsnk you CT
