There's something abt low effort minor key drill&bass, breakcore and jungle, that makes it feel more melancholic and depressing (which is why it's called depressive breakcore lol) the low effort techniques also make it feel more personal imo, kinda like venting through art, not really caring too much abt it being perfect, since it's a vent (not that this was a vent from the producer or something, you don't need to feel sad to make sad music, but sometimes it sounds cool to you and you want others to feel sm in that music)
