    What a wonderful recording! The instrument sounds beyond beautiful in this temperament. Well done, lovely interpretation of this Froberger suite.

    That is stunning, Ralph! I love the quarter-comma meantone temperament, and You play it to sound very well. Keep up the great work!

    To my ears and feelings the Swiss have made great progress in the practice of early music on appropriate instruments. Many thanks for this jewel of a recording.

    I presume that having all of the split keys means there could not be a second 8’ choir. I would love to see a demonstration of how those appogiaturas sound playing the other sharp key.
    Anyway the one 8’ choir has a wonderful sound!

    А между ми и фа: это ми-диез или фа-бемоль? То же между си и до?
    Исполнение прекрасное. Спасибо.

    The craftsmanship on that instrument is absurd.

    Tell us about the strings of the instrument : one set or 2 , brass string or brass and metal, what music can we play with such an instrument and what can't we play .

    What sort of tuning is this? I can hear that it's a sort of meantone type? Which one is exactly?

    What's the little key between E and F and B and C notes ?

    • @Hamstray
      @Hamstray 8 дней назад

      E# and B#, or Cb andFb if you need to tune it that way. if you had all of them you'd easily lose yourself on the keyboard.

    Thank you for sharing this! Wonderful performance. I don’t think I’ve ever heard this piece in tune. It sounds quite different.
    Is there any possibility we could hear recordings on this instrument in 1/3-comma meantone (19edo)?

    It seems your wrists keep moving up like some pianists. It's easy to lose control, especially about releasing keys.

    How can you talk about “temperament”when there are so many split sharps?

    • @francoisbruel9163
      @francoisbruel9163 Год назад +1

      Well it allows for pure thirds in more keys, so basically you've got your "normal" meantone which is C-based, plus other ones too. Sorry I'm not an expert though.

    • @95tupolev
      @95tupolev Год назад

      It is a temperament, and is usually known as extended meantone.
