It's a shames, i thought this game was amazing I love the characters in tekken, but i have a strong preference to the street fighters combat. So I adored this game. Its a shame it had dlc characters hidden in the disk thing, which pissed off alot of people. The light, medium, heavy, heavy tag move felt alittle clunky and unnecessary. But one of my fave cross overs ever. Although I would love to see street fighter x mortal combat.

That shit was horrible compared to SF4 and king of fighters. Anyhow i no longer support Capcom after how SFV was released. Glad too marvel infinite died almost immediately. Still SxT can still make a strong come back if they release it on new system and do away with the cost of gems. Maybe pallets.

As a casual console gamer, I feel like Street Fighter x Tekken deserves a rerelease on the PS4/5 & XBOne/X. Even though my skills were trash, I enjoyed playing on and offline. 10yrs and people are still playing the game and honestly, we've been waiting 9 years for Tekken x Street Fighter to be freed from development prison but it's safe to say it died there.
Funny thing is the on-disc locked content dlc that made this so hated back then is absolutely nothing compared to how awful DLC and microtransaction bull has become.
The only time you see people playing this game in 2022 is online tourneys. I'm glad I got to enjoy this game during its life cycle. I was Ken/kazuya main until Cody came as DLC then I swapped Ken for Cody. Both are heavy hitters and both have moves safe on block I can tag my 2nd main in without them being punished.

Too late. However, I wish he would be a guest character in Street Fighter 6, especially since Terry Bogard & Mai Shiranui (3rd party characters) have become available in the game.

This game had huge potential. But tekken x sf is still a possibility. Maybe namco will succeed in this. I have high hopes because akuma is amazingly well made in tekken 7.

A very underrated game. As I grew up playing both of these games I was so excited to play this. It was the most epic crossover. It has its flaws but it’s fun more than anything.

The biggest problem this game had was that the damage was so low almost every game ended in a time out rather than a KO. They mostly fixed that with the 2013 update but by that point the game was long dead and everyone had moved on.

It was fun in the beginning but yeah that dlc on the disc was a slap in the face and the gem system turned us off completely. The characters and combos were so fucking cool though. to put it bluntly, the marketing was bad to the point the gems were pay-to-win. there were constant time outs in version 1.0 due to recoverable hp regens fast as hell.
This was in the earlier days of microtransaction shenanigans, when it was still not frequent for games to have tons of DLC... Let alone SFxT having the gall of locking all the content in the game via DLC. Gems were also basically pay to win, something absolutely outlandish back then since it was practically unprecedented outside a then fledgeling gacha market. The market has since gotten far more aggressive with DLC, to the point where what they did wouldn't bat an eye now. Also, companies are a bit smarter with unused data... And the stuff has a more staggered release (seasonal DLC). Are gems even used in whatever competitive scene this had?
every fighting games, especially 2D need more Mishima archetype instead of a typical shoto. of course, it's hard to learn and requires a precise execution but I think it's actually fun to play when you get used to it. unfortunately, they weren't many "Mishima" characters in 2D games.
so a char with target combos, hard links, and command normals on every button? thats what i imagine how a mishima style char in a sf game would be designed, they just sort of made them sf characters with more target combos in sfxt, itd be interesting how they try it again if they ever would

Those were unused assets from the development of Tekken x Street Fighter they put into Tekken 7 with Akuma who is from an alternate universe of the main SF universe. The Akuma we see in T7 is not the same Akuma from SF. Tekken x Street Fighter is still on hold btw, we will see it, but we don't know when, since Harada hasn't really given an update since that interview he had saying that the game isn't cancelled. I actually wanna see M.Bison, Vega, Ryu, Ken, Cammy, Dudley, Guile, and any other SF character in the 3D environment of Tekken. It would be epic, but since most of you whine and bicker over Akuma, Geese, and Eliza (Who aren't even played that much), you're not giving Tekken x Street Fighter a chance when it's supposed to have both 3D and 2D elements.

This made me realize that tekken sorta lacks a certain flair in their animations that shows a characters personality and traits. This put them all on display and gave each character a different feel not just in how they played but how they expressed themselves in their motion. Tekken does have this to a degree but its alot more subtle to the point the actual interactions between characters like win poses and tag grabs from tag 2 stand out waaay more.

I had this game and I didn't like it. However what kept me playing it was Jin, Kazuya and being able to have them team up with Akuma. If I didn't already have too many fighting games, I would honestly give this game another shot.
IF CAPCOM had give a coupon for street fighter 4 at the time this game would be huuuuuuuuuge ! but ppl simply got sticked with sf4 saying it was the same game. capcom didn;t want to make this a dlc also so ppl said i aint buy it and capcom simply didn''t care. great game though. i am wating for rival schools 3 forever lol

This game is actually fun and has a solid game mechanic to be honest.
Wish we could get a sequel. This game was really underappreciated.
Of there is a collab between these two franchises aa a Tekken game animation style that would be fun and will Become so famous street fighter and Tekken characters together but with Tekken and SF mixed mechanics

I loved this game more characters to choose from as well
I had this game and I didn't like it. However what kept me playing it was Jin, Kazuya and being able to have them team up with Akuma. If I didn't already have too many fighting games, I would honestly give this game another shot.
Why Capcom never made a sequel is beyond me. The only aspect I didn't like was the gems system

i hope this game becomes available in the philipines, on steam, but for some reason they sell the gems here but not the base game itself.

IF CAPCOM had give a coupon for street fighter 4 at the time this game would be huuuuuuuuuge ! but ppl simply got sticked with sf4 saying it was the same game. capcom didn;t want to make this a dlc also so ppl said i aint buy it and capcom simply didn''t care. great game though. i am wating for rival schools 3 forever lol
