Thanks for this! I've never played Street Fighter but I've always had an interest in playing Dictator if I ever started, finally decided its time to start but felt lost not knowing where to even begin. This is a great, quick introduction to give me a foundation for how to actually start playing, Thank you.
This is great, but under-called the danger Bison faces when under pressure. He really has no defense and escape is the priority. As a result, you can't sit on a charge all day like Guile or Balrog. Good bison players disguise their charging with neutral jumps or whiffs. It's also worth mentioning using his standing MK to snuff fireballs, and his cr.MK meaty. Cr.HK slide is so risky on block I would put major caveats around beginners using it other than to trip jumping opponents or as an escape from the corner...
I remember the good old days when I was a kid and played SSF2T on the DOS version, always playing Dictator. My older brothers banned me from using crouching HK because they didn't know how to escape it and I basically infinite-d to death every time. Back then I agreed on not using it, but now, I would just throw them a "SKILL ISSUE" in response.
the characters had their names switched around when they manufactured the game for america (Boxer) M.Bison got the name Balrog (Claw) Balrog got the name Vega (Dictator) Vega got the name M.Bison to avoid confusion between the names when talking about the characters the community agreed to use Boxer, Claw, and Dictator
To become intermediate, you kinda have to master the charge-building combos, and unlike CvS2 and USF4, they're not that easy. I love ST and this is the game that made me a Bison player, but I still suck at the proper combos. Also, just a random note, a mid-screen super that doesn't kill can always be followed up with jumping MP (aka Hell Attack).
