    One little tip when installing the track into the new channel run...Place the track on the outside of the run and pierce the rubber with the tabs on the track. Then when you put the track inside the channel run, the holes are already there for the tabs...and they were centered pretty good.

    Thanks for the tips, installed your whole cab kit on my son's 88 s-10,after a paint job, went well, and the product is really excellent quality, better than the original equipment.

    oh, and it took me and a friend about 3 hours to complete the install. We did it without the special tools to remove the window crank and the door panel.

    Yeah it would have been great to see the glass coming out and back in. These seem to hang on the glass clips.

      Two 10mm bolts at window base which can be accessed by rolling the window up or down.
      A plastic clip can be removed from the window base once the bolts are pulled.
      Roll window 3/4 down. Grab near rear of window and tilt forward (towards truck) the plastic clips on the front and rear of window will pop right out once window is free lift out of door with the window turned down towards ground.

    • @PrecisionReplacementParts
      @PrecisionReplacementParts  5 лет назад +2

      Yes, because the glass run needs to go down into the door. Leaving the glass down makes it easier to install this.

    might want to pull the window out of the mech and wipe the old greese out put new greese in the track and on roller sence that is what makes the window bind and tear the seal

    I know this is very old video. I installed these on my s10 recently and I have an issue with the front part where it curves by the mirror puckers around the corner and the felt does not contact and seal the window well.

    1993 4 door s10 blazer rear door window channel available?

  • @jbird68
    @jbird68 11 лет назад

    I did this on the weekend. Did both doors. Passenger door went easy. The driver side door had a little trouble with the plastic clip that rides in the track not staying on the window. Finally got it on but the top clip catches on the edge of the new seal. I am thinking that a piece of tape over the clip will prevent the seal from trying to go under the clip and then popping the clip off.

    • @PrecisionReplacementParts

      chuck berry Those are the glass run channel brackets and are not supplied with the aftermarket glass runs. If you need them, try finding them at a wrecking yard. They are usually in good condition, or you could go to the dealer but they will cost an arm and a leg!

      @Michael Wishon We do not make the metal channel that attaches to the glass run weatherstrip. I don't believe anybody reproduces it. You could try car-parts.com to try and find a used one.
