Great video, on RUclips it can be hard to get anything across outside of "this is the best mic ever" or "this mic is crap" (the TRUTH about the Ne-). The reality is these mics are incredible for the price point but also there are some real tradeoffs! It's great to see a video that doesn't overstate the positive qualities or downplay the negative qualities of this mic
Ok bro i came for the review cause i have this mic for a long time still goin strong. But that jam was awesome i want to learn how to do that now lol. I had to replay that one more time ha 😅
in defense of Neewer.. from what I’ve been told, if you simply return the damaged NW 700, Neewer has a reputation for customer satisfaction and will happily replace it with a new one.
@@STEViEZHUU It's more popular so it is automatically better. My EQ of the U87 to make it sound more like the NW700 was a HUGE improvement on the U87's unpopular sound.
The unprocessed acoustic guitar sounds processed 😉 It's true, you can get astonishingly good sound from cheap gear. I'd use the Behringer B5 as an example even though it's double as expensive as the Neewers.

Any microphone that works, it could be argued, is worth $20. But, the idea of listening to you through that NW 800 for more than a couple of minutes is like torture. The mic sounds horrible. It's like nails on a chalkboard. It's like having a tooth drilled. Even listening through my phone, it's really annoying. So while I agree, that it is a bargain at $20, I would not want to listen to it any longer than I had to. If it could be used on a transient audio source, like a drum Tom, I could see it being much more useful. But using it on a primary vocal? Umm… No. Spend $60 or $70 and buy a used SM58. At least you won't want to kill yourself after a few minutes.

I appreciate it man! Yeah I really do think these mics are super cool, but of course you get what you pay for which comes with many downsides

Ah I should have mentioned theres two takes, stereo panned, but yes its unprocessed :) and the behringer is also great, definitely a better mic

I wouldn't count on it no, it theoretically comes with a cable you can use to plug it into your phone but it has no way to power it

Yeah reliability is an issue, I bought the usb version and I could not change the gain, wich is kinda dissapointing
