I love phuong Dan can be so off kilt. Wata igarashi absolutely played with our minds and hearts a few months ago in Melbourne. Ugh. So delicious. My friend took his girl to her first techno gig that time too and she absolutely understood and fell in love that night too
I heard him at Boom festival. Never heard anything like this. The soundscapes and the details of the music, every brain cell was dancing while my heads were in my hands
Glynn Tang he opened with his one track Adrenochome with some live overlays, and the vibe in the room was insane. Swear some girl next to me was orgasming.
Is the music at that event minimalist type stuff? Is it all good like this? I am going to Minnesota but unfortunately the Monday after this event this year :(
Wata Igarashi - Mood of the Machines Part II this sound gives me a tingling sensation in the mouth/throat when i listen to it , i think it's coming from the high pitched "watery" noises in the background , can anyone relate ???
Sooooooo what music genre is this? Like Minimal techno? While its great to listen to (especially while working) the guys at the gig don't seem to be having much of a great time. They all just look tired. Definitely no DNb rave....
I'd say that's accurate; minimal, hypnotic techno. And people don't seem to be that bored, this music leads the way for a more mental and introspective dance, not a very physical kind of rave.
It's more of a "rave in your own head" techno, I would love to space out on his set, not just with (or without) drugs but just losing yourself in the music for 2 hours and no talking
Saw this guy at the Observatory (Saigon) last night. One of the best nights of music I've experienced in a very long time
I saw him at De School earlier this month. Next level. You probably already know but if you haven’t already check out Phuong Dan

Question and Answer - Wata Igarashi
Wata Igarashi - Warp [WIP06]
The music selection is really nice it's just sad that he only uses 2 jogs through-out the whole set with that one fader up.
Why is that sad ?
Alan Andrade, that implies a lot of unreleased potential with his level of skill.
Give that man a (Space)cookie!

event he's playing at identified it as "psychedelic techno"
