1:53 Bottom screen = Frank McCourt has bought the Dodgers. This will be an interesting Dodgers era, both on and off the field

After splitting the first two games, the NLCS scene shifts to Miami, Florida for Game 3. Kerry Wood fanned 7 in his 6 2/3 innings of work but left the game trailing 3-2. But in the top of the 8th, Randall Simon says.....hit a home run. And he did to put the Cubs ahead 4-3. The Marlins would tie it in the bottom half, and the game went to extra frames. In the 11th, Doug Glanville delivered a big pinch-hit RBI triple to put Chicago on top 5-4. The Marlins didn't score in the bottom half and the Cubs led the series.
Game 4 was the Aramis Ramirez show. In the first, he sent a Dontrelle Willis offering down the LF line that landed fair for a grand slam home run. Ramirez had three hits, a second home run and drove in 6 of the Cubs' 8 runs. And eight was enough for Matt Clement and crew for an 8-3 win. The Chicago Cubs were now one win away from exorcising 58 years of demons as far as the pennant was concerned.
The Cubs had a chance to wrap it up at Pro Player Stadium in Game 5. But Josh Beckett and the Fish slammed the brakes on a Cubs' pennant party---for a few nights at least. Mike Lowell broke a scoreless tie in the 5th with a two-run blast. While Pudge and Conine also went yard, the two-run shot was all Beckett needed. The #2 overall pick in the 1999 MLB draft went the distance, 4-0, pitching a two-hit shutout, and fanning 11. The first complete game of Beckett's career.
For Cubs' fans, the Beckett performance was a setback. They DID win two of three on the road, and still led the series three games to two. It was back to Chicago for Game 6 and Prior scheduled to pitch. And wouldn't they just love to win the pennant on Tuesday in front of their friendly confines.

Wow, Beckett's first career complete game, and a shut out. I did not know that.
And because of his poor quality starts in both postseason starts, McKeon has removed Dontrelle from the Marlins starting staff in the postseason and will replace him with Carl Pavano for the rest of the postseason.

It's kinda ironic how the Cubs were on the opposite end of the 3-1 equation in the 2016 World Series and then proceeded to pull an exact reverse of 2003 to finally end the 108 year drought.

Everything seems lined up perfectly for the Cubs. They're going back to the friendly confines with a 3-2 series lead with Prior set to go for Game 6. Things are looking good for the Cubbies. I mean, it's not like they're gonna be derailed by something as innocuous as a fan reaching for a souvenir, right?
    Right?

It's nice for the Marlins to win GM 5, so the Cubs don't celebrate on their field. But cannot see them winning two in Wrigley. The Northside of Chicago will celebrate its first pennant in almost 60 years, going to be a party at Wrigley.

Forget having to beat Prior and Wood on the road: which Marlins pitcher do you trust to hold up their end of the bargain?
      Penny, Redman, Pavano….. Rick Helling?
      They’ve already used Beckett twice.

1:12 Kerry Wood hight-and-tight to Miguel Cabrera.
Because of this, Josh Beckett did that to Sammy Sosa in game 5 as well at 7:52. Remember that Sosa has already been hit twice on the head in 2003. This is when Beckett started to get the reputation of a punk.
And Roger Clemens will also do that to Miguel Cabrera in game 4
