I upgraded to a 1500 gph pump its reduced cost of chemical, filters, the water is crystal clear . Just replaced seals ,orings running great 3rd year. Pool size 15 x 48.
Jared, do you have any information on your piping, size pipe, connecting to pool in place of flex pipe? We are considering getting one, 18'X52" is the thought right now, and I like the idea of the hard pipe and valves
I would recommend using pipe that is the same size or as close as possible to the flex hose that comes with the pump. The flex pvc is a lot more expensive than straight pipe but I found it helped in not putting any addt’l stress on the built in port holes on the side of the pool.
No, we live in south Florida, winter here is mire like a mild summer. The original flexible pipes of the original pump/filter system stated to break and the original pump system didn’t include valves. Without valves cleaning the filter was a pain.
I’m working from memory as we moved and no longer gave the pool. I think I was able to slip 3/4” pvc through the factory ports. I wanted to find some cut in type of ports but never was able to locate them. That would have even worked better by allowing more volume. I’ll try to find the link to a video I watched which was what I was wanting to do. It was very well done.
This was ultimately how I was planning on changing the plumbing in the pool. Parts were out of stock every time I went to order them. ruclips.net/video/tNsYZG0S1fc/видео.html
hi i just got a new bestway pro steel and i like to ask the long steel that sit on the ground has a hole on one side ...anyone knows for what? as i do not have and holes in the fitting that connect with the round one on top and nighter pins for it..
I don’t. I can tell you a spent a bit of time and a few trips to the hardware store. I also found the rubber type couplers that use metal hose type clamps were very useful.
Dude with the basic filter you get with the pump you where complaining about water gushing out of the filter anytime you cleaned it or change the filter, Well you know there are two black plugs you get with the pool/filter and there purpose is for the problem you talk about to simply plug the pump holes from inside the pool when changing the filter lol.. Great work anyway.. looking good.
Technically there are three plugs. At first I used them but found it silly that you have to loosen and remove the inlet debris screens (2 of them) and the supply jet to order to insert the plugs. The larger pumps come with valves which takes far less time and effort. Unfortunately the factory pool penetrations on that size pool are to small for Bestway or Intex brand valves. So I improvised... also, I’ve never been one to leave simply leave well enough alone... lol The “Tim Allen” in me often comes out, I think it’s most severe around full moons... 🤓
I made a hoist very similar to this one that Jack N Boots made and it worked extremely well very easy. Credit Jack N Boots ruclips.net/video/I0Ckyd-hdMo/видео.html

Wow!! You did an awesome job! I hope my husband can figure something out with our pool.
Please give me some advice about leveling the ground before u put down the pool
Since Your pool look perfectly levelled
i did mine myself. it wasnt leveled at all. but it lasted all summer last yr. i took it down and gonna try to do it again for this yr..
Make sure your lands flat!!
Do you make this so you can easily take it apart for the winter?
No, we live in south Florida, winter here is mire like a mild summer.

What size PVC and flex couplings did you use for your set up?
Save yourself a lot of work and invest in a sand filter. You can use your existing piping so you don’t have to take it down.
Love the set up definitely going to do the waterfall
What size PVC did you use to actually connect to the existing ports on the side of the pool?

Do you have a video on converting to the new pump? I recent bought an upgraded pump but the hoses don’t line up.
I don’t.

Do you have the link for leveling the pool legs?
